Born Dec. 24, 1921, in Shippensburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Jacob L. and Margaret Belle Shoup Vandrew.

He attended Shippensburg-area schools.

He was a self-employed truck driver and had worked for Cressler Trucking. Before his retirement, he and his son owned and operated Village Service Center in Marion.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters.

He was a Protestant.

He was a member of Marion Volunteer Fire Co.; Harry D. Zeigler VFW Post 6319 and Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post 373, both of Greencastle, Pa.; and National AARP.

He is survived by his wife, M. Lorraine Talhelm Vandrew, whom he married Sept. 20, 1941; two daughters, Donna Lee Vandrew Davis of Maugansville and Karen Dee Vandrew at home; a son, William Earl Vandrew of Marion; four sisters, Kathryn Clark of San Jose, Calif., Margaret Kemper of Harrisburg, Pa., Helen F. Vandrew of Shippensburg and June Dunn of Shenandoah Junction, W.Va.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Latsbaugh; and two brothers, George Vandrew and John Vandrew.

Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. Pastor Paul B. Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Browns Mill Cemetery in Kauffman, Pa., with military honors by Chambersburg VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. The Greencastle VFW will hold a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the building fund of Marion Volunteer Fire Co., 21 Colorado St., Marion, PA 17235.

Frances C. Wooldridge

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Frances C. Wooldridge, 87, of Route 3, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born Feb. 6, 1912, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Albertina Heidereich Heil.

She was a medical secretary for Dr. O'Donell in Washington. She also was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Hancock and St. Peter's Ladies Auxiliary.

She was a member of Warfordsburg (Pa.) Senior Citizens Club; Women's Medical Auxiliary, St. John's Mothers Guild, and PTA for parochial schools, all in Washington, D.C.; and National Geographic Society.

She is survived by three daughters, F. Christine Rooney of Reston, Va., Mary L. Perry of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Liz A. Sheehan of Mercersburg; two sons, William N. Wooldridge Jr. of Owings, Md., and Bob Wooldridge of Mercersburg; a sister, Agnes Springer of Arlington, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Catherine Schumacker and Delores Heil.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 16 E. High St., Hancock, with the Rev. George W. Glick as celebrant. Burial will be in Damascus Cemetery in Big Cove Tannery, Pa.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, which will be open from 1 p.m. The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.

Pansye M. Hann

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pansye Mae Kinley Hann, 85, of Manorcare Nursing Home, and formerly of Trinity House, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at the nursing home.

Born May 11, 1914, in Tomstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harris and Ada Miller Kinley.

Her husband, Harold V. Hann, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1987. They were married July 4, 1941.

She was a member of Church of the Brethren in Hagerstown.

She was a 1933 graduate of Waynesboro (Pa.) Area High School.

She worked at Waynesboro Hospital and later at Hagerstown Nursing School as a receptionist.

She is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Brunner, Virginia Harbaugh and Martha Butts; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Blanche Harbaugh; four brothers, Wilbur Kinley, Richard Kinley, Charles Kinley and Harris Kinley Jr.; and two stepsisters, Ardella Dowlin and Susan Powell.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lochstampfor Funeral Home, South Church and West Second streets, Waynesboro. The Rev. Dean Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

There will be no viewing.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Richard L. Mills

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Richard L. Mills, 69, of 4486 Pine Lane, and formerly of Appleway, St. Thomas, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born July 6, 1930, in Everett, Pa., he was the son of the late Albert and Stella Markle Mills.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Garland Mills, in 1995.

He was employed by Nitterhouse Concrete as a laborer, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of American Legions in Fort Loudon, Pa., and Mercersburg, Pa.

He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Stine of St. Thomas; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Williams; and two brothers, Wilbur Mills and Donald Mills.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 6492 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas. The Rev. Harold Yeager will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday at 1 p.m. The funeral home will be open from 2 p.m. Wednesday.

M. Lorraine Cutshaw

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - M. Born May 4, 1936, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Lee S. and Dorothy Haagen Cutshaw.

She had worked for Sagner Co. in McConnellsburg as a seamstress. She worked at Clarence Armstrong VFW Post 6241 of Mercersburg, Pa., as a waitress/bartender for 20 years.

She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Post 6241.

She is survived by her companion of three years, Paul Downin of Greencastle, Pa.; three daughters, Dorothy M. Doyle of McConnellsburg, Alice L. Ahalt of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Patricia A. Hall of Maddensville, Pa.; two sons, Robert E. Cutshaw of McConnellsburg and William D. Cutshaw of Mercersburg; seven sisters, Jean Donald Ficks of Chambersburg, Barbara Miller of Lititz, Pa., Lois J. Kuykendall of Scotland, Pa., Wanda K. Gress of Harrisonville, Pa., Linda Miller and Sandra Ramsey, both of McConnellsburg, and Janet McGowan of Zullinger, Pa.; five brothers, Richard Zeger of Mercersburg, Larry Zeger and William D. Zeger, both of McConnellsburg, Alfred Zeger of Harrisonville, and Lee S. Zeger Jr. of Fort Littletown, Pa.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Marie Zeger.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ of Mercersburg. The Rev. Clarence W. DeHart, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg, and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Mary L. Walter

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church, Shippensburg, Pa.

She is survived by her husband, Carl D. Walter Sr., whom she married Dec. 26, 1942; a daughter, Linda K. Stottlemyer of Chambersburg; three sons, Carl D. Walter Jr., David L. Walter and Gerald R. Walter, all of Chambersburg; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Florence Saltzberg, Pearl Smith and Jenny Yoder; and two brothers, Charles Nelson and Paul Nelson.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg. The Revs. Lloyd Zimmerman and Bob Murr will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday at 1 p.m. The funeral home will be open Wednesday from 2 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Building Committee of Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church, 22 Mt. Rock Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
