Born Sept. 6, 1923, in Lantz, Md., she was the daughter of the late William A. and Edith L. Lewis Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Sanders Sr., in 1994. They were married
Jan. 11, 1944.
She was a 1940 graduate of Thurmont High School.
She was employed by Knouse Foods. She and her husband had owned and operated Eddie's Grocery Store in Cascade.
She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Sabillasville, Md.
She was a member of National Chapter of AARP; Blue Ridge Sportsman Club; and Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 239 in Cascade.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia J. Henning of Waynesboro; a son, Edmond Sanders Jr. of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.; eight sisters, Marie E. Willhide of Western Maryland Hospital in Hagerstown, Edna V. Pittinger of Thurmont, Md., Hazel F. Smith of Ashville, N.C., Beulah M. Rice of Frederick, Md., Betty Lou Burrier of Rocky Ridge, Md., Margie Patterson of Baltimore, Cora L. Kuhn of Smithsburg and Nancy Stottlemyer of Sabillasville; three brothers, Calvin W. Smith of Cavetown, John R. Smith of Ableville, La. and Jerome A. Smith of Emmitsburg, Md.; a granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. Pastor Tony L. Hardcastle will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery in Cascade.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marcella Wachter

Born March 2, 1911, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Mary Elsie Lohr Bowers.
Her husband of more than 60 years, C. Kenneth Wachter, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Nov. 3, 1994.
She was a 1929 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
She was employed at the Record Herald Newspaper in Waynesboro as social editor from 1929 to 1940, then in the business office. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro and taught Sunday school.
She was a first ward, second district, Republican Committeewoman. She was a member of Mount Vernon Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star; Franklin County Chapter of Daughters of the Republic; Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary; National AARP and North Chapter 739 AARP; member and past president of YMCA Auxiliary; past member and vice president of Waynesboro Council of Republican Women; and had been a Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Ann Friese of Greencastle, Pa.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters; two brothers; and one grandson.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Herbert C. Spomer will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Doris E. Truett
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Doris E. Born Aug. 16, 1923, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Margurite Boward Bricker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. "Buzz" Truett, in 1990.
She was an electronic mechanic at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, retiring in August 1987. She had been employed by J. Schoeneman Co. in Chambersburg.
She served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
She was a member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion; Marine Corps League; and AMVETS Post 224, all of Chambersburg.
She is survived by two sons, Richard E. Truett of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Lawrence W. Truett of Chambersburg; a sister, Phyllis Jane Ebberts of Glen Burnie, Md.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a half brother.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. Donald C. Nolder will officiate. Burial will be in Price's Church Cemetery in Waynesboro, Pa., with military services by Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard.
Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Henry F. Wagner

He worked at Mack Trucks Inc. in Hagerstown, retiring in 1999.
He was a former member of Landis-McCleaf Detachment Marine Corps League of Chambersburg.
He attended King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg.
He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly L. Marshall of Fayetteville, Pa.; two sons, Douglas E. Wagner of Yacca Valley, Calif., and Donald E. Wagner of Chambersburg; three sisters, Dorothy Witten of Alabama, Patsy Beltz and Mary Evelyn Fleagle, both of Chambersburg; four brothers, Ralph Smith and William Smith, both of Chambersburg, Ray Smith of New York and Donald Smith of Greencastle, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister; and two brothers.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. Lester F. Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg, with military services by members of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos H. Diller, in 1983. They were married
June 14, 1928.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Paradise Mennonite Church of Hagerstown.
She is survived by four daughters, Miriam R. Horst, Rhoda R. Petre and Esther R. Martin, all of Waynesboro, and Eunice R. Diller of Greencastle; three sons, Mahlon R. Diller of Shippensburg, Pa., Paul R. Diller of Greencastle and Mark R. Diller of Carlisle, Pa.; two sisters, Rhoda H. Hege and Mary H. Martin, both of Hagerstown; 52 grandchildren; 151 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jacob R. Diller; four sisters; two brothers; and an infant granddaughter.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Miller's Mennonite Church near Leitersburg. Paradise and Miller's Mennonite Churches Ministry will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Miller's Mennonite Church near Leitersburg; and Saturday at 9 a.m. at the church.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
Arrangements are by Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle.
