CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Joseph W. Brown, 78, of 4988 Greenvillage Road, and Falling Spring Nursing Home in Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born Sept. 2, 1921, in Hopewell, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry and Blanche Dodson Brown.
An electronics technician, he was employed at Signal Corp. of Philadelphia, working at Letterkenny Army Depot.
A veteran of World War II, he was stationed in England while serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of Chambersburg American Legion Post 46; and Chambersburg VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Z. Ruth Alloway Brown, whom he married
Nov. 25, 1944; a daughter, Trudy Gerhart of Chambersburg; a son, James R. Brown of Chambersburg; four sisters, Margaret Leader and Mary Deshong, both of Everett, Pa., Dora Albright and Dorothy Napoline, both of Bedford, Pa.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Craig W. Brown; a sister, Grace Bequeath; and a brother, Chester Brown.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Bethel Cemetery in New Grenada, Pa. The Rev. Stanley Cordell will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel Cemetery Association, c/o Mrs. Larry Houck, 260 Hoover Road, Robertsdale, PA 16674; or to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Arrangements are by Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
Linda L. Ulrich
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Linda L. Izer Ulrich, 53, of 6787 Furnace Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at her home.
Born Aug. 15, 1946, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Franklin B. and Florence B. Swope Izer.
She attended Waynesboro schools.
She worked as a presser for Waynesboro Knitting Mill and for Connie's Sportswear, both of Waynesboro; and worked seasonally at Five Forks Fruit as a packer. She retired in 1999.
She was a member of Fayetteville Church of God, Fayetteville, Pa.
She is survived by her husband, Terry L. Ulrich, whom she married
Dec. 16, 1967; a daughter, Lori L. Izer of Shippensburg, Pa.; two sons, Jeffery A. Ulrich of Hagerstown and Terry L. Ulrich of Chambersburg, Pa.; five sisters, Marlene McCardell of Mont Alto, Pa., Shirley A. Caufman of Fayetteville, Sandra S. Brown of Orrtanna, Pa., Nancy J. Krietz of Cascade and Darlene M. Honeycutt of Walstonburg, N.C.; four brothers, Donald M. Izer of Mont Alto, Larry E. Izer, Howard L. Izer and Robert L. Izer, all of Waynesboro; a grandson; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. The Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Mont Alto.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Frank H. Myers
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Frank H. Myers, 90, of 143 Williamson Ave., and formerly of Zullinger, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at his home.
Born Jan. 28, 1909, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late William A. and Annie C. Hess Myers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Della May Strike Myers, in 1993. They were married
in November 1944.
He attended school in the Chambersburg, Pa., area.
He retired in 1974 from Landis Machine Co. in Waynesboro, Pa. He raised beef cattle on his farm near Zullinger.
He attended Old German Baptist Church, Browns Mill Congregation, near Chambersburg.
He is survived by three daughters, Kay M. Blount of Waynesboro, Betty J. Eller of Cleveland, Ga., and Fern E. Benedict of Chambersburg; a son, Richard E. Myers of Waynesboro; two brothers, Fred W. Myers of Waynesboro and William A. Myers of Kaneohe, Hawaii; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, A. Lloyd Myers and infant Norman Myers.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Browns Mill Meeting House on Grindstone Hill Road near Chambersburg. The Home Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Browns Mill Cemetery in Kauffman, Pa.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
Janet L. Christophel

Born Jan. 20, 1945, near Welsh Run, Pa., she was the daughter of Paul Dean and Ruth Virginia Bingaman Carbaugh of Mercersburg, Pa.
She worked as a custodian for Macedonia United Brethren Church near Greencastle.
She was a member of Macedonia United Brethren Church, Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and Womens Missionary Fellowship.
She was a former member of Mercersburg Sportsman Ladies Auxiliary; and a member of the National Rifle Association.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Wayde L. Christophel Sr., whom she married
July 4, 1962; a daughter, Wannetta Louise Christophel of Greencastle; three sons, Wayde L. Christophel Jr. of Waynesboro, the Rev. John Wayne Christophel of Baltimore and Philip Andrew Christophel of Greencastle; two sisters, Doris M. Myers of Greencastle and Norma Jean Throckmorton of Mercersburg, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Macedonia United Brethren Church, Greencastle. The Revs. Gayle L. Ruble Sr. and Murray Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in the church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St. in Greencastle; and Sunday at 1 p.m. at the church.

GREENSBURG, Pa. - O. Born April 5, 1917, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Rowland O. and Esther Pyle Wallis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Rigley Wallis, in 1994.
He was an employee of Allegheny Power Co.
He served in the U.S. Army as a lieutenant colonel during World War II.
He was a member and president of Redstone Highlands Resident Association; and I.E.E.E. Association.
He is survived by five children, Thomas Wallis of Alexandria, Va., Ralph Wallis of Washington, D.C., Kathleen Kubilius of Aiken, S.C., Richard Wallis of Redmond, Wash., and Robert Wallis of Ellicott City, Md.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Burgess; and a brother, Rowland Wallis.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main St. in Greensburg.
Friends will be received Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at noon at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown.

Mable E. Morganthall
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Mable E. She retired from Mercersburg Dress Factory.
She is survived by a daughter, Helen L. Yeager of Mercersburg, Pa.; a brother, Donald L. Hite of Mercersburg; three grandsons, Donald E. Yeager Jr. of Williamson, Pa., Tommy L. Yeager Sr. of Mercersburg and Roger D. Yeager Sr. of St. Thomas, Pa.; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave. in Mercersburg. The Rev. Paul A. Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Welsh Run Brethren Cemetery in Welsh Run, Pa.
Visitation will be Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
