Born Oct. 2, 1909, in Newton Grove, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Lewis Gregory and Cora Underwood Gregory.

She was formerly employed for Ernst Construction Co., Washington, D.C., as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg, where she volunteered daily in the rectory for 10 years.
She was a member of Legion of Mary, Colombian Ladies, American Association of Retired Persons, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and was instrumental in setting up both the volunteer services of Contact and Integrated Transportation Services in Chambersburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Jacquelyn Campbell of Chambersburg; one adopted daughter, Rose I. McHenry of St. Charles, Ill.; three sisters, Ann Baker of Duncannon, Pa., Agatha Spates of Washington, D.C., and Marie Hammett of Wheaton, Md.; and three adopted grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and seven brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Monsignor Thomas R. Brenner will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Md.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
Recitation of the rosary will be held Monday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to the charity of one's choice.
Mary L. Weller
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Mary L. Weller, 86, formerly of 12211 Buchanan Trail West, Mercersburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg.
Born Oct. 27, 1912, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Lewis A. and Anna Mary Heimel Schmidt.

She was employed at the former R & G Department Store and as a lifeguard at the former Hagerstown City Municipal Pool. She also helped her husband in the operation of their dairy farm near Mercersburg.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mercersburg, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, a Bible School teacher, and as a member of King's Daughters Adult Sunday School Class.
She was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Hagerstown, where she was active in Luther League and choir.
She was a member of Greencastle A.A.R.P, and was active in Mercersburg area Meals on Wheels and Red Cross Bloodmobile.
She is survived by two daughter, Christina L. Paylor of Chambersburg, and Mary J. Bohn of Halifax, Va.; one son, L. Alfred Weller Jr., of Mercersburg; four grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Jay M. Bohn and the Rev. W. David Kent will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund, 8 Linden Avenue, Mercersburg, PA 17236.
Edwin R. Bingaman
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Edwin R. Bingaman, 60, of 5188 Patton Bridge Road, Greencastle, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, at his home.
Born Oct. 2, 1938, in Antrim Township, Pa., he was the son of the late John J. and E. Pauline Starliper Bingaman.
He was a 1956 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School.
He retired in 1998 from Teledyne Landis Machine Co., Waynesboro, Pa., after 30 years. He worked at Snider's Elevator in Williamson, Pa., and at Corning Glass Works, Greencastle.
He was a member of Ebenezer "Guitners" United Brethren Church near Greencastle.
He farmed.
He is survived by his wife, Bonita M. Mellinger Bingaman, whom he married
in 1961; three daughters, Joyce M. Arnold of York, Pa., Diane M. Bingaman, at home, and Connie S. Kauffman of Greencastle; one son, Richard L. Bingaman of Cockeysville, Md.; one sister, Patsy J. Peiffer of Greencastle; two brothers, Robert H. Bingaman and Lloyd E. Bingaman, both of Greencastle; his stepmother, Margaret Bingaman of Greencastle; four grandchildren, and two stepgrandsons.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg. The Rev. Ralph L. Fry Jr. will officiate.
There will be no viewing.

Lyman L. Statler
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Lyman L. Born Sept. 19, 1908, in Antrim Township, Pa., he was the son of the late David A. and Clara Hawbaker Statler.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Madelyn E. Walck Statler, in 1981.
He drove a tanker truck for Gulf Oil Co.; and then farmed on Stonebridge Road in Greencastle, retiring in 1977.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Calvary Bible Church of Greencastle.
He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1599; and American Legion Post 46, both of Chambersburg.
He is survived by his second wife of 16 years, Mary Pensinger Picking Statler; a daughter, Janet Pertesses of Baltimore; a stepdaughter, Delores Kissel of Harrisburg, Pa.; a stepson, Donald Picking of Marion, Pa.; two sisters, Evelyn Sellers of Menno-Haven of Chambersburg and Arlene Lipper of Shippensburg, Pa.; three grandsons; two great-grandchildren; stepgrandchildren; and stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwendolyn S. Wilson; a stepdaughter, Janice Shanholtz; two sisters; two brothers; and a grandson.
A memorial service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church, 3845 Buchanan Trail West, Greencastle. The Rev. Glen A. Miller will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
There will be no public viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

She was a 1928 graduate of Waynesboro Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a registered nurse at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.
She is survived by three sons, Gerald M. Rensch of North East, Md., Ronald W. Rensch of Honolulu and Wayne A. Rensch of Harleysville, Pa.; a sister, Lola Bartle of Hagerstown; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Geneva Butz will officiate. Burial will follow in Norland Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
