CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Lelia F. Wierman Fogle, 91, a resident of Manorcare Health Services, and formerly of 425 W. Seventh St., Waynesboro, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born May 22, 1908, in Catoctin Furnace, Md., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nora Mae Miller Wierman.
She married

She attended Blue Mountain and Thurmont, Md., schools.
In her early life she worked for Wayne Manufacturing, Waynesboro, as a presser and did seasonal work for Musselman's in Orrtanna, Pa., and then worked for Mont Alto Forestry as a packer. She also did some domestic work in the area.
She was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Waynesboro, and Philathia Sunday School Class.
She helped to cook for the Rescue Mission in Hagerstown.
She is survived by four daughters, Frances V. Miller of Elizabethtown, Pa., Judy A. Bowman of Darlington, Md., Cinda K. Fogle, a resident of Manorcare, and Cathy L. Jacques of Smithsburg; two sons, Robert F. Fogle of Vista, Calif., and Carlton R. Fogle of Waynesboro; three sisters, Vada Waterfield of Waynesboro, Anna Happel of Baltimore and Helen Lantz of Lantz, Md.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Fogle; one granddaughter, Rebecca Miller Knox; two sisters, Clara Bentzel and Armatha Benchoff, and one brother, LeRoy Wierman.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Earl L. Summers will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Waynesboro Welfare Association, 13 S. Church St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
Glenn H. Briggs
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Glenn H. Born Aug. 1, 1928, in Burnt Cabins, Pa., he was the son of the late Jesse W. and Margaret Hampton Briggs.
He was employed with Daily Express, Carlisle, Pa., as a truck driver.
He served with the Army during World War II.
He was a former member of Chambersburg VFW.
He is survived by four daughters, Glenda M. Sprecher of Shippensburg, Pa., Nancy A. Park of Chambersburg, Nina L. Harris of Madison Heights, Va., and Rhonda D. Schramm of Fayetteville; three sons, William F. Briggs of Chambersburg, Robert G. Briggs of Cottondale, Fla., and David L. Briggs of Hagerstown; three sisters, Helen Fogal of Chambersburg, Edith Locke of Fayetteville and Geraldine Kelly of East Waterford, Pa.; one brother, Julian Briggs of Columbia City, Ind.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Louis Briggs, Herbert Briggs, Kenneth Briggs, Donald Briggs and Robert Briggs.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Art Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Burnt Cabins.
There will be visitation Wednesday one hour prior to the services.
Military graveside services will be conducted by Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard.
Perry B. Free
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Perry Boyd Free, 83, of 1223 Pleasant View Drive and formerly of Sebring, Fla., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at his home.
Born June 14, 1916, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Edith Peabody Free.
He worked for the Civil Service, retiring from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg as a Systems Analyst with L.S.S.A.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Australia and the Philippines with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was an airplane line chief with the 332nd Depot Repair Squadron.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.
He was a life member of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, a life member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, a member of B.P.O.E. 600, and Falling Spring Chapter of AARP, all of Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Ora Vines Free, whom he married
Dec. 26, 1942; three daughters, Camille Harr of Chambersburg, Suzanne Stoner of Spartanburg, S.C., and Paulette Thompson of Hamilton, Miss.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; two brothers; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave. in Chambersburg. The Rev. Neal O. Hively will officiate. Burial will follow in Norland Cemetery near Chambersburg, with military services conducted by members of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW honor guard.
Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born Aug. 25, 1912, in Fredericksburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Sydney R. and Ella Maddox Whitfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence N. Cook, in 1992.
She was a 1930 graduate of Saxton High School in Saxton, Pa.
She retired in 1974 from the former Fairchild Industries in Hagerstown.
She attended The Open Door Church in Chambersburg. She was a member of Stonerstown Church of the Brethren in Stonerstown, Pa.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda M. Besecker of Fayetteville, Pa.; a son, Rodney N. Cook of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Paul D. Whitfield of Chambersburg and Robert Whitfield of Stonerstown; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Services will be Friday, Dec. 3, at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. Arthur Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Saxton, Pa.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Kassidy Lynn Bumbaugh-Masser, of 221 Dickinson Ave., infant daughter of Stacey L. Bumbaugh and Gregg D. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Vivian E. Fogle Masser.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Quincy, Pa.

She was a 1935 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
She was employed during the 1940s by J.C. Penney Co. in Waynesboro as a sales clerk and later as an office worker.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Waynesboro.
She was a member of national AARP.
She is survived by a son, Thomas J. Foose of Waynesboro; a sister, Marie Peiffer of Waynesboro; two brothers, William Helfrick of Waynesboro and George Helfrick of Gettysburg, Pa.; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. The Rev. Jay E. Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.
