Born Feb. 12, 1920, in Providence Township, Montgomery County, Pa., he was the son of the late Frank and Fannie Conley Seville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia C. Gress Seville, whom he married

He was a heavy equipment operator on road construction in his early years and retired in 1982 from PennDOT, where he had worked as a supervisor.
He attended Evangel Assembly of God Church, McConnellsburg.
He was former President of Easter Seals Society of McConnellsburg, a member of Sons of the American Legion, St. Thomas, and a social member of American Legion, McConnellsburg.
He is survived by three daughters, Jane Sheffield and Debra Dick, both of McConnellsburg, and Teresa Miller of Hagerstown; two sisters, Helen Rosenberry of St. Thomas, Pa., and Mildred Schultz of Abbottstown, Pa.; one brother, Melvin Seville of Edenville, Pa.; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Evangel Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Belvy C. White will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, Pa. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Lois G. Baer

Born Dec. 20, 1912, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the Rev. John F. and Almeda Landis Grove.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Adam D. Baer.
She was a member of Cedar Grove Mennonite Church, Greencastle and was active in Frostburg Methodist Church.
She was charter president of Soroptomist Club, president of the Homemakers Club, active in P.T.A. and Chiropractic Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Anna Grace Holloway of Rye, N. H.; two sons, Adam D. Baer, Jr. of Titusville, N.J. and John W. Baer of New Castle, N.H.; two sisters, Ruth West of Edgewater, Md., and Esther Johnson of Chambersburg; three brothers, Dwight Grove and John L. Grove, both of Greencastle, and Ethan Grove of Clinton, Md.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Naomi Shohat.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Donald E. Gabler
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Donald Eugene Gabler, 78, of Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, May 8, 1999, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va., after an extended illness.
Born April 5, 1921, in Mongul, Pa., Franklin County, he was the son of the late Maurice Leroy and Edna Mae Holtry Gabler.
He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot after working there many years. He then worked at Sunset Drive-In on Route 11, Chambersburg.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II in Alaska and Hawaii as a heavy artillery gun crewman.
He was a member of Mongul United Brethren Church, Shippensburg, Pa.
He was a member of American Legion and V.F.W.
He is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Fleda Elaine Hollar Gabler; three daughters, Dianne E. Rohm of Warfordsburg, Pa., Darlene F. King of Chambersburg and Donita R. Peters of Coral Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Virginia Highland and Dorothy Yeatter, both of Shippensburg, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg. The Rev. Frank Mathna will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.

Gladys I. Maun
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Gladys I. She had worked at the former Waynesboro Knitting Mill, the former Stanley Company of Chambersburg, the former Mercersburg Dress Factory and the former ASBA Manufacturing Company of Greencastle, Pa., as a sewing machine operator.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lemasters, Pa.
She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Harry Lackhove American Legion Post 517 of Mercersburg, and International Ladies Garment Workers of America.
She is survived by her husband, George William "Bill" Maun, whom she married
in 1947; one son, Douglas W. Maun of Shippensburg, Pa.; one brother, James Speaks of Waynesboro and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. William Bair and the Rev. Daniel Kelchner will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing.

She worked at Happel's Greenhouse, Wayne Heights in the 1950's.
She was a member of the Wayne Heights Brethren Church.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Fred R. Hammond, Jr; one son, Fred Hammond III of Waynesboro; one sister, Sofia Truslow of Covesville, Va.; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Hunt and Ruby Hunt and three brothers, Whitney Key, Henry Key, and Ernest Key.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The Rev. Harold W. Walton will officiate.
There will be no viewing.

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Ruth M. Smith, 78, formerly of 307 N. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Smith, in 1996.
In her younger years, she worked at Fort Benning, Ga.; Fort Hollenberry, Baltimore; and McGuire Air Force Base in Fort Dix, N.J.
She is survived by a daughter, Fay Kauffman of McConnellsburg; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters; and seven brothers.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg.
