Born March 9, 1942, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Roy Z. and Mildred G. Rebok Butts of Shippensburg, Pa.
She was a 1960 graduate of Shippensburg High School. She was a graduate of Chambersburg Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a member of King Street United Brethren Church, Chambersburg, Good Samaritan Sunday School Class, the church choir and Women's Missionary Fellowship.
She was active in Bible Release Program of CBM Ministries at the King Street Elementary School in Chambersburg; and in Autumn Actions and Joy Coral, both at CBM Ministries.
She was on the board of directors of the LPN School of Nursing Alumni in Chambersburg.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, David E. Burkholder, whom she married
Feb. 15, 1969; a daughter, Tiffany A. Burkholder of Wexford, Pa.; and a son, Eric S. Burkholder of Chambersburg.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at King Street United Brethren Church, 172 E. King St., Chambersburg. The Revs. Patrick B. Jones and Lester F. Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg; and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.

Gerald J. Zeger
MARION, Pa. - Gerald J. Zeger, 62, of P.O. Box 131, Marion, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Nov. 8, 1936, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert Sr. and Nettie Zeger.
He graduated in 1955 from James Buchanan High School.
He was employed by Willard Agri Services in Marion. He retired in 1992 from Mack Trucks after 21 years as a material handler. Earlier, he farmed with Jacob Brake and worked for Mercersburg Builders Supply.
He attended Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro. He was a member of Marion First United Methodist Church, was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent, youth adviser and church custodian.
He was a member and former president of Whirlybird Square Dance Club. He coached Little League and softball teams in Marion.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Reeder Zeger, whom he married
in 1967; one daughter, Ronda Ranalli of Gettysburg, Pa.; one son, Randy A. Zeger of Vienna, Va.; three sisters, Gladys Slichter of Palmyra, Pa., Elizabeth Wharton of Greencastle, and Nancy Richards of McConnellsburg, Pa.; and three brothers, Donald Zeger of Mercersburg, Robert Zeger Jr., of Greencastle, and Frank Zeger of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Anna Mary Heckman Zeger.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg. The Revs. Ray Kipe and Bill Shank will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. and at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, which will be open today from 2 p.m.

Howard E. Souders
TUCSON, Ariz. - Howard Edward Souders, 58, of Tucson, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, March 3, 1999.
Born June 9, 1940, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert H. and Elizabeth R. Long Souders.
He served in the U.S. Navy for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley L. Souders; three sons, Thomas Souders and Blaine Souders, both at home, and Jay Souders serving with the U.S. Navy; a sister, Gail E. Turner of Hagerstown; and two granddaughters.
Private services were held.
Arrangements were by Desert Rose Cremation and Burial, Tucson.
Isaac Ramsburg
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Isaac Ramsburg, 80, of Fallings Springs Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of Trinity House, 25 N. He was the son of the late George Edward and Mary Kolb Ramsburg.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of American Legion Post 239, Cascade; and Owl's Club.
He is survived by two daughters, Laura Hutzell of Waynesboro and Janice Snell of Clear Spring; two stepchildren, Carla Ottaway of Waynesboro and Wayne Gouker of Lebanon, Pa.; two brothers, William Ramsburg of Reisterstown, Md., and Harold Ramsburg of Creagerstown, Md.; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Saylor, Jenny Free and Helena Thayer.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Creagerstown Cemetery, Creagerstown. Ron Free will officiate.
Arrangements are by Stauffer Funeral Home, Thurmont, Md.
Dorothy L. Martin

Born March 5, 1916, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel P. and Clara Alice Garman Bittner.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles W. Messner Sr.
She received her G.E.D. from the state of Maryland.
She was employed as a nurse's aide at Waynesboro Hospital. Prior to retiring in 1970, she was employed as a nurse's assistant at Victor Cullen State Hospital, Sabillasville, Md. She then was employed at Adams County Lutheran Social Services.
She was a member of Jacob's United Church of Christ in Fairfield, the Adult Sunday School Class and Ladies Guild.
She is survived by her second husband, Robert N. Martin Sr., whom she married
Sept. 2, 1949; a daughter, Rebecca J. Dixon of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; two sons, Charles W. Messner Jr. of Sabillasville and Robert N. Martin Jr. of Cascade; a stepdaughter, Louise S. Shafer of Thurmont, Md.; a sister, Mary K. Witmer of Gettysburg, Pa.; two brothers, Samuel Bittner of Frederick, Md., and Howard Bittner of Peru, Ill.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, James E. Messner Jr. in 1998; and five brothers, Robert Bittner, Lester Bittner, Harold Bittner, John Bittner and Harry Bittner.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor William D. Kauffman will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

McClure of Hustontown; two sisters, Linda Saylor of Todd, Pa., and Brenda McClure of Mount Union, Pa.; three brothers, Earl "Eddie" McClure and David McClure, both of Three Springs, Pa., and Glen McClure of Huntingdon, Pa.; and three grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a sister; and a brother.
He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Hustontown.
He was a member of McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Co.; and a life member of Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. The Rev. George Clippinger will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Hustontown.
Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. before the services at the funeral home.
