McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Ruth Leona Reeder, 92, of 213 N. Born Oct. 9, 1906, in Ayr Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Jessie Mae Mellott Hendershot.
Her husband, Charles Morton Reeder, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1972.
She formerly co-owned Ruth's Hat and Dress Shop in McConnellsburg, worked at Sagner Clothing Manufacturing, and was a clerk at the Murphy store in McConnellsburg. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Sideling Hill Christian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Nellie R. Kelso and Almyra Keefer, both of McConnellsburg; two sons, C. Harry Reeder and Robert Reeder, both of McConnellsburg; two sisters, Stella Graves of Hagerstown, and Madaleine Ott of Chambersburg, Pa.; one brother, Lemuel Hendershot of Big Cove Tannery, Pa.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ella Mae Reeder; one sister, Esta Buterbaugh; and three brothers, William Hendershot, Edward Hendershot and Donald Hendershot.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Sideling Hill Christian Church in Harrisonville, Pa. The Rev. William Swope will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg.
The family will receive friends at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, today from 7 to 9 p.m., and at the church one hour prior to the service. The funeral home will be open today from 2 p.m.
James R. Rock
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - James R. Rock, 57, of 266 W. Second St., Waynesboro, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, May 28. 1999, at his home.
Born Feb. 4, 1942, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Richard C. and Louise S. Rosenberry Rock.
He was a 1960 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
He retired in 1993 from Mack Truck, Local 171, Hagerstown, in the machine shop after 32 years.
He was a member of Waynesboro Fish and Game Association.
He is survived by one sister, Lois Vanderau of Waynesboro, and two nieces.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The Rev. Roger K. Myers will officiate.
The family requests omission of flowers and that memorial contributions be made to Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematory, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
Nora E. Oberholzer
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Nora E. Oberholzer, 86, of 609 S. Washington St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, May 28, 1999, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Oct. 15, 1912, in Lemasters, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Ella McLucas Barnes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. "Doc" Oberholzer, in 1966.
She was a 1930 graduate of Greencastle High School.
She was a homemaker and helped her husband operate the family farm. She was a McNess Products dealer for nearly 30 years.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greencastle, where she had been a member of Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (WELCA) and a member of the Women's Bible Class of the Sunday School.
She was a member of Greencastle Senior Center; Greencastle AARP Chapter No. 3025; a member and past president of Greencastle Senior Women's Club; and a member of Greencastle-Antrim Loyal Daughters.
She enjoyed sewing for her family and traveling.
She is survived by six daughters, Lorraine "Dolly" Shoemaker, Eileen Souders, Carolyn Kendle and Judy Myers, all of Greencastle, Lyndell Smith of Chambersburg, Pa. and Kaye Emerick of Falling Waters, W.Va.; seven sons, Merle "Buster" Oberholzer, Donald "Duck" Oberholzer, Richard Oberholzer, Vaughn Oberholzer and Dwaine Oberholzer, all of Greencastle, Bernard Oberholzer of Williamson, Pa. and Daryl Oberholzer of Wakarusa, Ind.; four sisters, Evelyn Grosh, Betty Bitner and Janet Seylar, all of Greencastle and Lois Oberholzer of Delaware; 48 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Linford Oberholzer in 1993; a granddaughter, Justina Smith in 1986; and five brothers, Harold Barnes, Paul Barnes, Warren Barnes, Raymond Barnes and Olen Barnes.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church, 130 N. Washington St., Greencastle. The Rev. Alan Wilson, the Rev. Donald Bohn and the Rev. Glen Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle; and Wednesday one hour before the services at the church.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Memorial Fund of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 130 N. Washington St., Greencastle, PA 17225; or Greencastle Senior Center, 10615 Antrim Church Road, Greencastle, PA 17225.
John T. McCormick
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - John Thompson McCormick, 80, of 25 Pine Way and formerly of Baltimore, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, May 29, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born Nov. 14, 1918, in Chelmsford, Mass., he was the son of the late John and Sarah Thompson McCormick.
He had attended Lowell Institute of Technology, Lowell, Mass.
He retired as a construction superintendent. During his career, he had been involved in replacing the roof on Monticello, home of former president Thomas Jefferson. He also had done work for Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, as well as, restoration work for several museums.
He had served in the Quartermaster Corps of the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of Greenwood Hills Chapel, Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Dorothy Taylor McCormick, whom he married
June 14, 1941; and his son, Donald James McCormick, at home.
Services will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Thomas B. Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Tuesday one hour before the services at the funeral home.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Louise C. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fayetteville, Pa.
She is survived by two sons, Parker L. Phillips of Loveland, Ohio and Ernest M. Phillips of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Michaud and Bud Michaud.
Services will be Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 44 E. Main St., Fayetteville. The Rev. David L. Hefner will officiate.
Burial will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 7:30 p.m., before the services at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 44 E. Main St., Fayetteville, PA 17222.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Crystal R. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1758 and Waynesboro Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three daughters, Ashley N. Miller of Cascade, and Bridgette L. Schultz and Erin M. Schultz, both of Johnstown, Pa.; a son, Dustin A. Schultz of Johnstown; three sisters, Trina Shultz of Chambersburg, Judy Freeman of State Line, Pa., and Yolanda Miller of Hagerstown; a brother, Lester C. "Lee" Green III of Orlando; maternal grandmother, Catherine Yohe of Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown; paternal grandmother, Rachel Green of Waynesboro; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, George W. Yohe; and paternal grandfather, Lester C. Green Sr.
Memorial services will be held today at 10 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
There will be no public viewing.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, in care of Joan Goetz, 219 W. Second St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematorium, Waynesboro.
