CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Fanny Rebuck Myers, 90, of Menno Haven, and formerly of 543 E. Born Jan. 24, 1909, in Mongul, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Oscar E. and Effie Grace Stouffer Rebuck.
Her first husband, John Franklin Miller, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1954.
Her second husband, Harold W. Myers Sr., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1994.
She was a 1931 graduate of Shippensburg (Pa.) Normal State Teachers College.
She was an elementary school teacher in Chambersburg Area School District and taught fourth grade at Fayetteville Elementary School in Fayetteville, Pa., retiring in 1972.
She was a member of and pianist at Orrstown United Brethren Church in Orrstown, Pa.,
She was a member of Retired Teachers Association and the Republican Club, and volunteered at Piney Mountain in Fayetteville.
She is survived by three daughters, Dorene Timmons of Chambersburg, Linda Gettys of Dover, Pa., and Sharon Sites of Upper Strasburg, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Sylvia Hess of Lancaster, Pa.; two stepsons, the Rev. Harold W. Myers Jr. of Harrisonville, Va., and Larry Myers of Bristol, Ind.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nina Grace Miller.
Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Revs. Paul B. Baker and Charles E. Sunday will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Shippensburg, Pa.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
H. Grant Auman Jr.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - H. Grant Auman Jr., 79, of 1493 Crottlestown Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at Manorcare Health Services in Chambersburg.
Born Aug. 5, 1919, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Harvey Grant and Etta Mae Linninger Auman.
He was a 1938 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
He was a machine operator for T.B. Woods Sons Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1983. He formerly co-owned Auman & Leather Plumbing and Heating in Chambersburg.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chambersburg.
He was a member of Charles M. Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599; Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46, and American Association of Retired Persons.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Gordon Auman, whom he married
June 22, 1940; one son, Sidney Grant Auman of Chambersburg; two grandsons, Stephen Grant Auman of Newburg, Pa., and Paul Eugene Auman of Chambersburg; one great-granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Stenger Hill Cemetery in Fort Loudon, Pa. The Rev. Donald C. Nolder will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 225 S. Second St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Charles A. Peiffer
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Charles A. Peiffer, 77, of 518 Green St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, May 10, 1999, in the emergency room of Waynesboro Hospital.
Born June 14, 1921, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Aaron G. and Ruth Minerva Sprankle Peiffer.
He was a 1940 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific Theater.
He was employed by Landis Machine Co., Waynesboro, for 21 years. Prior to retiring in1986, he was a machine operator at Mack Trucks, Hagerstown, for 24 years.
He was a member of Church of the Nazarene, Hagerstown and Ambassador Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mabel R. Carbaugh Peiffer; a daughter, Linda A. Peiffer of Waynesboro; seven sisters, Lenora R. Shatzer of Hagerstown, J. Kathryn O'Donnell and Shirley M. Spealman, both of Chambersburg, Pa., Sandra D. Huber of Fayetteville, Pa., M. Jane Hoffman of Waynesboro, Margaret M. Wagaman of Mont Alto, Pa. and Trudy J. Wagaman of Springfield, Va.; four brothers, Gerald E. Peiffer and Kenneth L. Peiffer, both of Waynesboro, Frederick D. Peiffer of Mercersburg, Pa., and Lowell E. Peiffer of West Virginia; a half sister, Helen L. Minnich of Waynesboro; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur G. Peiffer; two half sisters, Evelyn Shadle and Ruth Peiffer; and three half brothers, Norman Peiffer, Lester Peiffer and Harold Peiffer.
Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor Richard A. Wilson and the Rev. Walter A. Stuart will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Grace Vivian Colburn Ellington, 75, of 25 N. Potomac St. and formerly of 312 S. Born Aug. 26, 1923, in Frewsburg, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Lawson C. and Bertha G. Bragg Colburn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Ellington, in 1992. They were married
Aug. 11, 1943.
She was a 1941 graduate of Frewsburg High School. She attended the University of Virginia.
She was director for Behavior Therapy in Florida, North Carolina and New York.
She served in the U.S. Air Force.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro.
She was a member of North Chapter No. 739 AARP, Waynesboro; and National AARP.
She is survived by a daughter, Vivian Ann Ellington-McNeary of Rochester, N.Y.; two sons, Alan R. Ellington of Nashville, Tenn., and Gerry C. Ellington of Waynesboro; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Monica Ellington, in 1996.
Services may be announced later by Cumberland Valley Crematorium, Waynesboro.

Ann E. Gibble
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Ann Earhart Gibble, 56, of 81 Monroe Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Carlisle (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Feb. 23, 1943, in Lancaster, Pa., she was the daughter of J. Stanley and Anna Lois Hess Earhart of Lancaster.
She was a 1960 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. She received a bachelor of arts in sociology from Bridgewater College in 1964. As a junior, she participated in the Brethren Colleges Abroad program, studying in Marburg, Germany. In 1981, she was awarded a master of science degree in community counseling from Shippensburg University.
She taught English at Kennard-Dale High School, then taught German and English at Red Land High School, where she initiated a foreign exchange program. She was value sharing coordinator for the Tri-County Council on Addictive Diseases in Harrisburg; and was assistant director of the Harrisburg Urban Semester.
An ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren, she was co-pastor with her husband of Arlington (Va.) Church of the Brethren from 1985-1995. She was client supervisor for Family Care Services in Chambersburg.
She sang in school, community and church musical groups and was a member of the Chorale at Chambersburg Church of the Brethren. She previously was organist at First Church of the Brethren in Harrisburg.
She was a member of Chambersburg Church of the Brethren, taught Sunday school, served on the Worship and Music Commission and the Hospitality Team. She was Peace Counselor for the congregation.
For six years, she served on the board of On Earth Peace Assembly, a Church of the Brethren organization committed to peace and reconciliation; and was a member of the advisory board of the Frances Leiter Center in Chambersburg. She was a member of American Association of University Women, Carlisle.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Kenneth Gibble, whom she married
June 21, 1974; a daughter, Katie Ann Gibble of Arlington, Va.; a sister, Marguerite Earhart of Marietta, Ga.; and two brothers, William Earhart of Manassas, Va., and Robert Earhart of Pomona, Calif.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Chambersburg Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Donald Baker and the Rev. Alice Martin-Adkins will officiate.
The private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Sunday at 3 p.m. at the church.
