MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Ada B. "Mattie" Mullen, 52, of 12138 Buchanan Trail West, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born Aug. 12, 1947, in Searsport, Maine, she was the daughter of Marjorie Randlett Maddocks of Belfast, Maine, and the late Warren Maddocks.
She was a 1966 graduate of Searsport High School.
She was employed at Citicorp of Hagerstown.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, John O. Mullen, whom she married
in 1994; one daughter, Lindy E. Lesher of Hagerstown; one son, Lenwood E. Anthony of San Francisco; one stepdaughter, Sharlene M. Riess of Mercersburg; one sister, Leah Maddocks of Stockton Springs, N.H.; one brother, Kenneth Maddocks of Salisbury, N.H.; and two stepgrandsons.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Samuel L. Sheffler will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing, however, the family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Franklin Unit, 452 East King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Evelyn L. Helm
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Evelyn L. Trace Helm, 74, of 11232 Cross St., and recently a resident of Manor Care Health Services in Chambersburg, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Dec. 2, 1924, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Hattie Grace Moats Trace.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Helm, in 1981. They were married
Aug. 17, 1942.
She was a 1942 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
She and her husband owned and operated Helm's Market.
She was a member of Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church in Waynesboro. She attended Helping Hands Sunday School Class and was a member of Women Missionary Federations and Prayer Team of the church.
She was a member of South Chapter 2977 AARP of Waynesboro; and National AARP.
She is survived by two sons, David C. Helm of Shermansdale, Pa., and C. Douglas Helm of Waynesboro; a sister, Lois Barnhart of York, Pa.; three brothers, Charles H. Trace and William Trace, both of Waynesboro, and Delbert Trace of Falls Church, Va.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Snavely, Isabelle Scott and Dorothy Varner; and four brothers, Walter Trace, Glenn Trace, Norman Trace and Edward Trace.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church, 801 Park St., Waynesboro. Pastor K. Allan Mummert will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Church Missions Fund, 912 S. Potomac St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
Anna E. Rowe
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Anna Elizabeth Stoddard Rowe, 87, of 304 N. Broad St. and a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home in Quincy, Pa., and formerly of California, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born March 25, 1912, in Sandy Creek, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mae Allen Stoddard.
She graduated from a New York high school.
She was a bookkeeper for Market Basket in Dansville, N.Y., and a bookkeeper and head cashier for Terry's Grocery in Escondido, Calif.
She was a member of Waynesboro Presbyterian Church.
She also was a member of the National AARP.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen T. Rowe, whom she married
April 5, 1962; one daughter, Shirley M. Campo of Rochester, N.Y.; one son, William E. Mothorpe of Hampstead, N.C.; one brother, Louis Stoddard of Greencastle, Pa.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Smith.
Private services will be held Monday at Chamberlin Funeral Home in Dansville. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery in Dansville.
There will be no viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Waynesboro Presbyterian Church, 105 E. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro.
Daniel G. McCleaf Sr.
BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - Daniel G. Born March 17, 1947, in Broadtop, Pa., he was the son of Madeline Jean Fleck McCleaf of Waynesboro, Pa., and the late Guy C. McCleaf.
He was a 1967 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
He was employed by I.S.P. Minerals in Blue Ridge Summit since September 1967.
He was a coach for Coyle Brother's Softball Team.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Linda Marie Kennedy McCleaf, whom he married
July 23, 1981; two daughters, Traci L. McCleaf of Waynesboro and Wendy Jo McCleaf of Blue Ridge Summit; a son, Daniel G. McCleaf of Waynesboro; two stepdaughters, Patty Jo Fielder of Albuquerque, N.M., and Debbie A. Ness of Blue Ridge Summit; a stepson, Jerry W. Lesley of Blue Ridge Summit; a sister, Connie J. Bombardier of Rouzerville, Pa.; a grandson; four step-grandchildren; a niece; a nephew; aunts; uncles and cousins.
Services will be Monday at noon at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. The Rev. Paul Tobias will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery in Cascade.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Helen A. Horst
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Helen A. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Horst, in 1997.
She worked as a seamstress at Stanley Co. She and her husband built and operated Carlton Heights Market.
She was a member of Mercersburg Mennonite Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Martin of Mercersburg, Pa.; a son, Leroy D. Horst Jr. of Lansdale, Pa.; five brothers, Glenn A. Cordell and Merle G. Cordell, both of Chambersburg, Irvin E. Cordell and Wilbur C. Cordell, both of Mercersburg, and Wayne E. Cordell of Greencastle, Pa.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Mercersburg Mennonite Church. Allen Eshleman, Mahlon Eshleman, Merle Cordell and Lloyd Gingrich will officiate. Burial will be in Mercersburg Mennonite Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 6492 Lincoln Way West in St. Thomas; and Monday at 9 a.m. at the church. The funeral home will be open Sunday from 2 p.m.

She was a member of Hume-McNeil Byers AMVETS Post 224 Ladies Auxiliary of Chambersburg; and Women of the Moose 1128 of Chambersburg.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Pupo; two daughters, Carla Mumma and Cindy Stickler, both of Chambersburg; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. Lester F. Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
