Born Jan. 5, 1924, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Rose Jachimiak Konop.
Her husband, Dale L. Ressler, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died July 9, 1985.
She was a homemaker and had been employed with the National Security Agency in Greenbelt, Md.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Hancock.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Lovell of Warfordsburg; two sons, Robert Ressler of Berryville, Va., and William Ressler of Clements, Md.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Raczak and Stella Levay; three brothers, Stanley Konop, Edward Konop and Walter Konop; and one granddaughter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Hancock Monday at 11 a.m. The Rev. George W. Glick will be celebrant. Burial will be in the church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St. in Hancock, which will be open from 3 to 9 p.m. for the convenience of friends. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Oliver E. DeShong
HUSTONTOWN, Pa. - Oliver E. DeShong, 68, of North Clear Ridge Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at James F. Van Zandt Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Altoona, Pa.
Born April 24, 1931, in Big Cove Tannery, Pa., he was the son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Everetts DeShong.
He retired from the U.S. Army after serving from 1952 to 1973. After his military service, he was employed by General Electric in Baltimore.
He had attended Antioch Christian Church in Big Cove Tannery.
He is survived by his second wife, Bertha Millie Gulick DeShong, whom he married
Sept. 24, 1982; four children, Patrick Oliver DeShong of Laurel, Md., Barbara Gail Pardoe of Lithicum, Md., Robert Ellsworth DeShong of Ferndale, Md., and Roger Lee DeShong of Elkridge City, Md.; three stepchildren, Edith May Ward of White Oak, Texas, Daniel Merl Smith of Waterfall, Pa., and Alicia Marie Smith at home; four sisters, Virginia Carbaugh of Chambersburg, Pa., Pearl Culley of Pittsburgh, and Mary DeShong and Olive DeShong, both of Big Cove Tannery; 11 grandchildren; and his former wife, Marilla Cole DeShong.
A service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, in Hustontown. Pastor George Clippinger will officiate. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Big Cove Tannery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Billie D. Goodwin
SUTHERLAND SPRINGS, Texas - Billie Dean Goodwin, 66, of Sutherland Springs, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
Born Aug. 8, 1933, in Stockdale, Texas, she was the daughter of John Henry and Billie Johnson McBride.
She was a mail processing supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service.
She was a member of Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Wilbur Gene Goodwin, whom she married
July 28, 1979; two daughters, Kimberly of Tellico Plains, Tenn., and Patricia Wingert of Greencastle, Pa.; two sons, Andy Witt of LaVernia, Texas, and Craig Goodwin of Gainsville, Texas; a sister, Bettye Dahmer of San Antonio; a brother, David McBride of Victoria, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Goodwin.
Services will be today at 10 a.m. at Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale. Clinton McGuffin will officiate. Burial will be in Epperson Cemetery in Tellico Plains.

William R. Johnson
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - William R. "Big Red" Johnson, 66, of 6391 Duffield Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born June 29, 1933, in Pembrook, Ky., he was the son of Mildred H. Cannon Johnson of Pleasantville, Tenn., and the late John Johnson.
He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg. He then was self-employed.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of George Washington Lodge No. 143 F&AM, Chambersburg; Harrisburg Consistory; Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion and Hume-McNeil-Byers AMVETS Post 224, both of Chambersburg; and volunteered with Chambersburg Toy Mission.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Shirley Wright Johnson, whom he married
Feb. 4, 1956; two daughters, Diane F. Wright and Donna J. Knepper, both of Chambersburg; two sons, Robert D. Johnson and William R. Johnson, both of Chambersburg; two sisters, Marie of Mississippi and Betty Lou of Pleasantview; two brothers, John Johnson of Kentucky and Edward Johnson of Clarksville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.
Service will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Menno Sollenberger will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, with an 8 p.m. Masonic Service, George Washington Lodge 143 F&AM.

Kerry A. Null
WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Kerry A. He was last employed by Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He volunteered in the library at Clarence M. Gockley Elementary School in Whitehall, and coached the Diamond team in the Tri-Boro Soccer League.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of nine years, Lee-Anne Whittaker Null; one son, Andrew M. Null, at home; one sister, Kim Repac of Cumberland; two brothers, Kevin G. Null of New Windsor, Md., and Kraig R. Null of Philadelphia; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton streets, Allentown, Pa.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.
She was a member of Falling Spring Chapter No. 2840, AARP; and Martha Custis Order of the Eastern Star in Chambersburg.
She is survived by twin sons, Benjamin F. Goodyear of Chambersburg and William Goodyear of Florida; two sisters, Hazel Murray of Doylesburg, Pa., and Treva Gabler of Chambersburg; two brothers, Wayne F. Craig of Orrstown, Pa., and Camp M. Craig of Stevens, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister; and a granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 W. Commerce St. in Chambersburg. The Rev. Neal O. Hively will officiate.
Burial will be private.
There will be no viewing.
