Born Jan. 31, 1921, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Steiner L. and Hazel Firestone Humerick.
She was a 1939 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
She was employed by Corning Glass Works in Greencastle, Pa., as an assembly worker for 25 years, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro.
She was a member of National AARP. She was a den mother in Paris, where her husband was stationed from 1954 to 1958.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin L. Watts, whom she married
Dec. 25, 1941; a daughter, Faye W. Rock of Waynesboro; three sons, Leroy S. Watts of Austin, Texas, and Donald L. Watts and David A. Watts, both of Waynesboro; a sister, Hazel Shealer of Waynesboro; a brother, Bud Humerick of Clearwater, Fla.; six grandchildren; a stepgrandson; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Caroline Humerick and Eva Needy.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Walter A. Stuart will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Irene D. Handloff, 89, of Penn Hall Nursing Center, and formerly of 18821 Dry Run Road South, Dry Run, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, July 31, 1999, at Penn Hall.
Born Oct. 8, 1909, in Biddeford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Maxime and Clarina Blanchette DeSautels.

She had attended the Biddeford School System.
She was a homemaker. She earlier worked as a hairdresser in Atlantic City, N.J.
She was a Catholic.
She is survived by one son, J. Guy LeVesque of Brunswick, Maine.; and one brother, Conrad DeSautels of Mount Dora, Fla.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Luis Rodriguez will officiate. Burial will be private.
There will be no viewing.

Eva M. Gobrecht
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Eva M. Gobrecht, 95, of 2 Village Square, and formerly of 124 S. Born Oct. 30, 1903, in Greene Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Mary A. Traxler Shearer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe S.E. Gobrecht, in 1971.
She was a graduate of Fannett Township (Pa.) High School. She attended Penn State College in State College, Pa. and Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Pa. She graduated from Shippensburg State College with a degree in education.
She retired after 35 years as an elementary school teacher.
She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Chambersburg.
She was a member of Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees; Franklin County Chapter of Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees; Franklin County Chapter AARP 2287; Franklin County Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution; Cumberland Valley Chapter Daughter of 1812; Perry County Chapter 459 Order of Eastern Star; Martha Custis Chapter 342 Order of Eastern Star, Chambersburg; Ladies Auxiliary McCartney Post 232 American Legion, Dry Run; Pennsylvania and National Grange; Chambersburg Area Hospital Auxiliary, and a former member of Gideon Grange 2010, Hanover, Pa.,
She is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Thebes of New Bloomfield, Pa.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Revs. C. Edward Morgan and Vernon D. Isner will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bartholomew's U.C.C. Cemetery, Hanover.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

William E. Ervin

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine M. Kauffman Ervin, in 1994. They were married
in 1951.
He was retired from TB Woods Sons Inc. in Chambersburg.
He was affiliated with Montgomery Brethren in Christ Church, Upton, Pa.
He is survived by three daughters, Doris L. Ervin, at home, Linda M. Leevy of Chambersburg and Vickie Frantz of Greencastle, Pa.; one son, Eugene E. Ervin of Grand Prairie, Texas; four sisters, Geraldine Snyder of Lancaster, Calif., and Bessie Lehman, Blanche McLaughlin and Donna Middaugh, all of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Ann Ervin; six sisters and four brothers.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Curtis Bryant will officiate. Burial will be in Grindstone Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Betty L. Bingaman
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Betty L. She attended Quincy Township schools.
She helped her husband on the family farm for many years.
She was a member of Calvary Bible Church near Greencastle, Pa., where she also was a member of Adult Sunday School Class. When she was younger, she taught Vacation Bible School at Ebenezer "Guitners" United Brethren Church near Greencastle.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel H. Bingaman Jr., whom she married
Sept. 10, 1948; three daughters, Janice B. McEntire and Susan F. Bingaman, both of Waynesboro and Carol A. Pugh of Chambersburg, Pa.; three sisters, Mildred Fortney a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home in Quincy, Pa., Hazel Heckman a resident of Shook Home in Chambersburg and Ruby Shindle of Greencastle; a brother, Chester W. Seilhamer of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce M. Bingaman; a sister and two brothers.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Bible Church, 3845 Buchanan Trail West, Greencastle. The Rev. Glen A. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle; and Tuesday one hour before the services at the church.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Building Fund of Calvary Bible Church, 3845 Buchanan Trail West, Greencastle, PA 17225.
