BIG COVE TANNERY, Pa.- Stephen M. Born Dec. 26, 1926, in Whitney, Pa., he was the son of the late Michael Stephen and Teresa Veronica Vargovich Onusko.
He had been employed by C. Wm. Hetzer, Hagerstown, and Deardearff Construction in Chambersburg, Pa.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of V.F.W. in McConnellsburg.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn A. Gearhart Onusko, whom he married
Sept. 4. 1976; a daughter, Veronica M. Chrisman of Roanoke, Va.; a son, Stephen Onusko of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Margaret Shultz of Latrobe, Pa., and Ellie Stoner of Ruffs Dale, Pa.; four brothers, Thomas Onusko of Latrobe, George Onusko of Hossetter, Pa., Michael Onusko of Michigan, and Robert Onusko of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock. The Rev. George W. Glick will officiate. Burial will be in Damascus Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery, with military honors by Fulton Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. For the convenience of friends the funeral home will be open Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m.
Albert W. Myers
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Albert W. Myers, 81, of 6 Bennett Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at his home.
Born Sept. 26, 1918, in Mercersburg, he was the son of the late Albert and Martha Stenger Myers.
He was a graduate of the former Mercersburg High School.
As a young man he worked for the former Pen Mar Grocery Store of Mercersburg and then he was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot. He owned and operated Al's Food Center of Mercersburg from 1953 to 1961. He then worked for Acme Super Markets from 1961 until his retirement in 1982.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mercersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Brubaker Myers, whom he married
Nov. 19, 1939; a sister, Bernice Zeger of Greencastle, Pa.; four grandchildren, Michelle D. Lehman of Fayetteville, Pa., Jeffrey A. Myers of Williamson, Pa., Steven M. Myers and Gregory L. Myers, both of Chambersburg; and five great-grandchildren.

There will be no viewing.

Meloney D. Bohrer
WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Meloney Dawn Bohrer, 27, of Fairview Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born April 25, 1972, in Berlin, Germany, she was the daughter of Wilbur Fink of Hancock, Md., and Carol L. Unger Fink of Martinsburg, W.Va.
She was a homemaker.
She attended Buck Valley United Church of Christ in Warfordsburg.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Floyd S. Bohrer Jr. of Warfordsburg, whom she married
July 27, 1991; a daughter, Keshia Bohrer at home; three sons, Stanley Bohrer, Jacob Bohrer and Ellic Bohrer, all at home; a sister, Danielle Bamber of Martinsburg; and grandparents Robert S. and Sarah Unger of Berkeley Springs.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Buck Valley United Church of Christ. The Rev. Frank Teeter and the Rev. Clint Bahrenburg will officiate. Burial will be in Buck Valley Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St. in Hancock; and Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the church. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Monday from 1 to 9 p.m.
William J. Rayson
FORT LOUDON, Pa. - William James Rayson, 76, of 5538 Turkey Road, Cowans Village, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at his home.
Born July 5, 1923, in Hazelton, Pa., he was the son of the late James Stanley and Olive Dorothy Letcher Rayson.
He was a 1941 graduate of Hazelton High School.
He was employed with Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Company, Fisher Body General Motors and Middlestad Machine Company. He retired with 28 years of service.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and served during World War II. He was discharged as a corporal.
He was a lifetime member of Wesley Yeager American Legion Post 606 of Fort Loudon, and served as commander for two years; Clarence Armstrong VFW Post 6241 of Mercersburg, Pa.; James McKibben American Legion Post 561 of McConnellsburg, Pa.; and Landis McCleaf Marine Corps of Chambersburg, Pa. He was 22nd District Deputy Commander for years representing Post 606. He worked with the Gardenville Little League, serving as president for two years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, F. Lucille Menscer Rayson, and three cousins, Margaret Ann Kruznuski of Reading, Pa., Edward Rayson of Albuquerque, N.M., and Harrison R. Rayson of Chalmette, La.
Services will be Monday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Ted A. Hale will officiate. Burial will be in Stenger Hill Cemetery, Fort Loudon.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Monday in the funeral home.
The Fulton County Honor Guard will perform graveside military services.
Samuel George

He is survived by sisters and brothers, Jenny Lee George, Betty Brown and Sandy George, all of South Carolina, James Mathis, Chris George, Gerald George, Linda George, Kenny George and Ranita George, all of Chambersburg, and Beverly George of New York; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave. in Chambersburg. Elder Leroy McKenzie will officiate. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Margaret L. Kissinger
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Margaret L. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Kissinger, in 1989.
She was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by a son, John R. Kissinger of Shippensburg, Pa.; a sister, Esther Ernst of Mercersburg; a brother, Edward Lowans of Chambersburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son and three sisters.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Prudence B. Yelinek will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Mercersburg.
The viewing will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
