Born June, 18, 1925, in Hancock, he was the son of the late Earl E. and Lucy B. Norris Hensley.
He was employed by Mack Trucks, Hagerstown, and JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, Pa.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob, McConnellsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Funk Hensley, whom he married
in 1968; two sons, David L. Hensley of Greencastle, Pa., and Michael L. Hensley of Hagerstown; four stepdaughters, Shirley Strait and Doris Oakman, both of McConnellsburg; Karen Barnhart and Sandra Johnson, both of Harrisonville; one stepson, Howard Funk of McConnellsburg; five sisters, Lucy DeHaven of Baltimore, Dolly Hurst of Florida, Margaret Kokoszka of McConnellsburg, Gladys Morris and Clara Clark, both of Needmore, Pa.; three brothers, Robert E. Hensley of Hagerstown, Herbert Hensley of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Carl Hensley of Needmore; 25 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Charles W. Hensley.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Supreme Council of the House of Jacob, McConnellsburg. The Bishop K. Paul Bowers and the ADV. PR. ELD. Clarence Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Supreme Council of the House of Jacob Cemetery, McConnellsburg.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Sipes Funeral Home, Harrisonville. The funeral home will be open from 2 p.m.; and Wednesday at noon at Supreme Council of the House of Jacob.
Helen M. Mitchell
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Helen Margaret Newcomer Mitchell, 82, of Piney Mountain Home, and formerly of 37 C. V. Born Aug. 23, 1916, in Zullinger, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Daniel Roy and Carrie Esther Fox Newcomer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Leonard Mitchell, in 1989. They were married
April 22, 1939.
She was a housewife.
She was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Waynesboro.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald G. Mitchell of Waynesboro and William L. Mitchell of Mont Alto, Pa.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Lochstampfor Funeral Home, corners of South Church Street and West Second Street, Waynesboro. The Rev. Roger Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Prices Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Jacob M. Bonebrake Jr.
ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Jacob M. Bonebrake Jr., 74, of Abbottstown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Hanover Hospital.
Born Dec. 19, 1924, in Shady Grove, Pa., he was the son of the late Jacob M. Sr. and Olive G. Monn Bonebrake.
He was roadmaster for Western Maryland Railroad for 43 years, retiring in 1985.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of Yardmasters of America; Abbottstown Lions Club; New Oxford Social and Athletic Club; Hanover Elks; Richard S. Gross 8896 VFW; Hanover American Legion, and Abbottstown Fire Company. He was affiliated with Valley Little League in Hagerstown; was a board member of Eastern Adams Little League; and a member of Spring Grove American Legion Baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Hess Bonebrake; two daughters, Jennifer L. Smith of Hagerstown and Lorri G. Bishard of Abbottstown; three sons, Jeffere M. Bonebrake and James T. Harp Jr., both of Hagerstown, and Greg Bonebrake of New Oxford, Pa.; a sister, Peggy Herr of Hagerstown; a brother, Paul Bonebrake of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Abbottstown. The Rev. Norbert Mamet will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Church Cemetery.
Viewing will be Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Feiser Funeral Home, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford; and Friday at noon at the church.

Edith V. Wagaman
MONT ALTO, Pa. - Edith Viola Wagaman, 90, of Mont Alto, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Piney Mountain Nursing Home, Fayetteville, Pa.
Born Dec. 20, 1908, near Cashtown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Conrad DeGroft and Margaret Elnora Kump.
She received a bachelor's degree in Education from Shippensburg (Pa.) College; and a master's degree in special education from Western Maryland College, Westminster, Md.
She was an educator for 44 years, including 18 teaching special education and as a principal. She was the first woman president of the Waynesboro Area Teachers Association; and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma international society of woman educators. She retired in 1973.
The first woman council member in the area, she was a Mont Alto Council member and council president at various times for more than 20 years, resigning her office in 1992 for health reasons.
She was a parishioner of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Mont Alto.
She was a member-at-large of Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wayne Hartman Wagaman; a daughter, Margaret Anna Novicki of Hawthorne, N.J.; two grandsons, Stephen Novicki of Rockledge, Fla., and Eric Novicki of Mason, Ohio; and five great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service was held at the DeGroft family gravesite, in Flohr's Church Cemetery, McKnightstown, Pa.
Memorial donations may be made to Pennsylvania State University, University Development, Orthopedic Department, P.O. Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033.
Arrangements were by Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
Maxine C. Marshall

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Marshall, in 1988.
She retired in 1981 from Central Fulton School District, Pa., where she worked as a cook for 28 years.
She was a member of Knobsville United Methodist Church.
She was a member of AARP.
She is survived by one daughter, Jan Mellott of McConnellsburg; one son, Jerry Marshall of Chambersburg; one brother, Marvin Layton of McConnellsburg; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St., McConnellsburg. The Rev. George Clippinger will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 2 p.m.
Ernest F. Harbaugh Sr.
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Ernest F. He attended St. Andrew Catholic School in Waynesboro and was a 1937 graduate of Washington Township High School.
He retired in 1980 from Landis Machine Co. with 17 years in the Methods Department.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army from 1941-1963. He retired as a master sergeant.
He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, and was an usher.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 2068, member and past commander of Veteran of Foreign Wars William Max McLaughlin Post 695, member of A.T.H. & L. Fire Co.; and Brothers of the Brush, all in Waynesboro. He was a member of Cascade American Legion Post 239.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Arvetta L. Decker Harbaugh; three daughters, Shirley L. Sims of Laurel, Md., Patricia A. Shaffer of Hagerstown and Pamela F. Harbaugh of Waynesboro; two sons, Ernest F. Harbaugh Jr. of Hagerstown and Stephen J. Harbaugh of Cascade; two sisters, Mary L. Hall of Virginia Beach and Margaret E. Beach of Okeechobee, Fla.; three brothers, John R. Harbaugh of Bel Air, Ohio, Joseph E. Harbaugh of Waynesboro and Clarence D. Harbaugh of Parma, Ohio; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, James A. Harbaugh, George E. Harbaugh and Robert B. Harbaugh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Thomas J. Hemler will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade, with military services by Charles M. Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard of Chambersburg, Pa.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m.
