Born Jan. 20, 1978, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of Sarah Kline Fogelsanger of York, Pa., and Robert G. Woodring of Waynesboro, Pa.

He was a 1996 graduate of West York High School, where he had played baseball and football. He had attended school in the Chambersburg Area School District prior to moving to York.

He was employed by 3M Tool in York.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by five sisters, Holly A. Kline and Danielle L. Fogelsanger, both of Greencastle, Pa., Amanda Jo Allen and Melissa A. Allen, both of York, and Nichole R. Woodring of Waynesboro; two brothers, Jason M. Kline of Waynesboro and Joel R. Fogelsanger of Greencastle; paternal grandmother, Kathleen Woodring of Waynesboro; and paternal grandfather, Arthur Woodring of Hagerstown.

Service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Estella M. Blasser

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Estella M. Blasser, 101, of 2075 Scotland Ave., formerly of Elizabethtown, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999, at Menno Haven in Chambersburg.

Born Jan. 2, 1898, in Hickory Corners, Pa., she was the daughter the late Edwin Franklin and Etta Fietta Hepner Long.

Her husband, Dr. J.A. Blasser, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1956.

She was a 1915 graduate of Dalmatia (Pa.) High School and attended Pennsylvania State Normal School in Shippensburg. She later attended business school in Harrisburg, Pa.

After receiving her teaching certificate, she taught in a one-room school near Dalmatia. She also kept the books for her husband's medical practice.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Chambersburg.

She is survived by a daughter, M. Lorraine Betz of Chambersburg; two granddaughters; five grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Edward F. Blasser; two sisters; and a brother.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Stephen W. Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg, Pa.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, 1811 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Paul E. White

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Paul E. White, 91, of 2632 Sarah Place, and formerly of 1575 Wilson Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, at Menno Haven Inc.

Born June 9, 1908, in Marysville, Pa., he was the son of the late James E. and Sara Hipple White.

He was a graduate of Marysville High School and Penn State College. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi and Chi Epsilon and Honorary Engineering Society. He also graduated from Harrisburg Conservatory of Music at age 16.

He was a member of the contracting firm of Brown, Davis and White. In 1952 he became president and chairman of Valley Quarries Inc. in Chambersburg. He retired in 1985.

He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He served during World War II as a commander of a construction battalion maintenance unit on various islands in the South Pacific.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Chambersburg.

He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Order, a member of General James Chambers Lodge 801 F&AM, Chambersburg, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Temple Shrine, George Washington Royal Arch Chapter 176, Continental Commandery 056, Knight Templar, Waynesboro Shrine Club. He was a life member of BPO Elks 600, Chambersburg, and Chambersburg Club. He was past president of Chambersburg Area Chamber of Commerce and was honored as a member of the Hall of Fame on 1992. He was past president of Chambersburg Hospital, and past president of Harrisburg and Franklin County chapters of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Ward White, whom he married in 1941; a niece; a nephew; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Memorial services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Robert Cook will officiate. A Masonic service will be conducted at the church. Burial will be private.

There will be no viewing.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Arrangements are by Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Robert W. Myers

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Robert W. "Sam" Myers, 80, of 138 Ohio Ave., Apt. 2, and formerly of 1545 Scotland Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Manorcare Health Services.

Born Dec. 18, 1918, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Charles D. and Valeria Florig Myers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Louise Cramer Myers, in 1983.

He was a 1936 graduate of Chambersburg High School.

He worked for Chambersburg Engineering Co. after high school. In 1949 he started working for Letterkenny Army Depot. He retired in 1981 as inventory management specialist.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of King Street United Brethren Church, Chambersburg.

He was a member of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, and Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46, both in Chambersburg.

He is survived by a daughter, Sally Ann Ader of Mercersburg, Pa.; a son, Robert Jay Myers of Denver; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at King Street United Brethren Church, Chambersburg. The Revs. Paul B. Baker and Kenneth E. Wenger will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery near Chambersburg.

There will be no viewing.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Orville E. Hockensmith

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Orville E. Born March 4, 1925, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles C. Sr. and Edith Gift Hockensmith.

He was retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, where he worked for more than 25 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a life member of Charles W. McCleary Post 78 of the Disabled American Veterans in Chambersburg.

He is survived by a daughter, Wanda J. Barnhart of Mercersburg; a son, Orville Eugene Hockensmith Jr. of Chambersburg; three sisters, Geraldine Gordon of New Franklin, Pa., Janice Martin of Williamsport, Ind., and Janet Ellis of Chambersburg; two brothers, Donn Hockensmith Sr. and Charles Hockensmith Jr., both of Chambersburg; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. Military graveside services will be conducted by Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard.

Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Levearl A. Schriever

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Levearl A. Born Nov. 25, 1927, in Amaranth, Pa., he was the son of the late Andy and Beatrice Engle Schriever.

He was retired from Ryder/PIE, Hagerstown, as a line driver. He was a former chairman of the Brush Creek Township Board of Supervisors. He a lifelong farmer.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hancock Ward. He was branch president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Buck Valley Branch, for more than 15 years.

He was a former member of the board of directors of Suburban Bank, Hancock. He was on the Southern Fulton School Board for 24 years.

He is survived by his wife, Belva E. Plessinger Schriever, whom he married in 1949; three daughters, Lois E. Morgan of Hazelton, Idaho, Diana F. Schriever of Warfordsburg and Maxine R. Willett of Burke, Va.; two sons, Walter L. Schriever of Warfordsburg and Daniel R. Schriever of Crofton, Md.; four sisters, June Bohlman of Hancock, Ruth Oakman and Dorothy Turner, both of Warfordsburg, and Nancy Hiatt of Brighton, Colo.; one brother, Ralph Schriever of Warfordsburg; 16 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a twin daughter, Donna K. Schriever; and one sister, Norma Hill.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hancock Ward. Bishop Gerald Hendershot will officiate. Burial will be in Jerusalem Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock. The funeral home will be open Tuesday at 3 p.m.
