Born July 16, 1933, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Frederick and Nettie Custer Hepfer.
He was a chef at Wilson College, Chambersburg, retiring in 1995.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Helen N. Helmuth Hepfer, whom he married
March 11, 1958; a daughter, Deborah K. Hepfer of Chambersburg; five sisters, Rosie France of Carlisle, Pa., Ruth Weisgarber and Florence Tice, both of Chambersburg, Violet Vanderau of Waynesboro, Pa., and Dorothy Kennedy of Shippensburg, Pa.; four brothers, Robert Hepfer and John Hepfer, both of Chambersburg, Samuel Hepfer of Fawn Grove, Pa., and Lester Hepfer of Waynesboro; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, with military honors by Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard
Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Harry G. Peiffer
QUINCY, Pa. - Harry G. Peiffer, 86, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home and formerly of 135 S. Potomac St., Waynesboro, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born Sept. 5, 1912, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late William A. and Cora E. Shockey Peiffer.
He was a 1933 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
He was employed by Waynesboro School District at the Snider Avenue School as the custodian for more than 30 years, retiring in 1974. He then was custodian at Grace Brethren Church.
He was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Waynesboro, a member of Men's Sunday School Class and taught Teenagers' Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Elizabeth Baker Peiffer; a daughter, Martha Ann Peiffer of Waynesboro; a son, Harry Mark Peiffer of Fayetteville, Pa.; three grandsons; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Fred Peiffer; two sisters, Carrie Savary and Mary Yingling; and a brother, Elmer Peiffer.
Graveside services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. Pastor Roger K. Myers will officiate.
There will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
Edythe M. Wagner
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Edythe M. Born May 31, 1913, in Edenville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lloyd C. and Iva Miller Stoner.
She was a graduate of Chambersburg High School.
She taught piano and voice in her home.
She was a member of King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg, was a former member of the choir and a founder of the Cherub Choir.
She is survived by her husband, Lester S. Wagner of Piney Mountain; a daughter, Mary Evelyn Fleagle of Chambersburg; a son, Henry F. Wagner of Chambersburg; a sister, Virginia R. Gordon of Greencastle, Pa.; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Revs. Paul B. Baker and Lester F. Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Wallace L. Shoemaker

Born May 18, 1933, in Big Cove Tannery, Pa., he was the son of the late Lawrence and Mamie Gordon Shoemaker.
He was a Protestant.
He is survived by five sisters, Anna McDaid of Hustontown, Pa., Daisy Wishard of Waynesboro, Mary Miller of Smithsburg, Virginia Johnson of Hancock and Nellie Morgan of Newport, Pa.; three brothers, Floyd Shoemaker of Hancock, Lawrence Shoemaker Jr. of Big Cove Tannery and Harvey Shoemaker of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Peck; and a brother, Ray Shoemaker.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, Pa. The Rev. Roger Truax will officiate. Burial will be in Damascus Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 2 p.m.
Robert H. Shifler

Born Sept. 22, 1929, in Washington County, he was the son of the late John C. and Ethel K. Lynch Shifler.
He attended Martinsburg (W.Va.) High School.
He had been employed by Chambersburg Ford Co.; He worked for Chambersburg Motor Parts; and subsequently owned and operated Greenvillage Garage, Greenvillage, Pa., for more than 35 years. He retired in 1994.
He was a member of First Church of God, Chambersburg, and Willing Workers Sunday School Class. He had taught Sunday school and served on the church council.
He was a member of Antique Automotive Club of America; and Mason-Dixon Region Antique Automotive Club of America.
He is survived by his wife, Audra F. Kipps Shifler, whom he married
Sept. 15, 1948; two sons, R. Victor Shifler of Lititz, Pa., and Jeffrey L. Shifler of Chambersburg; three sisters, C. Elizabeth Stevens of Martinsburg, Mary C. Hutton of Hagerstown and Mildred I. Raudabaugh of Chambersburg; two brothers, James C. Shifler of Hagerstown and William E. Shifler of Millsboro, Del.; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at First Church of God, Chambersburg. Pastors Earl E. Mills, Trevor Rosenberry and R. Victor Shifler will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg; and Friday at 9 a.m. at the church.

She was a member of Jesus Loves You Ministries in Shippensburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Candace J. Bonner of Waynesboro, Pa., and Kimberly J. Lightner of Shippensburg; two sons, Stephen V. Lightner and David N. Lightner, both of Chambersburg; a brother, Kenneth Kane of West Chester, Pa.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Jesus Loves You Ministries, 30 N. Fayette St., Shippensburg. Pastor J.R. Wells will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Memorial donations may be made to Shippensburg Senior Center, 115 N. Fayette St., Shippensburg, PA 17257.
