Born Oct. 21, 1914, in Rogers, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Louella Allison Louthan.
She was preceded in death by her first husband. Harold Pugh, in 1968. They were married
in 1942.
She was a homemaker, and taught school in Nebraska.
She was a 1932 graduate of Kimble High School, Kimble, Neb.
She was a member of Greencastle Presbyterian Church, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.
She was a member and past president of Greencastle-Antrim Senior Woman's Club, Greencastle-Antrim Loyal Daughters, Greencastle-Antrim Lioness Club and Greencastle-Antrim Women's Fellowship.
She helped handicapped children at the Franklin Learning Center, Chambersburg, and delivered Meals on Wheels. She participated in Pennsylvania and Franklin County Senior Olympics, and won medals.
She is survived by her second husband, Frank S. Chamberlin; three stepdaughters, Patricia Hoke of Winchester, Va., Bonnie Bumbaugh of Fayetteville, Pa., and Beverly Davis of Madison, Ohio; one stepson, Jack Chamberlin of Kemper, Texas; four sisters, Elsie Kelly of Vista, Calif., Irene Tomish of Bushnell, Neb., Alma Bunyard of Kansas City, Mo., and Marilyn Ashby of Gulfport, Miss.; 14 step-grandchildren, and 21 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Greencastle Presbyterian Church, 57 W. Baltimore St., Greencastle. The Rev. Rawley Boone and the Rev. Daniel Kelchner will officiate. Burial will be in Prices Church Cemetery, near Waynesboro, Pa., at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Organ Fund or Building Fund of Greencastle Presbyterian Church, 57 W. Baltimore St., Greencastle, PA 17225; or to Hospice of The Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Arrangements are by Harold M. Zimmerman and Son, Greencastle.
Ella M. McElwain

Born Nov. 21, 1926, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. Snyder and Helen Gipe Warren.
She was a graduate of Chambersburg High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Chambersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert R. McElwain; one daughter, Bonnie K. Stahl of Chambersburg; one son, Herbert P. McElwain of Chambersburg; nine half-sisters, Doris Heberling, and Shirley Lindsay, both of Chambersburg, Joann Duncan and Patsy Craig, both of Shippensburg, Pa., Betty Exline of Hancock, Helen Miller of Lemoyne, Pa., Jo Henry of Landisburg, Pa., and Juanita Burkett and Connie Gipe, both of Newville, Pa.; one half-brother, Richard Gipe of Newberg, Pa.; one aunt; one uncle; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Snyder.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Neal O. Hively will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Helen L. Jones
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Helen L. Jones, 81, of 4164 Funk Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at U.S. 30 in Hamilton Township, Pa., as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Born June 20, 1917, in Belfast Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William E. and Nellie Garland Deshong.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claire V. Jones, in 1985.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty L. Covert of St. Thomas, Pa.; a son, Ronald L. Jones of St. Thomas; a brother, Norman Deshong of Orlando, Fla.; two half-sisters, Anna Mae Hays of Fort Loudon, Pa., and Donna Spidle of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne V. Jones and Raymond D. Jones; a brother, and a grandson.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Ralph L. Fry Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home; and on Friday at 9 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Christine M. Raifsnider
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Christine M. Raifsnider, 35, of 262 W. Born Dec. 28, 1963, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Kathleen Schilser.
She was a customer service representative for Citicorp in Hagerstown.
She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Chambersburg, Pa.
She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Raifsnider, whom she married
Dec. 10, 1994; two sons, William R. Raifsnider of Hanover, Pa., and Justin A. Conrad at home; two brothers, David A. Schisler and Michael A. Schisler, both of Hanover; cousins; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Kenneth E. Wenger will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
There will be no viewing; however, the family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Lorraine T. Diffenbaucher
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Lorraine T. She was a 1944 graduate of Waynesboro High School and attended Waynesboro Business College.
She was employed as a typist in Foreign Sales by Landis Machine Co. in Waynesboro for more than 37 years.
She had been active in Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church of Waynesboro.
She is survived by her husband of more than 51 years, Martin L. Diffenbaucher Jr.; one sister, Rosalie Funk Miller of Waynesboro; one stepbrother, Franklin Funk of Mont Alto, Pa.; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. and the Rev. Jaye M. Bartle will officiate. Burial will be in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
