Born in Mont Alto, she was the daughter of the late George Oscar and Laura A. Reed Heefner.
Her husband, Elwood T. "Ted" Staley, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1994. They were married
May 30, 1942.
She worked at Waynesboro Shoe Factory; then at Mont Alto Shirt Factory as a machine operator. She worked for Mont Alto Nursery part time.
She was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15 Ladies Auxiliary in Waynesboro.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen Mary Hawthorne; and one brother, Wilbur Heefner.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. David L. Keener will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Mont Alto.
There will be no viewing.
Edward L. Sullivan
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Edward Leroy Sullivan, 75, of 5300 Lincoln Way East, Lot 10A, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at his home.
He was born March 11, 1924, in Chambersburg, Pa.
He was employed for 38 years as a shoe and leather craftsman for Johnson Shoe and Leather on the Square in Chambersburg. After retiring, he worked at McDonalds on Lincoln Way East for five years.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army and completed air training command with the Air Force. He received a Good Conduct Medal.
He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Fayetteville.
He was a member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Violet Arlene Miner Sullivan; three daughters, Mary Ann Schultz, Carol Ann Rivera and Tina Sullivan, all of Chambersburg; two sons, Randy Sullivan and Rickie Sullivan, both of Chambersburg; seven stepdaughters, Cindy Hayden of South Hill, Va., Ramona Ewing of Monessen, Pa., Theresa Ewing and Robin Ewing, both of Chambersburg, Carol Ann Ewing of McConnellsburg, Pa., Debbie Reeder and Cindy Reeder, both of Chambersburg; one stepson, Melvin Ewing of Fayetteville; 29 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and a son.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Scott Ogden will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Union Cemetery, Fayetteville, with military services by Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.; and Friday at 1 p.m.
Mary E. Taylor

She was preceded in death by three sons.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. Floyd F. Myers will officiate. Private burial will be in Blacklick Methodist Cemetery in Cambria County, Pa.
Visitation will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Shank "Bean" Omwake, whom she married
in 1928.
She was a 1923 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
She was last employed for K.G. Potter Insurance Agency, Waynesboro, as a secretary. She had been employed at Frick Co., Waynesboro; and in the admissions office of Waynesboro Hospital. She had been society editor for the Record Herald, Waynesboro.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Waynesboro.
She was a member of Mount Vernon Chapter 398 Order of the Eastern Star, Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary and South Chapter 2977 AARP, all of Waynesboro; and National AARP.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy J. Hartle of Chambersburg; one brother, Howard S. Geiselman Jr., of Waynesboro; two grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathrine Danfelt and Florence Kistner; and one brother, Sentman Geiselman.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. James T. Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was a member of South Chapter 2977 AARP, Smithsburg AARP, and Tuesday Morning Bowling League.
She is survived by one sister, Gladys Ferguson, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home, Quincy, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel G. Welty and Iva H. Tharp; one infant sister and one brother, Frank Tharp.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. K. Allan Mummert will officiate. Burial will be in Price's Church Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by one daughter, Geraldine R. Murphy of Noblesville, Ind.; one son, Donald P. Wingert of Harrisburg, Pa.; one brother, Ray C. Zeger of Chambersburg, Pa.; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph S. Zeger.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Michael V. Newman will officiate. Burial will be on Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
