WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Louis Edgar Merica, 40, of Pigeon Cove Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident near Hancock.
Born April 17, 1950, in Winchester, Va., he was the son of James and Martha Whinnery Merica of Hampton, Va.; and the stepson of Thomas and Harriet Baer Whinnery of Hampton.
He was employed by Wolfe and Sons Paving in Myersville, Md., as a truck driver.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1977.
He was a Protestant.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Goldie Lynn Smith Merica, whom he married
Oct. 2, 1976; two daughters, Amanda Marie Merica and Megan Elizabeth Merica, both at home; two sons, Zachary Louis Merica serving in the U.S. Army in Germany and Joshua James Merica, at home; a sister, Debra Gray of Accoid, N.Y.; and three brothers, James Merica of Virginia Beach, Va., Wilbur Merica and Eugene Merica, both of Hampton.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hancock Assembly of God Church, Pennsylvania Avenue in Hancock. The Rev. Eugene Harne will officiate.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church, which will be open from 5 p.m.
Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home, Hancock.
Calvin D. Younker

Born Sept. 22, 1954, he was the son of Janet Younker of Falling Waters, W.Va.
He was employed by Wolfe and Sons Paving in Myersville, Md.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a Protestant.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Christine Marie Wilt Younker, whom he married
Sept. 22, 1985; two daughters, Crystal Dawn Lanehart of Needmore, Pa. and Bobbi Lynn Younker, at home; a son, Ezekial Webster Younker, at home; his grandmother, Goldie A. Barnhart of Hancock; a sister, Goldie Lynn Merica of Warfordsburg; six half sisters, Lucille Mellott of Needmore, Donna VanDaniker and Beverly Fink of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Pat Mills of Martinsburg, W.Va., Roxanne Keefer of Hedgesville, W.Va. and Angie Cullen of Smithsburg; and three half brothers, Lenny Divelbliss of Warfordsburg, Lonnie Divelbliss of Mercersburg, Pa. and Bobby Divelbliss of Berkeley Springs.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hancock Assembly of God Church, Pennsylvania Avenue in Hancock. The Rev. Eugene Harne will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Naomi A. Hahn
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Naomi A. Ahalt Hahn, 97, of Falling Spring Nursing Home, and formerly of Smithsburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Oct. 21, 1902, in Middletown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mae Alice Horine Ahalt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Luther Hahn, in 1961. They were married
in April 1922.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Blue Mountain Church of God.
She is survived by five daughters, LaNono A. Mong and Wanda L. Stitely, both of Waynesboro, Verona J. Hurley of Hagerstown, Yvonne Schliem of Beloit, Wis. and Omega M. Bloom of Forrest Hill, Md.; a son, Jay W. Hahn of Ballwin, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Rhodes.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. Pastor Wilbur F. Besecker will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery in Cascade.
The family will receive friends Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Samuel A. McCurdy
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Samuel A. McCurdy, 84, of 572 E. Catherine St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at his home.
Born Nov. 15, 1915, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late William and Henrietta Shoemaker McCurdy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Wolff McCurdy, in 1992.
He was a cabinet maker. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, having worked in the carpentry and sheet metal unit.
A member of the 1386th Army Air Force Unit, he was a bombardier on a B-17 in World War II.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of Chambersburg VFW Post 1599.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda Greaves of Chambersburg; a son, Michael B. McCurdy of Crystal River, Fla.; a sister, Mary M. Hill of Chambersburg; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Etter; and a brother, James A. McCurdy.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave. in Chambersburg. The Rev. Linda Harter will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery with military services by VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard.
Visitation will be Friday at noon at the funeral home.
John J. Lehman
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - John J. Lehman, 85, of Menno Haven, and formerly of 5815 Mountain Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at Menno Haven.
Born Jan. 26, 1915, in Lancaster, Pa., he was the son of the late Jacob and Salome Ebersole Lehman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet R. Friese Lehman, in 1993.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served in Europe during World War II.
He owned and operated a service station on Lincoln Way West in Chambersburg; He was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot, retiring in 1965. He operated J.R. Lehman's Market on U.S. Route 11 south of Chambersburg.
He was a member of Mount Olivet United Brethren Church near Chambersburg.
He is survived by three daughters, Beckie Armstrong of Fort Loudon, Pa., Dorcas Schmutzler and Lisa Patterson, both of Chambersburg; a brother, Virgil Lehman of Fayetteville, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 11 sisters and brothers.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Mount Olivet United Brethren Church, Chambersburg. The Rev. Stan McCammon will officiate.
Burial will be in Norland Cemetery in Chambersburg with military services by Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW.
Visitation will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 1770 E. Market St., York, PA 17402; or Mount Olivet United Brethren Church, Youth Fund, 8205 Fort McCord Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
