CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Kathryn E. Cosey, 92, of ManorCare Health Services, and formerly of McKinley Street, and United Towers in Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at ManorCare Health Services.

Born Oct. 14, 1906, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George W. and Florence Myers Mosser.

Her husband, Daniel W. Cosey, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1989.

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

She was a seamstress for Stanley Co. in Chambersburg for 20 years. During World War II, she worked at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg.

She was a member of King Street United Brethren Church.

She is survived by one son, John R. Cosey of Hummelstown, Pa.; one sister, Genevieve Sprenkle of Hagerstown; four grandsons, Barry K. Cosey of Harrisburg, Pa., Richard A. Cosey of Yuma, Ariz., Bradley J. Cosey and Craig R. Cosey, both of Hummelstown; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Chaplain Kenneth Wenger will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

John G. Myers

FAIRFIELD, Pa. - John Grove Myers, 54, of 2375 Waynesboro Pike, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born Feb. 9, 1945, in Charles Town, W.Va., he was the son of the late Daniel F. and Leta May Grove Myers.

He was a graduate of Shenandoah Academy in Virginia.

He owned and operated his own truck, contracting with Evan's Delivery in Pottstown, Pa.

A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam War as a medic at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C.

He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Beartown, Pa.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Monroe Myers, whom he married June 15, 1985; two daughters, Lorie R. Myers of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., and Jaime L. Myers of Fairfield; three sisters, Pauline Winland of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Mary Luttrell of Kearneysville, W.Va., and Sarah Atkins of New Market, Va.; one brother, Arthur Myers of Tennessee; one grandson; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Myers, in 1977.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church, 13318 Mentzer Gap Road, Waynesboro. The Rev. Daphne S. Killhour will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Beartown, with military services by Charles M. Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 of Chambersburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Jeannette B. Child

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Jeannette B. Child, 90, of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of 270 S. Main St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at the nursing center.

Born April 24, 1909, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Jenny Bitner Bailey.

She was a legal secretary.

At her request there will be no service. Private burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Naomi L. Eyler

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Naomi Lamar Diffendarfer Eyler, 95, of 960 Park St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at Quincy United Methodist Home.

Born May 18, 1904, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Motter James and Edna Elizabeth Kennell Diffendarfer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Carl Eyler, in 1983. They were married in 1929

She was a 1924 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School.

She worked for Hockensmiths Electric Shop as a bookkeeper for 22 years.

She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro.

She is survived by one niece, Louis Shubb of Glenside, Pa.

Graveside services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Richard Seaks will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Visitation will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43 S. Church St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Arrangements are by Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Glenn L. Miller

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Glenn L. Miller, 85, of 2773 Esther Circle, and formerly of Shippensburg, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at Menno-Haven in Chambersburg.

Born Jan. 24, 1914, in Shippensburg, he was the son of the late Walter C. and Florence Pryor Miller.

He was a 1936 graduate of Shippensburg University.

He was president and co-owner of Miller-Reed Dairy in Shippensburg, which he operated from 1939 until his retirement in 1976.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Shippensburg Presbyterian Church; and a former member of the Memorial Lutheran Church choir.

He was a member of Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post No. 223; Durff-Kuhn VFW Post No. 6168; Cumberland Valley Lodge No. 315 Free and Accepted Masons; Shippensburg Scottish Rite Club; Harrisburg Consistory; Valley Forest No. 145 Tall Cedars of Leanon; Hub City Club; and Fort Morris Chapter No. 3324 AARP. He was past president of Shippensburg Lions Club; former president of Shippensburg Borough Council; former board member of Shippensburg Area Recreation and Parks Department; Shippensburg Public Library; and Shippensburg Industrial Board; and a former member of Shippensburg-Area Chamber of Commerce. He was a board member of Peoples National Bank and Shippensburg Advisory Board of Dauphin Bank.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel I. Currens Miller; two sons, Dr. Michael R. Miller of Morgantown, W.Va., and Walter C. Miller of Camp Hill, Pa.; a sister, Ruth M. Leigh of Bricktown, N.J.; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Presbyterian Church in Shippensburg. The Rev. John C. Berstecher will officiate.

Burial will be private in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. and after the services at the church.
