Born Nov. 25, 1914, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ervin E. and Mary Ellen Welty Newcomer.
She was a homemaker. Before she was married
, she worked for Stanley Manufacturing Company.
She was a member of Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, Five Forks.
She was a member of AARP National and South Chapter.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy M. Baylor of Chambersburg; three sisters, Marguerite Jane Frye of Ligonier, Pa., Ann Leal of Hanford, Calif., and Frances Betts of Waynesboro; three brothers, Martin Newcomer, James Newcome and Roy Newcomer, all of Waynesboro; and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Ohler; and a brother, Emory Newcomer.
Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Greencastle, Pa. The Revs. Wilbur Besecker and Arnold Wagaman will officiate.
There will be no public viewing or visitation.
Memorial donations may be made to Falling Springs Rehabilitation Center, 201 Falling Springs Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Arrangements are by Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
Adam H. Hege
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Adam H. Hege, 66, of 6628 Angle Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Oct. 28, 1932, in Maugansville, he was the son of the late Amos and Amanda Horst Hege.
He attended Maugansville School in Maugansville.
He was a lifelong farmer and was co-owner of Brown's Mills Poultry Farm near Chambersburg. He also was employed as a record keeper, carpenter, school bus driver and a salesman.
He was a member of Antrim Brethren in Christ Church near Chambersburg. He also served as a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School superintendent, youth adviser for the church youth and served as church trustee.
He was actively involved in the Gideons, House of Hunger, and Mennonite Disaster Service and was president of the Board for Brotherhood of Concerns.
He is survived by his wife, Violet M. Martin Hege, whom he married
Aug. 9, 1952; three daughters, Mary Ellen Sommerfield of Marion, Pa., Judy Stayman of Chambersburg and Connie Poppenwimer of England; a sister, Emma Hege Martin of Waynesboro, Pa.; a twin brother, Amos Horst Hege of Greencastle, Pa.; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; seven brothers; and two nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 E. Kauffman Road, Chambersburg. Pastor Ky R. Searcy and Dr. John Arthur Byers will officiate. Burial will be in Brown's Mill Cemetery, Kauffman, Pa.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle; and Tuesday one hour before the services at the church. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Monday after 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brethren in Christ World Missions; Mennonite Disaster Services; or Cooperative Ministries, all in c/o Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 E. Kauffman Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Born Dec. 20, 1924, in Bellewood, Pa., he was the son of the late William and Charlotte Alsop Zimmerman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marybelle Biesecker Peters Zimmerman, on June 17, 1999.
He was a supervisor at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, retiring in 1979 after 32 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Chambersburg.
He is survived by a brother, Daniel J. Zimmerman of Hollywood, Fla., two stepdaughters, Gloria Lehman and Nancy Averill, both of Chambersburg; a stepson, Herbert M. Peters of Chambersburg; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucinda Miller.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. A. Robert Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 24 of Huntington, Pa.; a lifetime member of Hustontown Area Fire Co.; and a member of Fulton Saddle Club.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha L. Brown Kesselring, whom he married
Sept. 15, 1943; four daughters, Thelma Wright of Boiling Springs, Pa., Wanda DeShong of Collegeville, Pa., Doris Leach of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Debra Mitchell of Dover, Pa.; a son, Glenn N. Kesselring of Middletown, Pa.; two sisters, Grace Grissinger of Hustontown and Shirley Yingling of McConnellsburg; two brothers, Banks Kesselring of St. Thomas, Pa., and Harry Kesselring of Elmira, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Sipes Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Pa. Pastor Donald Bard will officiate. Burial will be in Center United Methodist Cemetery in Hustontown, with graveside military services by Fulton Honor Guard.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
