CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary Jane Stouffer Seaward, 79, of Luther Ridge, and formerly of Patagonia, Ariz., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born March 13, 1920, in Greensburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Ada M. Barkdoll Stouffer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Everett Seaward, in 1994. They were married
Sept. 15, 1951.
She was a graduate of Smithsburg High School; and a 1942 graduate of Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a nurse at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore; Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City; Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla., and Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, Calif. She worked as a private duty and office nurse. She retired in the late 1960s.
She was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Patagonia.
She was a member of National AARP.
She is survived by a sister, Phyllis L. Stouffer of Waynesboro, Pa.; a brother, Samuel C. Stouffer of Waynesboro; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Rieman L. Beeler, Frances M. Harne and Helen Kaiser; and a brother, Roger Stouffer.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. The Rev. Richard A. Seaks will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Charlotte K. Walter
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Charlotte K. Born Oct. 14, 1920, in Shippensburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Helen Fogelsonger Kent.
She was a 1938 graduate of Shippensburg High School; attended Shippensburg State Teacher's College; and Carlisle Business College.
She was employed by Federal Farm Security Administration; was a civilian employee at Fort Stevens, Ore.; was secretary at Central Presbyterian Church; and worked at Letterkenny Army Depot.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, was on committees, sang in the choir and was a Girl Scout leader.
She was a volunteer with Meals-on-Wheels; Franklin County Toy Mission; and a member of Falling Spring Chapter 2840 AARP.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clarence G. "Bud" Walter; a daughter, Constance Bonbrest of Lowell, Fla.; a son, Gregory A. Walter of Harrisburg, Pa.; and two grandsons.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Steven D. Dorsett will officiate.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing.

Erma C. Lydic

Born Dec. 21, 1935, in St. Thomas, Pa., she was the daughter of the late David Merle and Mabel Gertrude Greenawalt Brake.
She was an Avon sales representative.
She had attended St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Williamson, Pa.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Lydic Sr.; a stepson, Norman Lydic Jr. of Greencastle; four sisters, Louise Johnson of Shippensburg, Pa., Helen E. Barges of St. Thomas, Edna Shatzer of Chambersburg and Janet Pine of Marion, Pa.; a brother, the Rev. Roy Brake of Mercersburg, Pa.; two step-grandsons; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Benchoff and Ruth Horn.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 6492 Lincoln Way West in St. Thomas. Pastor Herb Busick and the Rev. Alan Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 2 p.m. Friday and on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Helen R. Mason
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Helen R. Mason, 86, of Falling Springs Nursing Home, and formerly of Baptist Road in Hancock, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born Nov. 29, 1912, in Pearre, Md., she was the daughter of the late John P. and Susanna Donegan McKnight.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Breen T. Mason, in 1968.
A veteran of World War II, she served in the U.S. Army Nurses Corps with the 30th General Hospital.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Hancock; and Ladies of St. Peter's.
She was a member of Webster B. Harrison Post 26 American Legion in Hancock.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary Sue Burkholder of Chambersburg, Jeannie Fox of Hancock, Zita Ritchick of Hagerstown and Patty Patterson of Falling Waters, W.Va.; two sisters, Zita Norris of Frederick, Md., and Agnus Imes of Hagerstown; a brother, Thomas McKnight of New Carrolton, Md., and 12 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Hancock. The Rev. George W. Glick will be celebrant. Burial with military honors by members of Tri-State Honor Guard will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St. in Hancock. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.
Mabel A. Frederick
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Mabel A. Frederick, 63, of 4429 Altenwald Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Nov. 11, 1936, in Harlan, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Willie and Maud Turner Baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Frederick, in 1995. They were married
Feb. 1, 1958.
She retired this year from Plasterer's Florist and Greenhouse in Chambersburg.
She attended King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg. She was a former member of Fetterhoff Chapel United Methodist Church, had been active in Children's Musical Activities and Children and Youth Sunday School. She was a past president of United Methodist Women; a former trustee of the church; past president of Quincy (Pa.) United Methodist Home Auxiliary; and member of Bible Study Fellowship.
She was a member of Franklin County Rose Society.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy J. Salter of Chambersburg; a son, Michael D. Frederick of Greensburg, Pa.; three sisters, Mildred Wilder of Bledsoe, Ky., Mossie Sites of Chambersburg and Jean Bumbaugh of Fayetteville, Pa.; four brothers, Berry Baker, Rastus Baker, Bill Baker and John Baker, all of Chambersburg; three granddaughters and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Baker and Otis Baker.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at King Street United Brethren Church, 172 E. King St. in Chambersburg. The Revs. Patrick B. Jones and Lester F. Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Fetterhoff Chapel Cemetery in Chambersburg.
There will be no viewing; however, the family will receive friends today at 2 p.m. at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to King Street United Brethren Church, 172 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
