Born April 5, 1929, in Hanover, Pa., she was the daughter of the late R. Francis and Rose Miller Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel R. Catalino, whom she married

She was a 1947 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, McSherrystown, Pa.
She retired in 1991 from Regency Thermographers, Waynesboro, as an expediter.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, where she was a member of Women in Faith, a choir member for many years and past chairperson of the Bingo Committee.
She was a member of Daughters of Isabella Circle 473, Hanover, Community Concert Association, Waynesboro, Pa., Senior Citizen's Bus Tour Group and National A.A.R.P. She was also active in the mentoring program at Fairfield and Hooverville elementary schools.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann M. Williams of Munford, Ala.; three sons, Samuel D. Catalino of Brandon, Fla., Lawrence A. Catalino of Smyrna, Del., and David M. Catalino of Waldorf, Md.; three sisters, Betty Crawford of Hanover, Sister Margaret Smith of Cochabamba, Bolivia, and Patricia GaBree of Jackson, N.J.; one brother, Gerard Smith of Phoenix; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and one step-great-granddaughter.
A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Thomas J. Hemler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Waynesboro, at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.

Kermit R. Evans
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Kermit R. Evans, 75, of 1996 Hafer Road, Fayetteville, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, May 14, 1999, at his home.
Born Jan. 10, 1924, in St. Thomas Township, Pa., he was the son of the late John C. and Ethel C. Ernst Evans.
He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pa., after 10 years of service. He was employed in mobile home sales and service for many years, including with the former Prestige Mobile Homes, Lancaster, Pa., and then with Deerhead Mobile Homes in Fayetteville and Chambersburg, He owned and operated Evan's Mobile Home Homes, Shippensburg, Pa., for several years prior to working at Letterkenny. He was also been employed at one time by the Pennsylvania Mobile Home Association.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He attended Prince Street United Brethren Church, Shippensburg.
He was a life member of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599, V.F.W., a member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, and Hume-McNeal-Byers AMVETS Post 224, all of Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine M. Shatzer Evans, whom he married
in 1955; one daughter, Lorile E. Eberly of Greencastle, Pa.; one son, K. Chad Evans of Fayetteville; two sisters, Cleda Easterbrook of Carlisle, Pa., and Esther Lockbaum of Shippensburg; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Jaye M. Bartle will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, Pa.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary C. Mummert
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary C. Born Dec. 6, 1908, in Letterkenny Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William H. and Maggie Wingert Karper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Paul Mummert, whom she married

She was a member of Solomon's Lutheran Church at Grindstone Hill, Chambersburg, where she served as Sunday School teacher of Busy Bee Sunday School Class and volunteered with vacation Bible school programs. She also was a member of Lutheran Church Women and served as pianist.
She was a member of Ladies Aid Society and Franklin County Farm Women.
She is survived by five sons, Glenn K. Mummert, Kenneth H. Mummert, and Gerald E. Mummert, all of Chambersburg, Harold E. Mummert of Winchester, Va., and Earl L. Mummert of Harrisburg, Pa.; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles W. Karper and Paul W. Karper.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Solomon's Lutheran Church at Grindstone Hill, 4856 Wayne Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Michael E. Allwein and the Rev. K. Allan Mummert will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Chambersburg, with a family service at 9:30 a.m.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Solomon's Lutheran Church Building Fund, 4856 Wayne Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to the charity of one's choice.
Lester R. Texter, Jr.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary L. Bricker Texter, whom he married
in 1974; one daughter, Amanda R. Texter and one son, Timothy R. Texter, both at home.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William H. Texter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born Jan. 8, 1903, in the Churchill area of Peters Township, Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Samuel and Anna Sollenberger Myers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary K. Hughes Myers, whom he married

He was of the Protestant faith.
In his early years he attended Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greencastle.
He is survived by one daughter, Isabelle L. Statler of Greencastle; one son, Robert W. Myers of Greencastle; one sister, Pauline Myers of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one infant daughter; three sisters, Olive Myers, Luella Shinham and Ethel Friese; and one brother, Snively Myers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Miller-Grove Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle. The Rev. Stuart Troutman will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
