Born Sept. 29, 1910, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James H. and Alva S. Butts Barthlow.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leslie Michael in 1945; and her second husband, Preston B. Carl Sr. in 1975.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Hawbaker of Greencastle, Pa. and Wanda M. Henson of Hagerstown; two sons, Leslie Michael Jr. and Kenneth Eugene Michael Sr., both of Hagerstown; a stepdaughter, Marilyn Wiles of Smithsburg; a stepson, Preston Carl Jr. of Hagerstown; three sisters, Nora Hartle and Emily Miller, both of Hagerstown and Ethel Padgett of Accokeek, Md.; a brother, Leroy Barthlow of Greencastle; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Raymond H. Shriver will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Zola J. Keebaugh
HUSTONTOWN, Pa. - Zola Jean Keebaugh, 74, of Hustontown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, June 18, 1999, at her home.
Born July 20, 1924, in Wells Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Elmer Roy and Mary Elizabeth Bridenstine Barnett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leonard Keebaugh, in 1995. They were married
April 21, 1945.
She worked at Sagner Inc. in McConnellsburg, Pa., for 18 years. While she was employed there, she was the Union Health and Welfare Steward.
She was a member of Hustontown United Methodist Church.
She was a member of Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Company and Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; VFW Auxiliary of McConnellsburg; American Legion Auxiliary of McConnellsburg; and Eagles Aerie No. 4274, McConnellsburg.
She was the secretary of Northern Fulton Burial Association since 1975; and secretary of Hustontown-Forbes Road Alumni Association for the past 40 years.
She was an active member of the local bingo circuit, playing in Fulton, Huntingdon, Bedford and Franklin counties.
She is survived by two daughters, Frances J. Hoover and Nancy L. Traxler, both of Hustontown; one son, William R. Keebaugh of Chambersburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. Burial will be in Hustontown Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends also may call Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Ned R. Kelso

Born Jan. 17, 1932, in Lurgan Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Carl W. and Edith M. Rine Kelso Sr.
He retired after 40 years as an engineer with Conrail.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Chambersburg Club; Amvets Post No. 224; and The Landis-McCleaf Detachment Marine Corp. League, all in Chambersburg.
He was a member of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers Division No. 74.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Schuchman Kelso; two daughters, Laurie Ann Beltz of Orrstown, Pa. and Stacy Louise Heefner of Chambersburg; a son, Ned R. Kelso Jr. of Chambersburg; two stepdaughters, Kelly L. George of Chambersburg and Leslie A. Parson of Shade Gap, Pa.; a stepson, R. Timothy George of St. Thomas, Pa.; two sisters, Martha Lininger of Shippensburg, Pa. and Margaret Corbett of Hagerstown; two brothers, Carl W. Kelso Jr. of Shippensburg and Joe E. Kelso of Chambersburg; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Michael George; and a brother, David T. Kelso.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Richard J. Fischl will officiate. Burial with military honors conducted by Shippensburg VFW and American Legion Posts, will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Greene Township, Pa.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Azilee F. Atherton
QUINCY, Pa. - Azilee F. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard F. Atherton, in 1973.
She attended school at Browns Mill School of Kauffman Station.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greencastle; and a member of the former Trinity United Brethren Church of State Line, where she served as church custodian for many years.
She was a life member of Rescue Hose Company No. 1 Auxiliary of Greencastle; and a member of Greencastle Sportsmans Club Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter, Susann M. Snyder of Greencastle; a son, Larry C. Atherton of Waynesboro; a sister, Zola Hoffman a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Mayhugh; and two brothers, Marshall Lanehart and Preston Lanehart.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. David Armstrong and the Rev. Donald Bohn will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary B. Peters Zimmerman

She is survived by her husband, William N. Zimmerman, whom she married
April 17, 1965; two daughters, Gloria Lehman and Nancy Averill, both of Chambersburg; one son, Herbert M. Peters of Chambersburg; two sisters, Dorothy Raffensberger of Ortanna, Pa., and Margaret Snyder of Chambersburg; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, one sister, two brothers, one grandson, and two great-grandsons.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. A. Robert Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday from noon to 1 p.m.

Helen B. Shatzer

She is survived by her husband, Joe E. Shatzer, whom she married
April 8, 1945; one daughter, Carol J. Dice of Chambersburg; two sons, Steve E. Shatzer of Winchester, Va., and the Rev. Timothy L. Shatzer of Brunswick, Md.; two brothers, Paul Freet of Chambersburg, and Charles Freet of Fayetteville, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Meyers; two sisters, Jane Kriner and Frances Babb; and one brother.
Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg. The Rev. Kevin Witter and the Rev. Lester Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.; and one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Monday. For the convenience of friends the funeral home will be open Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.
