Born Nov. 11, 1951, in Chester, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Robert R. and Mary Kline Cullum.

She was a 1971 graduate of Scotland School for Veteran's Children, Scotland, Pa.

She was formerly employed at Ames Department Store as a cashier and at Dillys Restaurant as a cook, both in Chambersburg.

She attended church at Salvation Army Corps, Chambersburg.

She is survived by two daughters, Naomi L. Ricker of Carlisle, Pa., and Estella M. Wagaman of Fayetteville, Pa.; two sisters, Linda M. Watkins of East Fallowfield, Pa., and Sarah G. Cullum of Newark, Del.; and two nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Captain John T. Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army Corps, 159 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Ross I. Mummert

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Ross I. Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Brandts Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Rick Hostetter and the Rev. Charles Martin will officiate.

Winifred G. Vinson

Born May 14, 1923, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Iva Lurea Stewert Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur S. Vinson Jr., in 1957.

She was employed as a seamstress at Sagner Clothing Manufacturing.

She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by four daughters, Lurea Henry of McConnellsburg, Bonnie Shoop of Neelyton, Pa., Jackie Clark of Fannettsburg, Pa., and Marsha Snyder of Clearville, Pa.; one son, Mark Vinson of Hustontown. Pa.; one sister, Genevieve Smith of Shippensburg, Pa.; two brothers, Edwin Smith of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Glen Smith of California; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, McConnellsburg. The Rev. Belvy White will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Netha R. Snyder

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Netha Ruth Snyder, 92, of 625 Lincoln Way East, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Fulton County Medical Center.

Born June 30, 1906, in Crystal Spring, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Hixson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence S. Snyder, in 1976.

She was retired from H&P store as a sales clerk and had worked at Letterkenny Army Depot during the war.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, McConnellsburg.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two daughters, Doris R. Taylor and Patricia I. Weaver, both of McConnellsburg; and one son, Robert C. Snyder of McConnellsburg; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence Lester Snyder; one sister, Mildred McQuade, and one brother, Herman Hixson.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, McConnellsburg. The Rev. Henry Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Evangeline A. Hess

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Evangeline Anna "Jackie" Hess, 78, of Route 1, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Jan. 2, 1999, at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born April 3, 1920, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Laura Shives Weller.

She was retired from Hancock Motel and Pittman's Grocery. Prior to that she was employed with Sagners, Inc., McConnellsburg.

She was a member of Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church.

She was a volunteer for American Cancer Society of Fulton County.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rolla Hixson Hess; three sons, Dale E. Hess of Shippensburg, Gary A. Hess of Manassas, Va., and Michael L. Hess of Warfordsburg; three sisters, Virginia Barnhart and Azalie Spickler, both of Hagerstown, and Geneva Schartel of Mt. Home, Ark.; one brother, Homer Weller of McLean, Va.; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Amy Johnson and five brothers, Gilbert Weller, Resley Weller, Marshall Weller, Leo Weller, and Edgar Weller.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church. The Rev. John Barlow will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. For the convenience of friends the funeral home will be open Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m.

Esther M. Deardorff Bucher

She is survived by one daughter, Jane Bucher Hoover of Newville, three sons, Ronald Daniel Bucher of Hagerstown, Stephen Paul Bucher of Chambersburg, Pa., and Dean Jerry Bucher of Carlisle; one brother, Dale Deardorff of Shortville, N.Y.; six grandsons; two granddaughters, four great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter and several nieces.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Centerville Lutheran Church, 1874 Walnut Bottom Road, Centerville. The Rev. Jean N. Kuebler will officiate. Burial will be in Bendersville Cemetery, Bendersville, Pa.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
