QUINCY, Pa. - Geneva M. Fittry Mosser, 87, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home, formerly a resident of Quincy Village and Greencastle, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, at the nursing home.

Born Nov. 6, 1911, in Needmore, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Irene M. Mellott Fittry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Newton L. Mosser, in 1991. They were married Jan. 2, 1932.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Greencastle.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty DiMichele of Harrisburg, Pa.; one son, Richard Mosser of Lake Placid, Fla.; three brothers, Ernest Fittry of Buffalo, N.Y., Harold Fittry of Chambersburg, Pa., and Willis Fittry of Lemasters, Pa.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. David Armstrong will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Benevolent Care Fund of Quincy United Methodist Home, P.O. Box 217, Quincy, PA 17247 or to First United Methodist Church, 45 N. Washington St., Greencastle, PA 17225.

Harold S. Wise

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Harold S. Wise, 87, a resident of Shook Home, and formerly of 3513 Guilford Springs Road, Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, at the home.

Born April 4, 1912, near St. Thomas, Pa., he was the son of the late George W. Wise and Anna Shuman Wise Bricker.

His wife, Hazel G. Lesher Wise, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1991. They were married Sept. 18, 1934.

He was a carpenter with Rotz Lumber Co. in Chambersburg for 42 years, retiring in 1980.

He was a member of Grace Brethren Church in Chambersburg, where he was an elder, and was active in various other capacities of the church.

He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Allison of Chambersburg; one son, Jerroyl L. Wise of Chambersburg; two sisters, Margaret Stake of Menno Haven, Chambersburg, Pauline Misner of Greencastle, Pa.; one brother, Paul M. Bricker of Chambersburg; one sister, Dorothy Ramer of Chambersburg; and a special friend, Cleta Wenger of Chambersburg.

He was preceded in death by one son, Larry L. Wise; two sisters and one brother.

Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Grace Brethren Church, 315 Edwards Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Craig Manges, the Rev. David Manges and the Rev. Keith Bowers will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in St. Thomas.

Visitation will be at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home in Chambersburg, today from 7 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Brethren Church, 315 Edwards Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Harry B. Newcomer

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Harry B. Newcomer, 78, of 1797 Wisteria Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, at Menno Haven in Chambersburg.

Born Oct. 27, 1920, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Irvin and Iva Spencer Newcomer.

He was a 1938 graduate of Chambersburg High School in Chambersburg.

He was an analyst with LSSA at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, retiring in 1986.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Chambersburg.

He also was a member of BPO Elks Lodge 600, Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, Hume-McNeil-Byers AMVETS Post 224, National Association of Retired Federal Employees 1063 and Falling Spring Chapter 2840 AARP, all in Chambersburg.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Martin Newcomer, whom he married Oct. 21, 1961; one daughter, Donna L. Ford of Waynesboro, Pa.; three sons, Bennett Newcomer of Waynesboro, Thomas L. Newcomer of Chambersburg, and Ronald K. Newcomer of Fayetteville, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Carolyn Heavner of Frederick, Md.; three stepsons, David L. Jones of Fayetteville, Ronald L. Jones of Dagsboro, Del., and Dennis M. Jones of Daytona Beach, Fla.; one brother, Ralph I. Newcomer of Fort Myers, Fla.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1811 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg. The Rev. Stephen W. Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg.

There will be no viewing; however, the family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to St. John's United Church of Christ, 1811 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Dande P. Keast

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Dande Paul Keast, infant son of Michael and Robin Minor Keast of 354 W. He was born May 4, 1999, in Waynesboro.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Megan Keast and Sarah Keast, both of Waynesboro; maternal grandparents, Carol Minor of Waynesboro and Lewis Minor; paternal grandparents, Michael and Terry Keast of Fayetteville, Pa.; and paternal great-grandparents, Rita and Andy Consiglio of Orrtanna, Pa., and Wanda and Dick Smith of Altoona, Pa.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Harbaugh Church Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Visitation will be private.

Arrangements are by Lochstampfor Funeral Home Inc., Waynesboro.

William D. Fish

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - William D. "Bill" Fish, 85, of Renaissance at Penn Hall, formerly of St. Thomas, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, at home following a lengthy illness.

Born March 31, 1914, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late David H. and Alfretta Cooper Fish.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.

He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.

He was a member of Detrich-Brechbill Post 612 American Legion in St. Thomas, Falling Spring Chapter 2840 AARP, a former member of Tuscarora School Authority, past president of St. Thomas Playground Association, and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Chambersburg Toy Mission.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Gillan Fish; one daughter, Jean Diehl of Chambersburg; one son, David G. Fish of Chambersburg; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia M. Fish.

Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. C. Edward Morgan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Gerald B. Donegan

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Gerald Brendin Donegan, 53, of 13081 Welty Road, was pronounced dead Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at his home.

Born Jan. 8, 1946, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Edna E. Kelly Donegan of Williamsport, and the late Thomas E. Donegan.

He was a 1964 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown. After attending Hagerstown Junior College for two years and University of Alabama for one year, he graduated from University of Maryland in 1974 with a degree in business.

He was employed in purchasing, first at Hetzer Construction Co. in Hagerstown and then at Waynesboro Knitting Mill, and finally at Mack Trucks in Hagerstown for 24 years.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1191, Eagles Club Inc., and B.P.O. Elks 731, all in Waynesboro, and Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 in Hagerstown. He also was a member and past president of Waynesboro Jaycees.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Marion L. Mickley Donegan, whom he married March 17, 1973; one daughter, Stacy N. Donegan of Waynesboro; one son, Gerald Donegan Jr. of Waynesboro; two brothers, Terrence Lee Donegan of Hagerstown and Thomas E. Donegan Jr. of Holland, Mich.; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro.
