Born Dec. 9, 1914, in Carlisle, Pa., he was the son of the late Samuel E. and Annie Boyer Beitzel.
He was retired from Letterkenny Army Depot as a supervisor.
He was a member of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, and Hume-McNeal-Byers AMVETS Post 224, all of Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia C. Berklite Beitzel, whom he married
May 1, 1938; two sons, Leroy E. Beitzel Jr., of Fayetteville and Samuel L. Beitzel of Burke, Va.; two sisters, Alma Bender of Chambersburg and Mary Kim of Arlington, Va., and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Hopkins, and a brother, Samuel E. Beitzel.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Menno B. Sollenberger will officiate.
There will be no public viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Franklin/Fulton Division, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to Mount Union United Methodist Church, Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville, PA 17222.
Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
Nellie M. St. Clair
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Nellie Mae St. Clair, 87, a resident of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab Center, and formerly of 422 Black Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Feb. 7, 1912, in Shippensburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Reath Shannon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. St. Clair, on Nov. 7, 1951.
She was employed at the former Hotel Montgomery and the former Stanley Co., both of Chambersburg.
She was a member of Cedar Street Mennonite Church, Chambersburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Hazel Decker and Brenda Reitz, both of Chambersburg; a son, Richard E. St. Clair of Fayetteville, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lillie Mae Carbaugh; a sister; a brother and two foster brothers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Darrell D. Baer will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donald R. Meckley
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Donald R. Meckley, 82, of Menno Haven Nursing Home, and formerly of 824 Eastland Road, Waynesboro, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born in Biglerville, Pa., he was the son of the late George E.G. and Grace Weigle Meckley.
He was a 1935 graduate of Biglerville High School. He attended Penn State University.
He worked in the dairy industry his entire life. He and his wife owned and operated Antietam Diary in Waynesboro from 1948 until his retirement in 1988.
He was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Goldie Louise Good Meckley; a daughter, Diane A. Mackey of Chambersburg; four sons, George E. Meckley of Chambersburg, Donald R. Meckley Jr. of Middletown, Md., the Rev. David M. Meckley of Beaver Springs, Pa., and Craig C. Meckley of Waynesboro; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Memorial services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Waynesboro Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Prudence B. Yelinek will officiate.
There will be no public viewing. Mr. Meckley's body was donated to science.

She is survived by five daughters, Linda DeShong and Alma Ashley, both of McConnellsburg; Alice Colledge of Everett, Pa., Barbara Sipes of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Joyce Mannetti of Needmore, Pa.; three sons, Roger Sowers of Breezewood, Pa., Donnie Sowers of McConnellsburg and Denny Sowers of Chambersburg, Pa.; two sisters, Mary Rohm of McConnellsburg and Elenore Ritchey of Hancock; four brothers, Loyld Barnhart of Greencastle, Pa.; Roy Barnhart and Bobby Barnhart, both of McConnellsburg, and Isaac Barnhart of Wells Tannery, Pa.; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Madeline Adams; two sons, Kenny Sowers and Robert Sowers; one sister; four brothers and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., Harrisonville, Pa. The Rev. William Swope will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore.
There will be visitation Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Elmond B. Ely

He retired in 1973 from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, as a production controller.
He attended King Street United Brethren Church, Chambersburg.
He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol during World War II, an active member of Cumberland Valley Human Society, a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and American Association of Retired Persons.
He is survived by his wife, June Hassler Ely, whom he married
Nov. 26, 1949; one sister, Rose Ely Kraiss of Chambersburg; two nieces, Susan Ely Hair of Chambersburg and Linda Ely Moore of Chico, Calif.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard G. Ely.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
There will be no viewing.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl A. Muller-Harvey of St. Thomas; one son, William S. Muller of Chambersburg; two brothers, Francis Mack of Cincinnati and Larry Mack of Golden, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. C. Edward Morgan will officiate. Private burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
