FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Richard P. Kramer, 66, of 181 Anthony Highway, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at his home.
Born April 13, 1933, in Fayetteville, he was the son of Elsie Noll Kibler of Fayetteville and the late Paul E. Kramer.
He was a Greene Township supervisor for 19 1/2 years.
He was a member of Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Co. in Fayetteville; South Mountain (Pa.) Fish and Game Club; and Marine Corps League in Chambersburg, Pa.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. Gearhart Kramer, whom he married
July 3, 1950; one son, Richard P. Kramer of Fayetteville; three sisters, June Kauffman and Judy Caudle, both of Berryville, Pa., and Doris Thomas of Fayetteville; one brother, Donald R. Kramer of Fayetteville; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daryl L. Kramer.
Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m., and Friday at 10:30 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Chester Peterson
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Chester Peterson, 95, of Menno Haven, and formerly of Washington, D.C., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born April 22, 1904, in Dorchester, Mass., he was the son of the late Albin and Selma Bjork Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Theodora Cowen, in 1990.
He was a 1926 graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering.
He was a teaching assistant in the Electrical Department at M.I.T.; then worked for National Bureau of Standards, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Naval Engineering Experimenting Station in Annapolis; and H.A. Wilson Co. in Newark, N.J. He then returned to the National Bureau of Standards, working in the fields of electrical engineering, physics and metallurgy, retiring in 1971.
He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.
He was a member of Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring, Chambersburg.
He is survived by two daughters, Karin Messina of Sharon, Mass., and Kerstin Roberts of Ottawa, Kan.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, and one brother.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Sanctuary of Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring. The Rev. William H. Harter will officiate. Family inurnment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain, Mass., on Saturday.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Chapel in the Sanctuary.
Memorial donations may be made to Benevolent Fund c/o Menno Haven Inc., 2075 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring, 221 N. Main St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Warren J. Mitchell

Born Feb. 15, 1929, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Thaddeus and Zura Leonard Mitchell.

He was employed by James River Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Navy.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of Waynesboro V.F.W. and Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion.
He is survived by two sons, Douglas L. Mitchell of Fort Loudon, Pa., and Dennis W. Mitchell of Chambersburg; one sister, Rachel Green of Waynesboro; three brothers, Robert Mitchell of Waynesboro, Charles Mitchell of Hillsdale, Mich., and Edward Mitchell of Maryland; and three grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Harold Yeager will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, with military honors by Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 V.F.W.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society in the names of Zaza B. or Warren J. Mitchell, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Barbara K. Unger

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Terry L. Gift.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. James United Brethren Church in Chambersburg.
She was a member of Hume-McNeil-Byers AMVETS Post 224 Ladies Auxiliary, Chambersburg.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, David P. Unger, whom she married
in 1982; two daughters, Jacqueline R. Wilson of Moore, S.C., and Gina M. Loose of Fannettsburg, Pa.; one son, Robert L. Gift of Chambersburg; one sister, Rosaline Sellers of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. James United Brethren Church, 2398 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Mike Rockwell will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Lewis A. Ramsey

Born Dec. 15, 1953, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of Donald and Edna Chilcote Ramsey. His mother is of Clear Ridge Road, Hustontown, Pa.
He worked on highway construction, most recently in the Johnstown, Pa., area.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Carpenters Union Local 2274, Pittsburgh, American Legion Post 561, McConnellsburg, and a life member of the North American Hunting Club.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his wife, Lindell Hunter Ramsey of McConnellsburg; two daughters, Angela Ramsey of McConnellsburg and Tiffany Harr of Chambersburg; one stepson, Jeff Mellott of McConnellsburg; one stepdaughter, Jackie Clevenger of McConnellsburg; two brothers, Robert Ramsey and Paul Ramsey, both of Hustontown; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Hustontown Church of God, Clear Ridge Road, Hustontown. The Rev. John Warner will officiate. Burial will be in Hustontown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, and at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to the services.
