CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Cora Belle Stine, 86, a resident of Falling Spring Nursing Home, and formerly of 4233 Shatzer St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, July 16, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born Oct. 9, 1912, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William Grant and Mary Ellen Stinger Stine.
She attended school in Greencastle.
She was employed as a seamstress at Stanley Company, Chambersburg for 25 years, retiring in 1977.
She is survived by her common-law-husband, Lawrence Edward Hancock also a resident of Falling Spring Nursing Home; a daughter, Elenor E. Willis of Nashville, Tenn.; a son, Warren R. Wallech of Pikesville, Md.; a sister, Jeanette Bupp of Rouzerville, Pa.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Mark Willis and Kevin Willis; sisters and brothers.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Miller-Grove Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle. Pastor Stuart Troutman will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends today from 1 to 4 p.m. and Monday two hours before the services at the funeral home.
Barbara J. Manning
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Barbara J. Manning, 58, of 139 Amsley Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, July 16, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Dec. 2, 1940, in Warfordsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Bethea Maye Layton-Deneen of Chambersburg, and the late Ralph G. Layton.
She was a secretary at one time in the Franklin County Courthouse Registrar's Office, and Wilson College Registrar's Office. She was owner and broker of B.J. Manning Real Estate.
She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Chambersburg.
She was a life member of Realtor's Association; a charter member of The Greater Chambersburg Area Multi-list Association; and a member of St. Thomas Sewer Authority Board.
She had a long history of volunteer service including Penn Laurel Girl Scout Leader; St. Thomas United Methodist Church Sunday School teacher; PTA president; Republican Committee chairperson of Franklin County, Pa.; tutoring students at St. Thomas Elementary School; and clerical work at St. Paul United Methodist Church; among many other organizations.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Charles A. Manning, whom she married
Nov. 29, 1958; two daughters, Debra S. Kase of St. Thomas, Pa. and Elnora M. Mowery of Shippensburg, Pa.; a son, Michael A. Manning of Chambersburg; a stepsister, Satricia Woodal of Warfordsburg, Pa.; two brothers, Darrel R. Layton of Dillsburg, Pa., and Gary W. Layton of McClellandtown, Pa.; a stepbrother, Lubrent Deneen of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, J. Lewis Deneen.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Norland Avenue, Chambersburg. Pastor Robert Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 6492 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas; and Tuesday one hour before the services at the church. For the convenience of friends, the door of the funeral home will be open Monday from 2 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to American Diabetes Association, Attn: ADA WEB, P.O. Box 9691, Washington, D.C. 20090-6911; or St. Paul United Methodist Church Building Fund, 750 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Jacob Geller
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Jacob Geller, 92, of Village Square, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, July 16, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born May 30, 1907, in Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late Morris and Mamie Bruckner Geller.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minna Geller.
He was self-employed in the linen supply business in New York City.
He is survived by a son, Harry Geller of Harrisburg, Pa.; two sisters, Florence Kamaiko of New York City and Gerry Rheingold of California; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Sunday at noon at Sons of Israel Cemetery, Chambersburg. Rabbi Carl S. Choper, of Temple Beth Shalom in Mechanicsburg, Pa., will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements are by Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
Jonathan A. Miller
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Jonathan A. "Jon" Miller, 18, of 11762 Kimberly Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, July 14, 1999, of injuries received in a fall at Bad Branch Falls near Harlan, Ky.
Born June 26, 1981, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of W. Jonathan and Cynthia J. Sellers Miller of Greencastle.
A 1999 honors graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School, he graduated third in his class. In school, he was a member of the basketball and track teams; concert choir; Choralaires; Student Council; and National Honor Society.
He was working as a senior camp counselor at Camp Joy El near Greencastle, Pa.
He attended Hollowell Brethren Christ Church near Waynesboro, and was active in the youth group, puppet team, missions team and the church basketball team.
He had been a camp counselor for several years and was a member of Living Miracles Singing Group of CBM Ministries. He was enrolled for the fall semester at Messiah College where he was to major in business administration.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Elizabeth A. Miller of Ligonier, Pa.; maternal grandparents, Leslie and Billie Jeanne Sellers of Greencastle; paternal grandparents, Jacob F. and Norabelle Miller of Chambersburg, Pa.; and three uncles.
Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Hollowell Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro. The Rev. James Sollenberger will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
There will be no public viewing; the family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle.

Robert A. Boxler Jr.
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Robert A. "Bobby" Boxler Jr., 40, of 198 Black Gap Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, July 14, 1999, on US 30 near Caledonia State Park, Fayetteville, at the scene of a single motor vehicle accident.
Born April 26, 1959, in Johnstown, Pa., he was the son of Robert A. Sr. and Joan Royko Boxler of Fayetteville.
He was a 1977 graduate of Chambersburg High School, Chambersburg.
He was employed by Hoffman-Mills in Shippensburg, Pa. He had been employed by T.B. Woods Sons and Reynolds and Reynolds Inc., both of Chambersburg, Pa.
He had been active with Boy Scouts of America, and attained the rank of Eagle Scout.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Cheryl A. Yeager of Mercersburg, Pa., and Donna A. Rosenberry and Denise A. Nead, both of Fayetteville; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Teresa Agnes Boxler; maternal grandparents, Peter and Mary Chalan Royko; and paternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Young Boxler Sr.
A memorial service will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
Burial will be private.
Visitation will be Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
It was his request that his organs be donated to benefit others.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
