FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Robert J. Crotty, 70, of 5928 Fairway Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, May 25, 1999, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Oct. 5, 1928, in West Orange, N.J., he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose Murphy Crotty.
He served 21 years in the U.S. military. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1945 and was a salvage diver. In 1953, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a survivor of the battle at the Chosin Reservoir in North Korea. In 1957, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He retired in 1970. He then worked for 20 years with the American Automobile Association in Washington, D.C., as a management analyst.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
He was a member at large of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of Burt J. Asper American Legion Post No. 46, Chambersburg; and BPO Elks No. 600, Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Jean C. Zerkle Crotty, whom he married
Nov. 14, 1959; a sister, Joan McCann of Berkley Heights, N.J.; a brother, Joseph Crotty Jr. of Elizabeth, N.J.; two cousins; nieces; nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jay Crotty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg. The Rev. Luis R. Rodriguez will be celebrant. Burial will be private.
There will be no public viewing; however, the family will receive friends Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. After the Mass, the family will receive friends at Parish Hall.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
Leah M. O'Hara

Born May 30, 1941, in Windber, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George H. and Anna C. Rhode Phillips.
She was a graduate of Windber Area Senior High School, Windber.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Terry L. O'Hara, whom she married
Dec. 30, 1962; a daughter, Tracy Gift of Chambersburg; three sons, Terry L. O'Hara II and Howard Faust, both of Chambersburg, and Donnie Faust of Howe, Ind.; a sister, Dorothy Snyder of South Fork, Pa.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, George H. Phillips Jr.
Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Darrell Baer will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Elderday at Menno Haven, 2075 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Rae C. Summers
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Rae C. Harrow Summers, 73, of 256 W. Main St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, May 25, 1999, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born July 12, 1925, in Grimstead, Va., she was the daughter of the late Nellie Callis Buchanan and Graydon Harrow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rush C. Summers, in 1986. They were married
March 11, 1943.
She attended school in Grimstead.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Waynesboro.
She is survived by three sons, James C. Summers of Waynesboro, Michael R. Summers of Greencastle, Pa., and Jeffrey L. Summers of Columbia, Md.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Linwood Buchanan.
Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The Rev. James T. Williams will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
It was her request to have no public viewing.

Margaret E. Freeman

Born Nov. 28, 1920, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Orville K. Sr. and Lillian Cordell Crumbacker.
She was a 1938 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro, where she taught Sunday School.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lewis H. Freeman; a daughter, Suzanne F. Allman of Villanova, Pa.; a son, Scot L. Freeman of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Jacqueline M. Kline of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville Crumbacker Jr. and Robert Crumbacker.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43 S. Church St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Richard A. Seaks will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Thursday at 10 a.m. at the church.
There will be no public viewing.

WASHINGTON, Pa. - Lily M. Born Dec. 16, 1916, in Myersville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Fred W. and Grace Ludy Jones.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Knott; and three brothers, Paul Jones, Lindberg Jones and William Jones.
Services will be today at 10:30 a.m. in Penn Yan.
Memorial donations may be made to the Office of the Aging in Penn Yan.

Lucinda K. Freeman
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Lucinda K. Freeman, 33, of 499 E. She was employed by Lowe's in Chambersburg. She had been employed as an EMT by Tri-County Ambulance Service, Chambersburg; and had worked as a DJ with WEEO and WSRT 92.1 FM.
She attended Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
She was an EMT; a member of South Mountain Fire Co., South Mountain, Pa., where she served for two years as ambulance chief and one year as deputy ambulance chief. She was a member of Waynesboro Ambulance Squad.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Steven H. Freeman of Waynesboro; maternal grandmother, Kathryn Groft of Ocala, Fla.; one aunt, and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Gervase Groft.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. Burial will be in Strang's Cemetery, South Mountain.
It was her request that there be no viewing.
