HARRISONVILLE, Pa. - Louis K. Born Oct. 26, 1925, in Six Mile Run, Pa., he was the son of the late Carl L. and Agnes White Drenning.
He retired in 1980 from Letterkenny Army Depot, in Chambersburg, Pa., after more than 30 years.
A veteran of World War II, he was wounded in Germany.
He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Harrisonville.
He was a judge of elections in Taylor Township for 12 years and was Taylor Township Supervisor for more than 10 years.
He was a member of Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co.; Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Orbisonia, Pa.; VFW Post 655, McConnellsburg, Pa.; and Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Edwards Drenning, whom he married
on July 21, 1949; one son, Dale L. Drenning of Waterfall, Pa.; five brothers, Glenn Drenning of Wood, Pa., Arthur Drenning of Waterfall, Clyde Drenning of Harrisonville, Carl Drenning of Three Springs, Pa., and Robert Drenning of Hustontown, Pa.; and one sister, Wanda Yingling of Three Springs.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Drenning; two brothers, Norman and Donald Drenning; and one sister, Donna Diehl.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at M. R. Brown Funeral Home in Hustontown. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Harrisonville, with military honors by Fulton Honor Guard.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service.
Martha M. Gingrich
OSNABRUCK, Germany - Martha Mears Gingrich, 92, of Osnabruck and formerly of Menno Village, Chambersburg, Pa., and Larchmont, N.Y., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, in Osnabruck.
Born Aug. 10, 1907, in Dudley, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George L. and Alice Lloyd Mears.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Gingrich, in 1967. They were married
July 7, 1932.
She attended Shippensburg Normal School.
She taught elementary school in Dudley.
She was a member of Greencastle Presbyterian Church in Greencastle, Pa.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Kuehn of Sabina, Ohio; a son, Robert W. Gingrich Jr. of Osnabruck; three sisters; a brother; five grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister; and three brothers.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.
There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pennsylvania Association of the Blind, Franklin County Chapter, 181 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Mary J. Berringer
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary J. Berringer, 102, of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of 649 N. Born Aug. 2, 1897, in Cherry Tree, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Reeder and Mabel Isenberg Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Berringer, in 1963.
She had been employed by Home Care Service in Washington, D.C.; and worked as a housekeeper for the Catholic church in Alexandria, Va.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Chambersburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Rue E. Berringer of Chambersburg and Irene French of Fayetteville, Pa.; two sons, Reuel G. Berringer of Scotland, Pa., and Melvin J. Berringer of Reno, Nev.; a grandson; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two grandsons.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Alfred Morris will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Martha N. Lehman
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Martha N. Lehman, 96, of Menno Haven and formerly of 2437 Scotland Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at Menno Haven.
Born Sept. 4, 1903, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late David H. and Mary Horst Martin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard F. Lehman, in 1997. They were married
Oct. 20, 1963.
A retired seamstress, she had been employed by area clothing factories.
She was a member of Chambersburg Mennonite Church. She had served, with her husband when he was pastor, at Shady Pine Mennonite Church in Willow Hill, Pa.
She is survived by four stepdaughters, Martha Frey and Cora Lehman, both of Chambersburg, Eleonora Martin of Manheim, Pa., and Jean Hampton of Fort Loudon, Pa.; a stepson, Lewis Lehman of Hagerstown; 20 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Jay Lehman; a sister, Mary Martin Lehman; two brothers, Joseph P. Martin and Irvin L. Martin; and nine half-sisters and half-brothers.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Chambersburg Mennonite Church, 1800 Philadelphia Ave. in Chambersburg. Pastor Jerry A. Roth and Chaplains Vernon Isner and Samuel Troyer will officiate. Burial will be in Chambersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg; visitation also will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the church.

Charles C. Stewart

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Chambersburg; and a former member of Scotland United Methodist Church.
He was a member of Chambersburg Mall Walkers Club of Chambersburg; National AARP; and had bowled with senior leagues at Lincoln Lanes in Fayetteville, Pa., and Park Lanes in Shippensburg, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth M. Fisher Stewart, whom he married
March 24, 1951; a daughter, Susanna K. Babinchak of Harrisburg, Pa.; a son, Michael L. Stewart of Chambersburg; three sisters, Gladys Stewart of Menno Village and Betty Snyder, both of Chambersburg, and Grace Shank of Elizabethtown, Pa.; a granddaughter, and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by four sisters; and six brothers.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Park Avenue United Methodist Church, 125 Park Ave. in Chambersburg. The Revs. Robert E. Taylor and John W. Stamm will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery in Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the church.
