Born June 11, 1915, in Newark, N.J., he was the son of Edward C. and Lottie Pointkowski Ziemba.
He retired from Mack Truck Inc. in Hagerstown in 1981 after 20 years service.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Mackey Ziemba, whom he married
Sept. 28, 1972; one daughter, Leslie Barry of Rutherford, N.J.; one son, Barry E. Ziemba of Atlanta, Ga.; three stepdaughters, Emily Todd of Ridley Park, Pa., and Katherine Batzell and Karen Sanders, both of Philadelphia; one stepson, John Gary Cappuccio of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Services and burial in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
John P. Kahot
VALPARAISO, Ind. - John P. Kahot, 86, of Valparaiso, formerly of Chambersburg, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Porter Memorial Hospital.
Born May 25, 1913, in Clairton, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Anna Vasil Kahot.
His wife, Dorothy M. Kahot, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Dec. 1, 1994.
He was a retired shearman in the steel industry.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chambersburg.
He is survived by a son, Barry Kahot of Chesterton, Ind.; four sisters, Anna Serkes-Misevich of Clairton, Mary Janco of Virginia, and Helen Urbanovich and Margaret Suslo, both of Elizabeth, Pa.; and two granddaughters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Luis Rodriquez will be celebrant. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Members of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard will conduct graveside military honors.
Arrangements are by Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
Gloria J. Hollenbaugh
MURRYSVILLE, Pa. - Gloria J. Hollenbaugh, 50, of Murrysville, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born Nov. 9, 1949, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Loretta Elter and the late Richard Elter.
She was employed by Tribune-Review as an advertising account executive.
She was a veteran.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Roger C. Hollenbaugh; three daughters, Christiana J. Hollenbaugh of Murrysville, Cynthia M. Petrisko of Elizabeth Township, Pa., and Staci M. Speierman of Maryland; a son, Eric Hollenbaugh of Murrysville; two sisters, Loretta Trauner and Lois Basham; and a brother, Richard Elter.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at All Saints Church in Etna, Pa.
Visitation will be at Bock Funeral Home, 1500 Mount Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, Pa., today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Joseph L. Kuba
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Joseph Leo Kuba, 81, of Piney Mountain, and formerly of South Mountain Restoration Center in South Mountain, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at the nursing home.
Born Jan. 5, 1919, in Hazelton, Pa., he was the son of the late Stephen Kuba Sr. and Mary Mrazik Kuba.
He attended Hazelton schools.
He was employed on farms in the Hazelton area; and then worked in the coal mines.
He is survived by a sister, Agnes Sendek of Coronado, Calif.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Susan Kuba, Anna Sabol, Mary Mikula and Helen Kuba; and a brother, Stephen Kuba Jr.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 3 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Waynesboro, Pa. The Rev. Joseph C. Carolin will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro.
Edward E. Sipes
MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Edward Eugene Sipes, 39, of P.O. Born Aug. 11, 1960, in McConnellsburg, he was the son of Edgar Harold Sipes of McConnellsburg and Rose Ann Stoddard Sipes of York, Pa.
He was a welder with Greencastle Metal Works in Greencastle, Pa.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of National Guard in Waynesboro, Pa.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his first wife, Brenda Sipes of McConnellsburg; three daughters, Ashley Johnston of St. Thomas, Pa., Echo R. Sipes and Lauralye N. Sipes, both of McConnellsburg; maternal grandmother, Alice Zimmerman of Lima, Ohio, and paternal grandmother, Hetti Sipes of Hagerstown; two sisters, Sharri L. Myers of York, Pa., and Tammy C. Brasher; two brothers, Craig A. Sipes of Lima, Ohio, and Bryan Sipes of Warfordsburg, Pa.; his fiance, Laura Emehiser of McConnellsburg; three stepgrandchildren; and two nieces.
A religious service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Nazarene in Harrisonville, Pa. Pastor Dan Porterfield will officiate.
Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sipes Funeral Home in Harrisonville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
Mary M. Bloom

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Bloom, in 1995. They were married
Feb. 28, 1948.
She worked as a central supply technician at Gettysburg Hospital, retiring in 1995. She earlier worked in shoe factories in Emmitsburg, Md., Fairfield, Pa. and Waynesboro.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer L. Robinson of Waynesboro; three sons, Thomas E. Bloom, David G. Bloom and Gerry L. Bloom, all of Waynesboro; three sisters, Mazie A. Murdorf of Fairfield, Elsie V. Sites of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa. and Florence A. Royer of Buckeystown, Md.; three brothers, John C. Carson and Merle V. Carson, both of Waynesboro and Ira L. Carson of Gettysburg; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane C. Bloom; five sisters; three brothers; and a granddaughter.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. Pastor Eugene Cline will officiate. Burial will be in Fountaindale Union Cemetery in Adams County, Pa.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
