Hildreth Skuse Weaver, 92, of Michaux Manor, and formerly of 10361 Old Mill Road, Waynesboro, Pa., and 207 Menno Haven, Chambersburg, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Michaux Manor.
Born Dec. 18, 1907, in Canandaigua, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John and Nina Mae Hildreth Skuse.
Her husband, Harold Rowland Weaver, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died April 29, 1988. They were married
May 24, 1932.
She was a graduate of East High School in Rochester, N.Y., and Mansfield University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
She was a housewife and assisted her husband in his work at various YMCAs.
She was a member of Church of the Transfiguration in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.
She was a member of Waynesboro YMCA; Geta Gradale and Ladies Auxiliary of Waynesboro YMCA; Heritage Club; National AARP; Local South Chapter Antietam Humane Society; Fellowship Chapter of Eastern Star in Rochester; and Pi Gamma Mu and Keppa Delta Pi societies.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Lochstampfor Funeral Home, South Church and West Second streets in Waynesboro. The Rev. Stephen Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Charles E. Sadler
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Charles E. Sadler, 70, of 80 Jeffries Court, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at Polyclinic Medical Center in Harrisburg, Pa.
Born Sept. 27, 1929, in Jackson, Tenn., he was the son of the late Willie E. and Dorothy Cora Meadows Sadler.
He retired in 1976 from the U.S. Army at Letterkenney Army Depot, with the rank of sergeant major after 28 years of service with the Ordnance, Quartermaster and Signal Corps. His decorations included the Bronze Star; Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster; National Defense Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster; Korean Service Medal; Army Occupational Medal (Japan); Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm.
He was employed by Blaine Hardware in Hagerstown as a sales manager.
He was a member of Charles M. Nitterhouse Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1599 and Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46, both of Chambersburg. He bowled with the VFW and Nellie Fox bowling leagues.
He is survived by his wife, Sally A. Ness Sadler, whom he married
July, 24, 1998; three sons, John Sadler, U.S. Army, of Belgium, David Sadler of Los Angeles, and Christopher Sadler of Sullivan, Wis.; two stepdaughters, Jacqueline Ernst of Long Island, N.Y., and Robin Smith of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; two sisters, Iris Thompson of Nashville, Tenn., and Dorothy Lindsey of Springfield, Tenn.; a brother, Don Sadler of Los Angeles; his former wife, Reine Valantin Sadler of Chambersburg, Pa.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Robertson County Funeral Home, 2201 Memorial Blvd., Springfield. Burial will be in Robertson County Memorial Garden, Springfield.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg and Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Robertson County Funeral Home, Springfield.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, Franklin/Fulton Division, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Marion E. Diehl
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Marion E. Diehl, 94, a resident of Menno Haven, formerly of 101 N. Born Nov. 18, 1905, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late D. Harvey and Ella Burkholder Diehl.
She was a graduate of the former Cumberland Valley State Normal School and Shippensburg State Teachers' College in Shippensburg, Pa.
She was a teacher in Chambersburg School District at Andrew Buchanan Elementary School for 28 years, former Central Junior High School for five years and J. Frank Faust Junior High School for seven years.
She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Chambersburg, where she was a member of United Methodist Women.
She was a member of National Educational Association, Pennsylvania State Education Association and member and co-founder of Chambersburg Art Alliance.
She is survived by a number of cousins.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. A. Robert Cook and Darlene Coldsmith will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery in Chambersburg.
There will be no viewing.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church Building Fund, 750 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Francis S. Husar
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Francis S. Husar, 71, of 346 S. Oller Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born April 8, 1928, in Treschow, Pa., he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Batchison Husar.
He was a 1946 graduate of Hazelton Area High School; and a 1957 mechanical engineering graduate of the University of Maryland.
He was employed as a supervisory primary examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the Washington, D.C. area, retiring in 1986. He then worked part time as an instructor with the Patent Academy in the Washington area; and volunteered in the Waynesboro community as a tutor teaching English to foreign born residents. He worked at the local senior center helping people prepare tax returns.
He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean War; and served in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1961.
He was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.
He was a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge 731, Waynesboro; Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15, Waynesboro; and Chambersburg AARP Chapter 1063.
He is survived by his wife, Hildegard Kraus Husar, whom he married
Nov. 26, 1953; a daughter, Therese Welch of Duluth, Ga.; four sons, Stephen Husar and Gregory Husar, both of Burke, Va., Mark Husar and John Husar, both of Fredericksburg, Va.; two brothers, Paul Husar of Great Falls, Va., and Cornelius Husar of Herndon, Va.; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Rita's Catholic Church, Wyndam Road and Monterey Lane, Blue Ridge Summit. The Rev. Michael Messaro will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fairfield, Pa.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. A Wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m.

Melvin E. West

He is survived by two daughters, Sally L. Weagley of Waynesboro and Danna S. Thorsen of England; three sons, Larry M. West of Waynesboro, Barry R. West of Kissimmee, Fla. and Paul L. West of Lancaster, Pa.; one sister, Helen Black of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Lynn E. West; and one brother, Raymond West.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Revs. Donald L. Bender and Ken Wenger will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Earl E. Bumbaugh
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Earl E. Bumbaugh, 78, of Falling Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of Trinity House and 424 E.
