Born Feb. 12, 1901, she was the daughter of the late Harvey C. and Nancy Catherine "Katie" Smith Clopper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F. McCleaf, in 1975. They were married
Jan. 17, 1918.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro; and a former member of Minnich Bible Class of the church.
She is survived by a daughter, LaRue M. Beard of Waynesboro; a son, A. Fred McCleaf of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, DeMonte L. McCleaf in 1963; three sisters; and a brother.
A memorial service will be Saturday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43 S. Church St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Richard A. Seaks will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
It was her request to have no public viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
Memorial donations may be made to Franklin County Area Agency on Aging, 218 N. Second St., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or Lutheran Home Care Services, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Robert C. Raifsnider Sr.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Robert C. Born Sept. 28, 1912, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late John R. and Mary Jacoby Raifsnider.
He was retired from Pennsylvania Railroad, Hagerstown, after 34 years as a freight conductor. After his retirement he was sexton at Central Presbyterian Church in Chambersburg, retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Chambersburg and Brotherhood Sunday School Class.
He was a member of the Franklin County Chapter of A.A.R.P. 2287, and Loyal Order of Moose 842, both of Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Madelyn Shatzer Raifsnider, whom he married
in 1935; two daughters, Barbara Taylor of Fayetteville, and Bonnie Ramer of Chambersburg; one son, Robert C. Raifsnider Jr. of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Central Presbyterian Church, 40 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg. The Rev. C. Edward Morgan will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Earl E. Punt
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Earl E. Punt, 81, a resident of Falling Springs Nursing Home, Chambersburg, formerly of 557 South Church St., Waynesboro, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, March 1, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Sept. 12, 1917, in Rouzerville, Pa., he was the son of the late Arthur and Marie Eshbaugh Punt.
His wife, Gladys L. Patterson Punt, whom he married

He was employed in his early life at Waynesboro Knitting Mill as a machine operator. He then worked at Pen Mar Park, Pen Mar, Md., Following his discharge from the military, he worked at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, and then at various jobs in the area. Prior to retiring, he worked at Grove Manufacturing, Shady Grove, Pa., in the maintenance department.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He received the Purple Heart.
He was a member of Greencastle Sportsman Association.
He is survived by two daughters, Nancy M. Rose of Waynesboro, and Brenda P. Weber of Zullinger, Pa.; two sons, Earl E. Punt of Tacoma, Wash., and Barry D. Punt of Fayetteville, Pa.; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by one brother, one sister, and two stepbrothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Grove Funeral Home, 50 South Broad St., Waynesboro.
Graveside military services will be conducted by Charles M. Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.

Bobby F. Nicholas

Born Nov. 29, 1926, in Rockingham County, Va., he was the son of the late George William and Ollie Bell Good Nicholas Mason.
He was employed with D.M. Wortz, Waynesboro, as a carpenter, then worked at Brass Foundry in Rouzerville. Then he was a self-employed home builder and worked at Site R near Blue Ridge Summit. Prior to retiring in 1988, he was a carpenter for Oliver Homes, Hagerstown.
He was a member of Hawley Memorial Presbyterian Church, Blue Ridge Summit.
He was a member of Blue Ridge Sportsmen Association, William Max McLaughlin VFW Post 695, Waynesboro, Waynesboro Senior Citizens Center and National A.A.R.P.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Varner of Waynesboro, and Brenda Gilmore of Blue Ridge Summit; one son, George William Nicholas of Blue Ridge Summit; one sister, Odessa Sandridge of Blue Ridge Summit; four grandchildren; and a number of stepbrothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Glenn D. Mason; still-born triplets; one son, Robert Lee Nicholas, one infant brother, George William Nicholas, and one brother, Edsel Good Nicholas.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Robert S. Edmundson will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home.
There will be no public viewing.

J. Robert Kell

Born July 19, 1920, in Shady Grove, Pa., he was the son of the late Roy G. and Mary Stine Kell.
He was a 1938 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
He was retired after 39 years as an engineer/trainman for the former Pennsylvania Railroad and Conrail as an engineer/trainman.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He was an member of King Street United Brethren Church of Chambersburg, serving on the Church Board, as past president and member of Burton's Men's Bible Class, and in various other offices of the church, including volunteer work.
He served on the board of directors of Piney Mountain Home, Fayetteville, Pa., where he also did volunteer work. He was a member of Chambersburg evening Kiwanis Club and of the United Transportation Union.
He enjoyed bowling and was a member of A.A.R.P. and Golden Age Bowling Leagues at Lincoln Lanes, Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Jean E. Keller Kell, whom he married
in 1941; two daughters, Marjorie J. Christine of York, Pa., and Ann E. Stumbaugh of Chambersburg; two sons, James L. Kell of York, and Richard L. Kell of Chambersburg; one sister, Shelda J. Neubaum of Chambersburg; one brother, George R. Kell of Wyomissing, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at King Street United Brethren Church, 172 East King St., Chambersburg. The Rev. Patrick Jones and the Rev. Lester Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church and also on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to King Street United Brethren Church, 172 East King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to Hospice of The Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 1720.
