Born March 25, 1958, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of Mae Mowen McClain of West Virginia and the late Roy Starr.
He was employed by NVR Inc., in Thurmont, Md., as a carpenter. He had been employed at Nitterhouse Concrete in Chambersburg.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of New Guilford Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Linda D. Seville Starr, whom he married
April 13, 1981; one daughter, Lisa Marie Starr, at home; one son, Ronald William Starr, at home; four sisters, Linda Hobbs of Fayetteville, Pa., Judith Ann Starr of New York, Tina Short of Chambersburg and Brenda Cook of Utah; three brothers, Ralph Starr of Virginia, Paul Starr of Chambersburg, and Linford Starr of New York.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Robert D. Verno will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ruth C. Johnston
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Ruth C. Wagaman Johnston, 83, of 352 Pyle Drive, and formerly of 228 S. Born Sept. 3, 1916, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Caroline Carbaugh Wagaman.

Oct. 14, 1939.
She had been employed by Waynesboro Knitting Mill.
She volunteered for American Red Cross as a nurse's aide.
She was a member of Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church in Waynesboro and attended Wayne Heights Brethren Church.
She was a member of South Chapter 2977 AARP in Waynesboro and National AARP.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce A. and James Souders of McConnellsburg, with whom she resided; a grandson, Bradley J. West of Waynesboro; two great-granddaughters; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ira Wilson Wagaman.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro. The Rev. Harold W. Walton will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wayne Heights Brethren Church, 124 Strickler Ave., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Charles H. Ridgley
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Charles H. "Charley" Ridgley, 81, of 473 Nelson St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Nov. 29, 1918, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Charles and Bess McCans Ridgley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Keckler Ridgley, in 1980.
He was a 1936 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
He had been employed by Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Plant, Baltimore; Chambersburg Gas Co.; was on the staff of the borough after it absorbed the gas company and was gas department superintendent from 1959 to 1972. He then worked in the Utilities Collection Department until his retirement in 1994.
A veteran of World War II, he served with Co. C of the 53rd Armored Infantry Battalion of the 4th Armored Division of the Third Army under Gen. George C. Patton. He was awarded the European campaign ribbon with three battle stars, and the Distinguished Unit Badge, among others.
He was a life member of Zion Reformed Church.
He was a member of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW; Detrich-Brechbill Post 612 A. L. St. Thomas; Chambersburg Club; a social member of Landis-McCleaf Detachment Marine Corps League; and AARP.
He is survived by one son, Dennis Ridgley of Chambersburg; and one sister, Bess Walck of Chambersburg.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Revs. Jeffrey R. Diller and Robert Dean will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.
Memorial donations may be made to Zion Reformed Church, 259 S. Main St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Grace F. Chilcote

Born Sept. 18, 1934, in Everett, Bedford County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Julius and Leona Ash Forrester.
She was a homemaker.
She was of Protestant faith.
She is survived by her husband, Clem Chilcote, whom she married
on Oct. 4, 1951; six daughters, Kathy Beegle of Everett, Barbara Snyder of Newville, Pa., Robin Keefer of Fort Loudon, Pa.; Mary Keefer of Waynesboro, Pa., Gloria Gordon of Mercersburg and Janet Walls of St. Thomas, Pa.; two sons, Daniel Chilcote of Fort Loudon and Roger Chilcote of Mercersburg; one sister, Etta Forrester of Chamberaburg, Pa.; two brothers, Ford Forrester of Everett and Herbert Forrester of Cleveland; 30 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two infants; three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, Pa. The Rev. John Warner will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Harrisonville, Pa.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services on Tuesday.
Frances P. Ray

She was a teacher's aide in Mont Alto nursery school following her marriage. In addition to being a homemaker, she was a secretary for the family owned business of K.M. Ray Heating, Plumbing and Air Conditioning Contractor from 1946 until her retirement in 1976.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro.
She was a member of Pythian Sisters of Leitersburg, Mason-Dixon Antique Auto Club, Hagerstown, National Antique Car Club of America, B.P.O. Elks Lodge 731 Auxiliary, Waynesboro.
She is survived by one daughter, M. Louise Morningstar of Waynesboro, one son, Kenneth M. Ray Jr., of Leitersburg; one foster daughter, Janet Ervin of Lincolnton, N.C.; one sister, Eleanor Summers of Waynesboro; one brother, George Stumbaugh of Williamsport; five grandchildren; one step-grandchild; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Nellie Irene Stumbaugh; two brothers, Charles Stumbaugh and Paul Stumbaugh and one foster son, James Earl Cook.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43 S. Church St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Richard A. Seaks will officiate. Burial will be in Grindstone Hill Cemetery, Guilford Township, Franklin County.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
