Born May 19, 1901, in Big Cove Tannery, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Calvin and Mazie Houpt Crouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd W. Mellott.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of McConnellsburg United Church of Christ, taught Sunday School and was a member of Women's Auxiliary.
She was a member of McConnellsburg Senior Citizens; and Fireman's Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet E. Geyer of McConnellsburg; a son, Charles Richard Mellott of Summerdale, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Shimer; an infant sister, Lydia Crouse; three brothers, John Crouse, Calvin Crouse and Parker Crouse; and a grandson.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McConnellsburg United Church of Christ. The Rev. Barron Barley will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St. in McConnellsburg; and Saturday at 10 a.m. at the church. The funeral home will be open Friday from 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to McConnellsburg United Church of Christ Sunday School Room.
M. Eva Baer
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - M. Eva Martin Baer, 97, of 1920 Clearview Terrace, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999, at her home.
Born Nov. 3, 1902, in Rouzerville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Carrie B. Rouzer Martin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Baer, in 1987. They were married
in October 1930.
She was a 1921 graduate of Washington Township High School; and a 1923 graduate of Shippensburg State Normal School.
She taught elementary education at Rouzerville and Hooverville schools until her retirement in 1969. She then worked as a substitute teacher.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rouzerville, taught Sunday school, served on the council and had been a pianist and choir member.
She was a member of Franklin County Retired Teacher's Association; and North Chapter 739 AARP.
She is survived by a son, John E. Baer of Torrance, Calif.; a sister, Kathryn Sease of Rouzerville; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lora Baker.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Steven Amundson will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Born May 6, 1958, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Darlene A. Crane Davies of Chambersburg and the late Ivor Davies Jr.
He was a 1976 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School; and attended Lock Haven (Pa.) University.
He was a self-employed salesman.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.
He was a member of Chambersburg YMCA; and a social member of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW of Chambersburg.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his companion, Amy R. Stinger of Chambersburg; a sister, Pamela K. Stambaugh of Chambersburg; and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 Commerce St., Chambersburg. The Rev. Neal O. Hively will officiate. Burial will be in Liverpool (Pa.) Union Cemetery.
There will be no public viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Mark Davies Memorial Fund, c/o Patriot Federal Credit Union, 800 Wayne Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chambersburg.
She was a member of Hairdresser's Association in Arlington.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Nelson Martin; two nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, Pa. The Rev. Daniel Lawler will officiate. Burial will be in Upton Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Upton, Pa.
The family will receive friends Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Harry W. Thomas

He was employed by Dunn and McCarthy Shoe Co. in Auburn, N.Y.
He was a member of Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church in Waynesboro, Pa.
He was a member of BPO Elks 378; American Legion Funkstown Post 211; and Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Schlotterbeck Thomas; two sons, Steven W. Thomas of Hagerstown and David M. Thomas of Greencastle; three sisters, Ruth Custer, Virginia Rohrer and Mary Jane Thomas, all of Hagerstown; and three grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Wilbur Besecker will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, where BPO Elks 378 will conduct a memorial service.

A memorial service for Malcolm Scott Mullendore, 44, of 9650 Old National Pike, Rocky Knolls Farm, Hagerstown, will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport.
