FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Earl E. Berger, 68, of 6028 Fairway Drive West, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at his home.
Born March 7, 1931, in Union Hill, Pa., he was the son of the late Elmer E. and Mildred Henry Berger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Paxton Berger, in 1993. They were married
Nov. 30, 1957.
He was a graduate of Lehighton (Pa.) High School. In 1957, he received his bachelor of science degree in Dairy Science from Penn State University.
He retired after 30 years from H.C. Gabler in Chambersburg, Pa., where he worked as a dairy farmer. He then was employed by Snavely's Garden Corner, Fayetteville.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, had been president of the church council, and served on the finance and property committees.
He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer L. Berger of Zionsville, Ind.; a son, Jeffrey L. Berger of Zionsville; a sister, Sylvia Thack of Lehighton; a brother, Bruce Berger of Lehighton; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fayetteville. The Rev. David L. Hefner will officiate. Burial will be in New Guilford Brethren in Christ Cemetery, Fayetteville.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg; and Saturday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Michael E. Boswell
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Michael E. "Mike" Boswell, 38, of 7645 Mentzer Gap Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa. as a result of a dune buggy accident on May 31, 1999, near his home on Mentzer Gap Road.
Born Aug. 14, 1960, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Robert E. and Dorothy E. Bitner Boswell of Waynesboro.
He was a 1978 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School. He attended Franklin County Vocational Technical School in auto body mechanics.
He worked for a short time at Landis Machine Co., Waynesboro in the paint shop. He owned and operated Boswell's Auto Body Shop behind his home on Mentzer Gap Road.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hagerstown.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer N. Boswell, of Waynesboro; a son, Michael R. Boswell, of Waynesboro; a sister, Wendy L. Scott of Waynesboro; his companion, Paula J. Long Hunt, at home; maternal grandparents, Arthur R. and Anna E. Foreman Bitner of Waynesboro; a niece; a nephew; aunts; uncles and cousins.
He was an organ donor through the Gift of Life of Philadelphia.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Revs. Willis C. Hess and Lin M. Smalec will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Boswell, 4644 Salem Church Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
Kenneth H. Bayne
PHILADELPHIA - Kenneth H. He was formerly employed by the railroad. He retired in 1968.
He was executive director of the YMCA from 1969 to 1983.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He received the Croix de Guerre from the French.
He was a Master Mason and a member of Montgomery Lodge No. 195 AF & AM in Rockville.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Moler Bayne; two daughters, Barbara Bayne-Brock of Annapolis, and Linda Bayne-Andrews of Willard, Ohio; a son, Richard Fulton of Fredericksburg, Va.; two sisters, Caroline Darling of Boston and Louise Kinsey of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a brother, J. Edward Bayne of Annapolis; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick, Md. Services will be conducted by the Masonic Lodge. Burial will be in Reformed Cemetery, Knoxville, Md.
The family will receive friends Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Frances S. Kepner

Born June 20, 1913, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Franklin H. and Grace Patterson Sweigert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Warren Kepner Jr., in 1969.
Early in life, she worked for the Franklin County Probation Office. She also was a legal and medical secretary.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Chambersburg, and sang in the choir.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly K. Laidig of Lancaster, Pa.; a son, Randall S. Kepner of St. Thomas, Pa.; five stepgrandchildren; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Spangler; and a brother, Franklin Patterson Sweigert.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. Pastor W. K. Lee will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
There will be no viewing; however, the family will receive friends Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

An LPN, she worked in nursing homes in Lancaster County.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Wingerd of Chambersburg and Jacquelyn Marshall of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, Lynford Owens of Miami, Fla., and Gerald Owens of West Palm, Fla.; a sister, Anna Furst of Hershey, Pa.; a brother, M. Ross Evans of Dover, Del.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Charles Kind will officiate. Burial will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery, Ephrata, Pa.
There will be no viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

She was a former member of McConnellsburg Fire Company; and of American Legion Post No. 561 of McConnellsburg.
She is survived by her husband, Lester Diehl Jr., whom she married
May 15, 1997; a daughter, Patricia Hann of Hustontown, Pa.; a son, Kenneth Waite of Hustontown; a sister, Wanda Yingling of Three Springs, Pa.; six brothers, Robert Drenning of Hustontown, Carl Drenning of Three Springs, Louis Drenning and Clyde Drenning, both of Harrisonville, Glenn Drenning of Robertsdale, Pa., and Arthur Drenning of Waterfall, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Sipes Funeral Home, Harrisonville. The Rev. Donald Simmons will officiate. Burial will be in Center United Methodist Cemetery, Waterfall, Pa.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
