Born Dec. 26, 1915 in Chambersburg, she was the granddaughter of the late Samuel H. and Margaret Guyer Gilbert who raised her as a daughter.

She retired from the former Stanley Company, Chambersburg in 1978 and had also worked at the former Inter Woven Stocking Company.
She attended King Street United Brethren Church, Chambersburg, and she was a member of Golden Links Sunday School Class.
She was a member of Golden Age Club, Piney Mountain Home Auxiliary, and Auxiliary of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She is survived by her cousin, Grace E. Ewan who was also raised with Mabel by their grandparents; and by a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Gilbert.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 33 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Lester F. Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
There will be no public viewing.

Charles H. Barnhart
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Charles H. Barnhart, 71, of 1109 Cider Press Road, Chambersburg, and a resident of ManorCare Health Services, Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Sept. 6, 1927, in Coseytown, Pa., he was the son of the late Wilbur A. and Mary Cosey Barnhart.
He was a 1946 graduate of Greencastle High School.
He retired in 1994 from Keystone Ford. He worked at Hoachlander Ford then Greencastle Ford, all of Chambersburg. He also worked at Frick Company in Waynesboro, Pa., and then for Washington National Insurance Company in Chambersburg for 16 years as an insurance agent.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army stationed in Germany.
He was a member of King Street United Brethren Church of Chambersburg, where he was a member of L.R. Rife Sunday School Class and had served as its class president and secretary.
He was a member of Greencastle-Antrim Lions Club for 30 years, and a former member of Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty L. Elliott Barnhart; one daughter, Carolyn E. Cohen of Philadelphia; one brother, Donald E. Barnhart of Chambersburg; one step-brother, James Brewer of Florida; two grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Elwood D. Barnhart and his step-mother, France Barnhart.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, Pa. The Rev. Patrick Jones and the Rev. Lester Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of King Street United Brethren Church, 172 East King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Rose Marie A. Fignar
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Rose Marie A. Born Dec. 7, 1935, in Tuscarora, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Amandus and Mary Bonebeger Hill.
She was a graduate of Tamaqua High School, Tamaqua, Pa.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church of Greencastle, Pa.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Joseph Fignar, whom she married
in 1956; four sons, Joseph Thomas Fignar of Mercersburg, Pa., Thomas John Fignar of Williamson, Pa., Robert J. Fignar of Ft. Loudon, Pa., and John Joseph Fignar of Greencastle;. three sisters, Theresa Milot of Middleport, Pa., Patsy Jurik of Hackensack, N.J., and Betty Hoffman of Weatherly, Pa.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Cecilia O'Donnell, Mary Graaf, and Joan Jurik; one brother, John Hill; and three infant daughters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church, 385 S. Ridge Avenue, Greencastle, Pa. The Rev. Joseph L. Stahura will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 at Harold Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. A Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Franklin County Unit, 452 East King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Born Oct. 21, 1943, in Amaranth, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Jessie Mellott Clevenger.
She attended Southern Fulton High School.
She was employed with Four Seasons Restaurant, Town Hill, as a cook for 22 years.
She was a member of Whips Cove United Methodist Church, Whips Cove, Pa.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Decker, whom she married
in 1959; two daughters, Debra Hixon, and Tracey Deck, both of Warfordsburg; one son, Jeffrey Decker of Gaylord, Mich.; a special family member, Glenda Wolfe; four sisters, Adriene Palmer of Warfordsburg, Mildred Powers of Big Pool, June Smith of Wolcott, N.Y. and Bonnie Smith of North Rose, N.Y.; four brothers, Jack Clevenger of Newark, N.Y., Ivan Clevenger of Warfordsburg, Billy Clevenger of Lyons, N.Y., and Ray Clevenger of North Rose; five grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Carnell and one brother, Dale Clevenger.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Jerusalem Christian Church, Warfordsburg. The Rev. Delmas Bard and the Rev. Jerry Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in the church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock and one hour prior to the service at the church. For the convenience of friends the funeral home will be open today from 2 to 9 p.m.
Matilda L. Bumbaugh
QUINCY, Pa. - Matilda L. Minnich Bumbaugh, 86, of Quincy United Methodist Nursing Home, and formerly of 21 Mount Vernon Terrace, Waynesboro, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, March 15, 1999, in the nursing home.
Born Sept. 17, 1912, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Earla Mae Muth Minnich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Bumbaugh, in 1963. They were married
in 1935.
She was a 1930 graduate of Waynesboro High School and a 1931 graduate of Waynesboro Business College.
She was employed as a nurse's assistant at Quincy United Methodist Home, retiring in 1975. She previously was employed in the ticket office of Waynesboro Knitting Mill.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro.
She was a member of Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary, National AARP and North Chapter of AARP 739.
She is survived by a son, J. Gary Bumbaugh of Carlisle, Pa.; two sisters, Eleanor M. Benchoff and Delores J. Carson, both of Waynesboro; three brothers, Emory C. Minnich, Donald C. Minnich, and Reginald R. Minnich, all of Waynesboro; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Richard A. Seaks will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43 S. Church St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
