Born May 6, 1912, in Claylick, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Mary Culler Smith.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carrie I. Lohman Smith, in 1984. They were married
in September 1931. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Mary E. Cline Smith, in September 1999. They were married
Dec. 23, 1989.
He worked for Landis Machine Co. in Waynesboro, retiring as a foreman in 1978.
He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Waynesboro.
He was a member of South Chapter No. 2977 AARP; and National AARP.
He is survived by three daughters, Mary Belle Williams of Martinsburg, W.Va., Margaret A. McPherson of Hagerstown and D. Jean Smith of Waynesboro; five stepdaughters, I. Jean Foose of Waynesboro, Margie O. Bonebrake of Fayetteville, Pa., Fay A. Shaffer, Bonnie K. Hoffman and Donna L. Baer, all of Waynesboro; a stepson, Russell C. Weikert of Waynesboro; two brothers, Percy Smith of Putnam, Conn., and Jesse C. Smith of Smithsburg; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; step-great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary E. Smith and Joanna H. Parker; and three infant brothers, Marvin Smith, John Smith and William Smith.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church, Waynesboro. Pastors Dwan N. Newsome and Walter A. Stuart will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Friday at 10 a.m. at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Assembly of God Church Building Fund, 116 Snider Ave., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
David L. Gregory

Born Oct. 18, 1903, in Thompson Township, Pa., he was the son of the late David and Rhoda Pittman Gregory.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Estalene M. Wink Gregory, in 1989.
He retired as a salesman for Hoffman Chevrolet in Hancock; He farmed in Big Cove Tannery.
He was a member of Damascus Christian Church in Big Cove Tannery.
He was a member of Elks Lodge of Bedford, Pa.; and Warfordsburg Lions Club.
He is survived by three nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Zimmerman and Hattie Fisher; three brothers, Thomas Gregory, Blair Gregory and Harvey Gregory; and a nephew.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Damascus Christian Church. The Rev. Loy Garber will officiate. Burial will be in Damascus Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock; and Saturday at 10 a.m. at the church. The funeral home will be open Friday from noon.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Damascus Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 374, Hancock, MD 21750.
Ralph H. Flood Sr.
BLAIRS MILLS, Pa. - Ralph H. Born July 27, 1909, in Mount Union, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles and Maude Kent Flood.
He was a self-employed farmer.
He was a Protestant.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora H. Hampton Flood, whom he married
Sept. 25, 1948; one daughter, Marcie Abrashoff of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one son, Ralph H. Flood Jr. of Blairs Mills; one sister, Evelyn Reisinger of Loysville, Pa.; one brother, Glenn D. Flood of Blairs Mills; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at John L. Agett Funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run, Pa. The Rev. Rick Eminhizer will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Huntingdon County, Pa.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday at 9 a.m.
James E. Kauffman
ZULLINGER, Pa. - James E. Born Sept. 7, 1957, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of Nellie G. Carbaugh Kauffman of Greencastle and Charles J. Kauffman of St. Thomas, Pa.
He was employed at Chaparral Tavern in Quincy, Pa., as a bartender; and worked on the Harvey Mellott Farm of Mercersburg, Pa.
He was a member of Sons of The Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post 373 of Greencastle.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Janet M. Weyant of Chambersburg and Patricia Ann Carmack of Mercersburg; two brothers, Roger L. Kauffman of Chambersburg and Charles W. Kauffman of Greencastle; maternal grandmother, Amelia Carbaugh of Delaware; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Bartholow.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. Walter G. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
David R. Nelson

He was a member of Red Lion V.F.W. Post 1446; American Legion Post 543; Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 148; and Fraternal Order of Eagles 183; and Dallastown American Legion Post 605.
He is survived by two sisters, Ruby Breckenridge of Montgomery, Ala., and Faye Bender of Martinsburg; and one brother, Denver Nelson of Elkins.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Lynn Kohr; and one son, David R. Nelson Jr.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Red Lion. The Rev. David G. Bottrell will officiate. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York County, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.

She was employed at the former Waynesboro Knitting Mill for 53 years.
She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greencastle, Pa., for 73 years.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Corinne Beaver, Mary Louise Kershener and Elva Martin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. Martin H. Horn will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
