MONT ALTO, Pa. - Kathryn M. Frampton Shockey, 76, of 10 Constitution Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at the home of her daughter, with whom she had been living.
Born May 12, 1923, in Mont Alto, she was the daughter of the late Samuel R. and Pansye M. Heefner Frampton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Arthur Shockey, in 1994. They were married
in 1956.
She graduated from Quincy High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Mont Alto.
She was a member and treasurer of Mont Alto Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary; and a member of National AARP.
She is survived by one daughter, Sally G. Parr of South Mountain, Pa.; one son, James E. Shockey of Mont Alto; three granddaughters, Emmy L. Kauffman of Fayetteville, Pa., Megan L. Kauffman and Abbie M. Parr, both of South Mountain; and one stepgrandson, Seth E. Parr of South Mountain.
She was preceded in death by a son, Harry David Shockey.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, Pa. The Rev. David L. Keener will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematorium, Waynesboro.
Raymond E. Plumb
FORT LOUDON, Pa. - Raymond E. Plumb, 87, of 2197 Path Valley Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at his home.
Born Jan. 10, 1912, in Mitchell, Ind., he was the son of the late John A. and Kate M. Morris Plumb.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zelda I. Collins Plumb, whom he married
in 1958.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a forester for the U.S. Forestry Service. He later worked at Mercersburg Academy on the grounds crew.
He is survived by a stepdaughter, Dorothy L. Johnson of Montpelier, Ohio; a stepson, Ronald N. Harris of Fort Loudon; a sister, Ruth Toffan of Duluth, Minn.; five stepgrandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 6492 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas, Pa. The Rev. John Springer will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in McConnellsburg, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Thursday at 9 a.m. The funeral home will be open Wednesday from 2 p.m.
Margaret J. Miller
UNIONTOWN, Pa. - Margaret J. Miller, 81, of Uniontown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born July 22, 1918, in Dunbar, Pa., she was the daughter of the late James F. and Margaret Ellen Maust Adenhart.
She was preceded in death by husband Guy Edward Zong.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.
She is survived by her husband, John D. Miller Sr.; two daughters, Margaret Malin of Hagerstown and Barbara Cross of McKeesport, Pa.; three sons, James Adenhart of Fairplay, Harry Miller of Grosse Isle, Mich., and Charles Zong, at home; a niece whom she raised, Beatrice Provance of Satellite Beach, Fla.; a grandson whom she raised, Robert Kochera of Hagerstown; three stepsons, Donald Zong of MacClenny, Fla., John D. Miller Jr. of Uniontown and David Miller of Jefferson, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Janet Johnson of State College, Pa.; a sister, Martha Boone of Bowie, Md.; 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, five stepgrandchildren and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Emma Maust, Dorothy Mueseler, Florence Stall and Louise Boone; and a brother, James Adenhart.
A prayer service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Thomas M. Dolfi Funeral Home, Uniontown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. William J. Kiel will be celebrant.
Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. A parish wake service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m.
Floyd H. Snider
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Floyd H. Snider, 96, of 640 Stanley Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg.
Born July 5, 1903, in St. Thomas Township, Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Ida Heister Snider.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ryder Snider, in 1989.
He worked for Chambersburg Implement Co.; McCleary Brothers Garage; and Forrester Ford Tractor Sales of Chambersburg as a mechanic for 15 years.
He was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
He is survived by two sisters, Sarah Shatzer of St. Thomas and Margaret Barnes of Chambersburg; five nieces, and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg, Pa. The Revs. Herbert C. Spomer and Charles W. Kampmeyer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Viewing will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Walter K. Nehf

Born Jan. 25, 1911, in Shippensburg, Pa., he was the son of the late William J. and Ida M. Naugle Nehf.
He retired from the maintenance department of Shippensburg University. He formerly managed gas stations in Shippensburg and was a housepainter.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served in World War II.
He was a member of Prince Street United Brethren Church.
He was a member of Shippensburg Golden Age Club and Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168.
He is survived by his wife, Viola N. Thrush Nehf; two daughters, Doris Jean Porecca of Fayetteville, Pa., and Kay F. Carbaugh of Chambersburg; two sons, Donald L. Nehf of Orrstown, Pa., and Larry A. Nehf of Shippensburg; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a son, David W. Nehf; a grandson; a great-grandson; four sisters and four brothers.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. The Rev. Garry L. Culler will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Greene Township, with military services by Shippensburg VFW and American Legion posts.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Savilla E. Yeager
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Savilla E. Yeager, 88, a resident of Menno Haven, and formerly of 170 B. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond I. Yeager.
She retired in 1972 from the former Stanley Company after 26 years of service.
She was a member of Church of the Brethren, Chambersburg.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister. She was the last of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Burial will be in Pleasant View Mennonite Church Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Brethren, 260 South Fourth Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
