DOYLESBURG, Pa. - Harvey E. "Pete" Yocum Sr., 58, of 23202 Big Spring Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born April 21, 1941, in Doylesburg, he was the son of Edna M. Parson Yocum of Willow Hill, Pa., and the late Edward S. Yocum.
He retired in 1996 from D.C. Pattern and Tooling, Chambersburg, as a truck driver after eight years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Betty M. Hockenberry Yocum, whom he married
in 1960; one daughter, Pamela K. Eshelman of Shippensburg, Pa.; two sons, Harvey E. Yocum Jr. of Blain, Pa., and Wayne A. Yocum of Fayetteville, Pa.; five sisters, Hazel J. Sears of Greenvillage, Pa., Louise L. Neil of Mountain Green, Pa., Thelma J. Hockenberry of Doylesburg, Patricia A. Foreman of Fannettsburg, Pa., and Sue M. Geyer of Chambersburg; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Troy L. Yocum; and a brother, Carl E. Yocum.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at John L. Agett Funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run, Pa. The Rev. Marlin Neil will officiate. Burial will be in Doylesburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Charles K. Stouffer
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Charles K. "Charlie" Stouffer, 74, of Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at his home.
Born May 18, 1925 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late G.A.W. Jr. and Mary Keeny Stouffer.
He was a graduate of Gettysburg College.
He was manager and then owner of Palmer's on the square
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a Protestant.
He is survived by two daughters, Diane Thomas of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Karen McKendrick of Waynesboro, Pa.; one son, James Stouffer Sr. of Chambersburg; two brothers, twin Raymond Stouffer of Pittsburgh and George Stouffer Jr. of Charlottesville, Va.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Norland Cemetery. The Rev. Art Neal will officiate.
There will be no viewing.

Mary Anna Moore
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Mary Anna Moore, 92, a resident of Michaux Manor, 11302 South Mountain Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born Nov. 8, 1906, in Uniontown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Lewis Jacob and Debbie Hewitt Hamburg Moore.
She was a 1924 graduate of Smithsburg High School. She attended Waynesboro Business School and graduated in 1926. She attended Corcoran School for Art while living in Washington, D.C., from 1941 to 1944. She received numerous certificates for continuing education in art attending Hagerstown Community College while in her 80s.
She worked for Geiser Manufacturing in Waynesboro as a secretary and bookkeeper. She then worked for a loan company in Baltimore. She also worked for various government agencies. She moved to Washington, D.C., in 1940 during World War II and worked for the Navy Department. Her last employment was at Fort Ritchie from 1955 until her retirement in 1966.
She was a member of numerous art clubs including Waynesboro Studio Club. She received numerous awards and certificates for her portraits. While attending Corcoran School of Art, she received honorable mention in the Lehey Class.
She is survived by one brother, Frank O. Moore, Sr. of Cascade and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Elinor Reed Dubner and one brother, Fred Lewis Moore.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Germantown Church of God, 16924 Raven Rock Road, Cascade. The Rev. Paul Tobias will officiate.

Reed H. Carbaugh
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Reed H. Carbaugh, 79, of 3051 Sportsmen Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Falling Springs Nursing Home, Chambersburg.
Born Jan. 1, 1920, near McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph Jacob Phillip and Minnie Flora Giffen Carbaugh.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary June Weller Carbaugh, whom he married

He attended Webster Mills School.

He was a charter member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1790, Mercersburg, a life member of Greencastle Sportsmen Association and a member of National A.A.R.P.
He is survived by his second wife, E. Marie Haley Carbaugh, whom he married
in 1983; one daughter, Delores J. Shindle of Greencastle; one son, Joseph B. Carbaugh of Greencastle; three stepdaughters, Patricia M. Rutledge of Greencastle, Judy L. Arterburn of Mt. Airy, Md., and Cathy L. Fisher of Haymarket, Va.; one brother, Kenneth Carbaugh of Chambersburg, Pa.; five grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Olive Shope and Mable Giffen and one brother, Marshall Carbaugh.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Miller/Grove Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle. The Rev. Donald Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Shurley B. True

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II.
He was of Protestant faith.
He was a life member of VFW Post 655, McConnellsburg.
He is survived by five daughters, Frances Sebring, of Sodus, N.Y., Judy Russell and Melinda Shaw, both of Needmore, Alice Smith of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Cheryl Grossnickle of Smithsburg; four sons, Carl True of Sodus, Donnie True of Warfordsburg, Pa., John True of Hancock and Hollis True of Big Cove, Tannery, Pa.; one sister, Cora Culp of Hancock; three brothers, Hubert True of Baltimore, Herman True of Big Cove, and Kelly True of Cumberland, Md.; 34 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parent and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen DeLancey and three brothers, Charles True, Hollis True and Floyd True.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock. The Rev. Delmas Bard will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Fulton Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. For the convenience of friends the funeral home will be open Tuesday from 1 to 9 p.m.
