Born Dec. 21, 1910, in Norfolk, Va., she was the daughter of the late Levin and Beulah Carroll Rewis.
Her husband, Robert L. Brown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died June 12, 1993.
She had been employed as an auditor by the Internal Revenue Service.
She is survived by a daughter, Belva Brown Conner of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Salem Cemetery. The Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate.
There will be no public viewing.
Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
Arthur H. Pensinger
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Arthur H. Pensinger, 88, of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of Greencastle and Zullinger, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born April 3, 1911, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Lawrence and Lottie Wishard Pensinger.
He worked for Landis Tool Co., Waynesboro, Pa., for 18 years; and then as a partner in Pensinger and Lanehart Construction Co. of Greencastle.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 1758 and Eagles Club, both of Waynesboro; former Moose Club of Hagerstown; social member of Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. and Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion, both of Greencastle.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel K. Statler Pensinger of Greencastle; a daughter, Doris Wells of Greencastle; three sons, Robert Pensinger and Thomas Pensinger, both of Greencastle, and Joseph Pensinger of Clifton, Va.; two sisters, Mary Statler and Ruth Mull, both of Menno Village, Chambersburg; a brother, Carroll Pensinger of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Browns Mill Cemetery, Kauffman, Pa. The Rev. Stuart Troutman will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
Arrangements are by Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle.
Thomas W. Horton
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Thomas W. Horton, 71, of 298 Mill Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Feb. 29, 1928, in Hopewell, Pa., he was the son of the late William R. and Goldie F. Chaney Horton.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1966, retiring as a master sergeant. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of Open Door Church in Chambersburg.
He also was a member of General James Chambersburg Lodge 801 F.&A.M.; Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 V.F.W.; Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, and Franklin County Chapter 2287 AARP, where he was past president, all in Chambersburg; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Club Valley and The Zembo Temple, both in Harrisburg, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Mary T. Gould Horton, whom he married
July 18, 1952; two sons, Frank V. Horton of Chambersburg, and Timothy W. Horton of Spring Grove, Pa.; two sisters, Gertrude M. Helsel of Saxton, Pa., and Lucille Weiser of Hopewell; two brothers, Donald R. Horton of Chambersburg and Joseph P. Horton of New Egypt, N.J.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and six brothers.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Keith Skelton will officiate. Burial will be in Wells Valley Presbyterian Cemetery, with military services conducted by Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 V.F.W. Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday at 10 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Open Door Church, 600 Miller St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

YORK, Pa. - Marian J. Her husband, William V. Anderson, preceded her in death.
She was an executive secretary in Hagerstown.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hagerstown.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; and garden clubs in Hagerstown and Ormond Beach, Fla.
She is survived by one daughter, Marian-Joan Gilroy of York; one son, William H. Anderson of Lawrenceville, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Noell N. Michaelis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Road, York, with the Rev. Victor Kriley as celebrant. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York.
The family will receive friends at John W. Keffer Funeral Home, 902 Mount Rose Ave., York, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center, 515 S. George St., York, PA 17403.
Anna C. Derstler
NEW GERMANTOWN, Pa. - Anna C. She is survived by her husband, Vernon R. Derstler, whom she married
June 27, 1954; two daughters, Jodi L. Wright of Windsor, Pa., and Kimberly S. Abel of Wrightsville, Pa.; three sons, Vernon R. Derstler Jr., of Maytown, Pa., Gary L. Derstler of Raleigh, N.C., and Jamie S. Derstler of Wrightsville; five sisters, Ruth Triechler of New Holland, Pa., Caroline Hodison of New Providence, Pa., Shirley Riggleman and Sandy Gable, both of Columbia, Pa., and Lois Smuck of Palmyra, Pa.; three brothers, Robert Fletcher of Silver Springs, Pa., Jack Fletcher of Mountville, Pa., and Donald Fletcher of Mt. Joy; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two granddaughters and two brothers.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Spring Run Bible Church. The Revs. John Semple and Clyde Gwinn will officiate. Burial will be in Blain (Pa.) Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at John L. Agett Funeral Home, Dry Run, Pa.; and Thursday at 10 a.m. at the church.
