Nelson L. Wilson

NEW OXFORD, Pa. - Nelson L. Wilson, 93, a resident of Brethren Home, and formerly of Franklin County, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at Brethren Home.

Born April 15, 1906, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Jeremiah D. and Laura Garling Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Iva Hager Wilson, in 1989.

He worked as a truck farmer, store clerk and church sexton.

He was a life member of Upton Church of the Brethren, where he had served as deacon, Sunday School teacher and song leader. More recently, he was affiliated with Church of the Brethren Faith Community at the Brethren Home.

He is survived by his second wife, Mary H. Sealover Wilson, a resident of Brethren Home; a daughter, Vesta W. Statler of Dallastown, Pa.; a stepson, Francis Sealover of Hanover, Pa.; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Orval J. Wilson.

Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Upton Church of the Brethren, 8490 Warm Spring Road, near Upton, Pa. The Rev. Garnet Myers and the Rev. Duane Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Meeting House of the Brethren Home in New Oxford. Pastor Warren M. Eshbach and Pastor Betty A. Malenke will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Brethren Home Foundation, Good Samaritan Fund, P.O. Box 128, New Oxford, PA 17350.

Arrangements are by Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home in Greencastle, Pa.

John R. Stouffer

MANNS CHOICE, Pa. - John Robert "Bob" Stouffer, 86, of Allegheny Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at his home.

Born Dec. 29, 1912, in Buffalo Mills, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry and Orie Shoemaker Stouffer.

He drove several million miles during his career as a driver for Greyhound Bus.

He was a member of Buffalo Mills Methodist Church.

He was a member of Danville Moose Lodge; Bard Hollow Sportsman Club; and Amalgamated Union of Greyhound Drivers.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Ona Holler Casteel Stouffer; three stepsons, Glenden Casteel of Manns Choice and Albuquerque, N.M., Terry Casteel of Irwin, Pa. and Lynn Casteel of Buffalo, N.Y.; a brother, Walter Adams of Atlanta; an aunt; four step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; seven nieces; two nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by four sisters; a brother; and two nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Dry Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home in Hyndman, Pa.; and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church.

Twanna K. Frank

CLEARVILLE, Pa. - Twanna Kay Chamberlain Frank, 48, of 3299 Ragged Mountain Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at her home.

Born Nov. 20, 1950, in Waynesboro, Pa. she was the daughter of H. Mel Chamberlain of Summerville, S.C., and Fay Bell Palmer Chamberlain of Hagerstown.

She was a 1969 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. She then earned a degree in cosmetology from Martinsburg School of Cosmetology in Martinsburg, W.Va.

She was employed as a beautician in Waynesboro for a number of years.

She enjoyed working with crafts and working around her home and farm.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Bernard Francis Frank, whom she married Jan. 6, 1984; her stepmother, Judith Chamberlain of Summerville; a son, Adam M. Betts of Hampstead, Md.; a stepdaughter, Jennifer A. Frank of Albany, N.Y.; two stepsons, Bernard F. Frank of Pasadena, Calif. and James A. Frank of Virginia Beach, Va.; a stepgrandson; and a sister, Connie Webb of Ellicott City, Md.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor Gerald Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.

It was her request to have no public viewing; however, the family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Dolores M. Duke

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Dolores M. Duke, 67, of 265 Martin Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Sept. 3, 1931, in Fayetteville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late James and Elva M. Lippy Jamison.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.

She was a member of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Chambersburg.

She is survived by her husband, William H. Duke, whom she married July 25, 1953; one son, William C. Duke of Chambersburg; one sister, Isabelle Crawford of Baltimore; three brothers, James L. Jamison Jr. and Donald Jamison, both of Fayetteville, and Paul Jamison of Mont Alto, Pa.; and one grandson, Craig W. Duke, who resided with the Dukes.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Neal O. Hively will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg.

Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, Franklin/Fulton Division, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Bertha A. Webber

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Bertha A. Webber, 101, of 4460 Percy Ave., and formerly of 2761 Warm Spring Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Dec. 13, 1897, in New Franklin, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John A. and LouVinia Little Danzberger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Archie" Webber, in 1981.

She was a seamstress at Stanley Co.

She was a member of St. James United Brethren Church, Chambersburg.

She was a member and had been secretary of American Legion Post No. 612; Womens Auxiliary of DAV; and WW1 Auxiliary.

She is survived by a daughter, Gladys Flinchmun of Pomona Park, Fla.; six grandchildren, including Darlene McKelvey of Chambersburg, Sue Linstead of Saudia Arabia, Jim Shetler of Gettysburg, Pa., and Dave Shetler of Orrstown, Pa., all of whom she raised; 21 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Hamil; two brothers, Benjamin Danzberger and Jim Danzberger; and a granddaughter, Linda Angle, whom she raised.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. James United Brethren Church, 2404 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Revs. Mike Rockwell, Aldus Lehman and and Robert Mentzer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in St. Thomas, Pa.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg; and Saturday at 1 p.m. at the church. The funeral home will be open today from 2 p.m.
