Strait, 78, a resident of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of 5907 Sheller Road, Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at the center.
Born Jan. 26, 1921, in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Bessie Long Beltz.
Her husband, Robert E. Strait Sr., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1990.
She was director of housekeeping at Wilson College in Chambersburg for 35 years.
She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Chambersburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Helman and Hazel Strait, both of Chambersburg; two sons, Robert E. Strait Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va., and David F. Strait of Fayetteville, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Bonnie Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be in Grindstone Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday one hour prior to the service.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church Building Fund, 2695 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
David W. Jones
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - David W. Jones, 53, of 372 Elder St., Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Sept. 8, 1945, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late David S. and Clara Trish Jones.
He was a 1964 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
He was formerly employed by Littlestown Hardware and Foundry in Littlestown, Pa., C.A. McGuff of Hanover, Pa., and Eastland Motors, Chambersburg YMCA and R&A Bender, all in Chambersburg. He was last employed by the Public Opinion in Chambersburg.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Chambersburg.
He also was a member of Chambersburg Fire Police Association and was affiliated with Franklin Street Fire Station.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Millar Jones, whom he married
July 30, 1975; a daughter, Patricia S. Jones, at home; a son, Anthony B. Jones, at home; two sisters, Katherine Harmon of MIddletown, Pa., and Patty Mohler of Fayetteville, Pa.; and a brother, Dennis Brown of Chambersburg.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle L. Jones; and Ruth Hinkle and Harry Parks, who raised him.
Services will be held Monday at 8 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Robert E. Taylor will officiate. Private burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery, New Oxford, Pa.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Robert E. Meyer Jr.
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Pfc. Robert E. "Bobby" Meyer Jr., 20, of 137 S. Broad St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, of injuries sustained in a car accident on West Main Street, Waynesboro.
Born March 28, 1979, in Junction City, Kan., he was the son of Robert E. Sr. and Maureen M. St. Clair Meyer of Waynesboro.
He was a 1997 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
He served in the U.S. Army, working in satellite communications.
He was active in the Fort Ritchie Boy Scout Troop, Cascade. He volunteered with the Special Olympics.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Devin Dick of South Mountain, Pa.; maternal grandparents, John and Faye Rhodes Gatrell of Hagerstown; maternal great-grandmother, Ruth Keefer Rhodes of Keedysville; paternal grandparents, Edgar and Dolores Dulac Meyer of Sacramento, Calif.; a twin sister and brother, Shayne M. Meyer and Shane R. Meyer, both of Waynesboro; a half sister, Candice E. Mowbray of Hagerstown; three aunts; an uncle; and cousins.
Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. CH (CPT) Stanley D. Arnold will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, with graveside services by the U.S. Army.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kenneth L. Bumbaugh
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Kenneth L. Born March 27, 1939, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late David and Thelma Bumbaugh Bumbaugh.
He owned and operated Ken's Garage. He previously had been employed as a trouble shooter by Modern Handling of York, Pa. He operated the former Ken's Barber Shop on Washington Street in Chambersburg; and was employed by Knouse Foods in Chambersburg.
He attended Community Pentecostal Missions in Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Baker Bumbaugh, whom he married
Dec. 28, 1958; two daughters, Debra Ann Eichelberger of Chambersburg and Gina Weibley of Newville, Pa.; two sons, Lee Eugene Sprow of Chambersburg and Kenneth A. Bumbaugh of St. Thomas, Pa.; a sister, Dorothy Rock of Chambersburg; a brother, James Bumbaugh of Fayetteville, Pa.; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Bumbaugh, in 1984.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Thomas L. Giesel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Revs. Clarence W. DeHart Jr. and Wilber L. Sites Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
Thomas E. Wingert

He served in the U.S. Navy.
He worked at ATT as a communications technician for 30 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of Chambersburg Harley Chapter; Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1758; Order of Owls Nest No. 1073; Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 1191; Joe Stickell American Legion Post No. 15, all of Waynesboro; Fairfield AMVETS Post No. 172; National Rifle Association; and Eastern Chapter of the National Muzzleloader Association.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel L. Helman Wingert, whom he married
Dec. 11, 1981; three daughters, Tammy Pierre of Chambersburg, Pa., Beth Reecher of Waynesboro and Shelly Louise Gordon of Mercersburg, Pa.; a sister, Barbara Bowders of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Eugene M. Cline will officiate. Burial will be in Grindstone Hill Cemetery with military services by Charles M. Nitterhouse VFW Post No. 1599 honor guard, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Lucille Marquiss will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown.
