BERWICK, Pa. - The Rev. Born Feb. 22, 1902 in York, Pa., he was the son of the late George W. and Carrie Landis Baughman.

He received his preacher's license in 1927 and was ordained an elder in 1931. He studied at the Evangelical School of Theology in Reading, Pa., and Crozier Seminary of Philadelphia.
He served in many churches over 43 years in Dorsey, Md., Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Berwick, Altoona, Pa., and Montoursville, Pa. He retired from St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in Hagerstown in 1970. He served as a guest speaker and supply preacher in the Berwick area during his retirement.
He led the construction of two new educational units, one new parsonage, and three new churches, including St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Berwick.
He was a professional photographer in Altoona, where he operated Penn Photo Studio.
He was director of Audio-Visual Aids in the former Susquehanna Conference of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, where he also served on the Board of Christian Education and as treasurer of Berwick Ministerium for five years.
He was a member of Baltimore Conference of United Methodist Church and affiliated with Bower Memorial United Methodist Church, Berwick.
He was a member of the Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Howard, Md., for more than 60 years, Valley of Bloomsburg Caldwell Consistory and president of Berwick Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Geneva E. Schott Traugh; one daughter, Jeanetta M. Baughman of York, Pa.; two sons, Rev. Warren L. Baughman Jr. of Berwick and Harold E. Baughman of Jersey Shore, Pa.; three stepchildren, Romayne Donato of Reading, the Rev. Mary Lou Hall of Bedford, Pa., and Neale Traugh of Sandersville, Ga.; one brother, S. Fred Baughman of New Oxford, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 16 siblings, a daughter, Janet, who was a twin to Jeanetta, and a stillborn daughter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Bower Memorial United Methodist Church, East Second and Pine streets, Berwick. The Rev. Barry C. Robison will officiate. Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelchner-McMichael Funeral Home, 119-21 E. Third St., Berwick, and Wednesday from 12:30 until the time of service at the church.
Masonic Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home by Knapp Lodge 462 of Berwick.
Chester H. Foreman
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Chester H. Foreman, 88, of 9761 Circle Drive, Chambersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, March 21, 1999, at his home.
Born Jan. 22, 1911, in Edenville, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Annie Johns Foreman.
He was a former farmer; and last worked for T. B. Woods.
He was a veteran of the 8th Air Force 364th Fighter Group during World War II.
He was a life member of D.A.V.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Burkholder Foreman, whom he married
in 1950; one daughter, Jane L. Foreman of Middleburg, Va.; two sons, Stephen C. Foreman and Bruce A. Foreman, both of Edenville.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, Pa. The Rev. John Rauhut will officiate.
Arrangements are by Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, St. Thomas.
Randy M. Hamil
MOUNT POCONO, Pa. - Randy Mitchell Hamil, 46, of P.O. Box 525, Mount Pocono, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at his home.
Born Feb. 12, 1953, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Bruce Garland and Helen Jean Hamil.
He was a machinist.
He is survived by three daughters, Debbie Sue Hamil Crumbly of Jacksonville, N.C., and Megin Jo Chilcote and Michele Jean Hamil, both of McConnellsburg; one sister, Joyce Brennan of McConnellsburg; three grandchildren and a niece.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sipes Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Pa. The Rev. George Clippinger will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, Pa.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Thomas E. Brannon
SEWICKLEY, Pa. - The Rev. Thomas Edward Brannon, 79, of Sewickley, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, March 19, 1999, at his home.
Born Oct. 14, 1919, in Vanclevesville, W.Va., he was the son of the late Bernie and Vallie Frances Jackson Brannon.
He was a 1939 graduate of Sumner-Ramer School. He studied Fine Arts at Carnegie Tech and the University of Pennsylvania.
He worked for U.S. Steel as a safety inspector for 35 years, retiring in 1981.
He was ordained a minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church and received a Certificate of Merit from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He held pastorates in Allegheny and Beaver counties, Pa., for more than 30 years.
He served in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps during World War II as a chaplain's assistant.
His book on African-American history, "Times to be Remembered, " was published in 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Opelia Brannon; one daughter, Nanette Kirk Brannon of Sewickley; two sons, Jeffrey Niles Brannon of Lebanon, Pa., and Dr. Thomas Edward Brannon of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Walter Jacob Brannon of Baltimore; three granddaughters and one cousin.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Kirk Brannon.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Alfred E. Statesman will officiate. Burial will be in Douglas Grove Cemetery with military graveside services by Newton D. Baker Post 896 and Berkeley Post 14 American Legion.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at noon at the funeral home.
Hazel B. Rauch
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Hazel B. Rauch, 91, of 2765 Jack Road, and formerly of Arcadia, Calif., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, March 22, 1999, at Shippensburg Health Care Center, Shippensburg, Pa.
Born Dec. 20, 1907, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Joseph V. and Hazel Crisman Harris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Keith Rauch, in 1995. They were married
in September 1927.
She was of the Episcopal faith.
She is survived by a son, Carl E. Rauch of Chambersburg; three granddaughters, Thyra Rauch of Raleigh, N.C., Karla Grove of Shippensburg and Krista Skowbo of Winchester, Va.; two grandsons, Todd Rauch and John Lowery, both of Baltimore; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Gulich, in 1983.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Richard A. Randall will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Calif.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
