Born Sept. 30, 1929, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Harry and Mable Irene Jett Fiddesop.

He was a steam fitter, and a member of Steamfitters Local 602 in Washington. He was a retired Brentwood, Md., police officer and a former deputy sheriff in Prince George's County, Md.
He was an M.P. in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was past chief and member of Hyattsville (Md.) Volunteer Fire Co.; a member of St. Thomas Volunteer Fire Co.; Friendship Hose Co. in Chambersburg; Dietrich-Brechbill American Legion Post 612 in St. Thomas; St. Thomas Fire Police; Franklin County and Pennsylvania Fire Police associations; St. Columbia Lodge 150, La Plata, Md.; Tall Cedars Lebanon-Prince George's Forest 139; Landis McCleaf Marine Corps League, Chambersburg; AMVETS Post 224, Chambersburg; and served as an E.M.T. for 30 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Schmidt of Baltimore, and Theresa Lyn Anderson of South Bend, Ind.; one son, Harry J. Fiddesop Jr. of St. Thomas; and four grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 6492 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas. The Rev. Donald Nolder will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, with military services by Dietrich-Brechbill American Legion Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and at 10 a.m. Friday. The funeral home will be open from 2 p.m. Thursday. George Washington Lodge will conduct a memorial service Thursday at 8:45 p.m.

Chalmer C. Hann
NEEDMORE, Pa. - Chalmer Chester Hann, 62, of HCR 80, Box 79, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Sept. 13, 1999, at his home.
Born Dec. 3, 1936, he was the son of the late William Ellis and Mary Shaw Hann.
He retired in 1997 from PennDot as a machine operator.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Needmore, McConnellsburg, Pa., and Hustontown, Pa., volunteer fire companies; was a lieutenant in Needmore Fire Police; a member of Cumberland Valley Firemen's Association; Franklin/Fulton Firemen's Association;, American Legion Post 561; Mt. Zion Lodge 774, Harrisburg Consistory; Pennsylvania Fire Police Association; Berkeley Springs (W.Va.) Chapter 77 Order of Eastern Star, and Warfordsburg (Pa.) 100F, AFSCME Retiree Chapter 13.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lyda Harr Hann; three daughters, Linda Lou Lane of McConnellsburg, Donna Sue Carbaugh and Karen Marie Kelly, both of Needmore; one son, Michael C. Hann of Needmore; two brothers, William R. Hann of Mercersburg, Pa., and Donald E. Hann of McConnellsburg; and four grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St., McConnellsburg. Keith D. Clugston will officiate. Fulton County Honor Guard will conduct a military service. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Needmore.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 2 p.m. The Masons will conduct a service Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.
Mark A. Randall Sr.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mark Anthony Randall Sr., 35, of South Third Street, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Oct. 29, 1963, in Atlantic City, N.J., he was the son of Alice Marlene Yingling Randall Hedge of Upper Strasburg, Pa., and the late LeRoy H. Randall.
He worked as a delivery man for Domino's Pizza of Chambersburg. He had been employed by Manahan's Taxi in Chambersburg.
He attended United Methodist Church in Chambersburg.
He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 842 in Chambersburg.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Harry J. Hedge Sr. of Upper Strasburg; his wife, Glenda Phillips Randall, whom he married
May 2, 1992; four children, Crystal Randall, Mark Randall Jr., Tiffany Randall and BethAnn Randall, all at home; two sisters, Pamela L. Randall and Nina M. Randall Hitchner, both of Elmer, N.Y.; four brothers, Michael H. Randall of Chambersburg, Patrick L. Randall of Bridgeton, N.J., Timothy E. Randall of Gardnerville, N.J., and Jeffrey Randall of Las Vegas; two stepsisters, Brenda K. Shearer of Orrstown, Pa., and Amber N. Foltz of Upper Strasburg; and two stepbrothers, Harry J. Hedge Jr. of Upper Strasburg and Gary L. Hedge of Leesburg, Pa.
He was preceded in death by two infant brothers.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Hustontown, Pa. The Rev. Robert L. Mentzer will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Donald F. Waters

Born Nov. 10, 1932, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Francis and Lucy Beaner Waters.
He was a 1952 graduate of Chambersburg High School. He attended the University of Pittsburgh; Shippensburg University; and Penn State Mont Alto.
He worked at Cumberland Valley Jobs Center in Chambersburg as an employer relations representative for 23 years, retiring in 1995. He previously worked for T.B. Woods and Potomac Edison Co.
He was a member of John Wesley AME Zion Church; was president of the Lay Council; a trustee; Sunday school superintendent and a stewart.
At Chambersburg High School, he played football, basketball, baseball and ran track. He won the football scoring crown and was named to All Conference in 1949 and 1950. He was the captain of the basketball team from 1950-1951.
He was president of Chambersburg Community Improvement Association; a member of NAACP; Chambersburg Rotary Club and was Rotarian of the Year in 1998; a member of Operation Concern; Franklin County Prison Ministry; Chambersburg Development Corp.; Chambersburg Downtown Inc.; Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce; Leadership Chambersburg; Keystone Health Center Board; Alliance for the Capital Theater in Chambersburg; Shippensburg University Multicultural Student Affairs Advisory Board; Franklin County Vocational School Advisory Board; Chambersburg Borough Planning and Zoning Committee; a member and secretary of the local Civil Service Commission.
He was a member of Cumberland Valley School of Music; United Churches of Chambersburg; Chambersburg Youth Soccer Association; Keystone Farmworkers Health Committee; Unity Coalition in Chambersburg; Advisory Committee of Letterkenny Army Depot; president of Lebanon/Mount Vernon Cemetery Association in Chambersburg; member and past master of Letort Star Lodge No. 18 F & AM of Carlisle, Pa.; former Illustrious commander-in-chief, Nimrod Consistory No. 9 Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Harrisburg, Pa.; a member of the Commanders of the Rite, with a 33rd degree in free masonry; a member of Himyar Temple No. 17, Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine of Harrisburg.
He was Right Worshipful Grand Trustee of the Central of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania; was inducted into the South Central Pennsylvania Hall of Fame in 1986; and was Grand Trustee for the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve "Genny" McGill Waters, whom he married
Dec. 29, 1952; three daughters, Kathleen B. Waters-Reed of Woodbridge, Va., Lisa C. Waters of Harrisburg, Pa., and Michelle Lovett of Shippensburg; four sons, Michael L. Rideout and W. Donald Waters, both of Chambersburg, Dwight F. Shaffer of Jersey City, N.J., and Stephen D. Waters of Atlanta; two brothers, Lawrence Beaner of Elmira, N.Y, . and Herbert Waters of Queens, N.Y.; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Perry Medley will officiate. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Edwin G. Brown
SHREVEPORT, La. - Dr. Edwin Geyer Brown, 62, of 8709 Glenhaven Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, in Leake County, Miss., as a result of a private plane crash.
Born June 8, 1937, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of Averil Geyer Brown of Chambersburg and the late Herbert L. Brown.
He was a 1955 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He attended Dickinson College, received his A.B. from Haverford College and graduated from Temple University Medical School in 1963.
From 1971 to 1974, he was assistant professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital; was professor of Pediatrics Clinical, and attending physician at Mount Sinai School of Medicine of the City University of New York; and was professor of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and director of Newborn Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was attending physician and director of Pediatric Rehabilitation Services at Summit Hospital in Bossier City, La. Since 1990, he was professor of Pediatrics and attending physician at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport.
His memberships include, American Chemical Society; New York Pediatric Society; Society of Pediatric Research; New York Academy of Medicine; New York Academy of Sciences; Fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics; Sigma XI and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.
He wrote publications on Pediatrics.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Eugenia Sarrett Brown; two daughters, Megan Layng of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Katy Weston of Hartsdale, N.Y.; two sons, Scott Brown of Pelham, N.Y., and Eric Brown of Hartsdale; two stepsons, Tommy Morrison of Hammond, La., and William Morrison of Fredericksburg, Va.; a sister, Mary Ann Copp of Ridgewood, N.J.; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Stephen W. Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
