Born Feb. 12, 1920, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Rev. Ebbert and Alta West Stayman.
He was last employed part time at Sellers TV and Appliances, Chambersburg for six years. He was a farmer for 23 years in the Chambersburg area and he was a sales representative for Clugston Implement Company for 12 years and for the former Chambersburg Implement Company for 15 years.
He was a member of Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg.
He was a member of Church Hospitality Committee, former Sunday School teacher, former Sunday School Superintendent and member of Church Road at the Green Springs Brethren in Christ Church, Newville, Pa.
He was a well-known chalk artist in many of the Brethren in Christ Churches in the area.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred C. Pool Horn Stayman; two daughters, Joanne E. Hock, of East Earl, Pa., and Betty J. Alleman, of Chambersburg; three sons, Robert E. Stayman of Hagerstown, Rich L. Stayman of Kamiah, Idaho, and Ron W. Stayman of Chambersburg; three step-daughters, Iavona Gutshall of Newville, Valencia Hummelsine of Odenton, Md., and Darlene Black of Roxbury, Pa.; two step-sons, Larry G. Horn of Upper Strasburg, Pa., and Leonard L. Horn of Shippensburg, Pa.; one sister, Elva Gutshall of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, 7041 Cumberland Highway, Chambersburg. The Rev. Kevin Witter and the Rev. Marlin Ressler will officiate. Burial will be in Air Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church.

Harvey L. Dentler
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Harvey L. Dentler, 84, of 13803 Grant Shook, Greencastle, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, in Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Nov. 6, 1914, in Antrim Township, Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Leslie L. and Martha Lingamfelter Dentler.
He was employed for 38 years at Teledyne Landis Machine Company, Waynesboro, retiring in 1979.
He attended Community Pentecostal Church near Chambersburg.
He was the oldest resident of Worleytown, Pa.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna C. Rotz Dentler; one daughter, Mary C. Overcash of Chambersburg; three sons, Harold L. Dentler of State Line, Pa., Samuel E. Dentler of Greencastle and Leonard C. Dentler of Mont Alto, Pa.; one brother, Paul Dentler of Hagerstown; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Dentler; and two infant brothers, Glenn Dentler and John Dentler.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. William DeHart and the Rev. John Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Shank's Church of the Brethren Cemetery near Greencastle.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bessie M. Rock
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Bessie M. Rock, 94, a resident of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, and formerly of Lemar Road, Mercersburg, Pa., and Kasiesville, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born Dec. 4, 1904, in Bino, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Daniel Martin and Martha Ellen Bitner Rubeck.

She helped her late husband on the family farm near Mercersburg in the Kasiesville area. She also worked at Mercersburg Dress Factory for 15 years.
She was a member of Greencastle Church of the Brethren, where she was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class. She also helped with Dorcas People of the church; who did sewing and making quilts.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Greencastle Church of the Brethren, 36 S. Carlisle Street, Greencastle. The Rev. Robert Thacker will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Building Fund of the Greencastle Church of the Brethren, 36 S. Carlisle Street, Greencastle, PA 17225.
B. Verdeen Houpt

Born Dec. 27, 1911, in the Bridgeport, Md. area, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Julianne Elizabeth Weller Houpt.
He was employed at Landis Tool Company, starting in 1935 as an assembler. He retired in 1975 after 40 years of service.
He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro, where he served as an usher.
He was a member of A.T.H. & L. Fire Company, Waynesboro for over 50 years, Waynesboro Chapter 739 A.A.R.P., the National A.A.R.P, Eagles Club, Inc., and a social member of William Max McLaughlin V.F.W. Post 695, all of Waynesboro.
He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Katherine S. Selby Houpt, whom he married
in 1937; one sister, Louisa Fishack of Smithsburg; one brother, Merle Houpt of Brandon, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Houpt.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro. The Rev. Richard A. Seaks will officiate. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
There will be no viewing.

He was employed at The Frog and Switch Manufacturing Co., Carlisle, Pa., as a sand mixer in the foundry for 45 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany.
He was a member of Durff-Kuhn Post 6168, VFW, Oscar Hykes Post 223, American Legion, both of Shippensburg and of Local Union 4442, AFL-CIO.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gladys L. Adams Ott, one daughter, Lori J. Gallo of Shippensburg, three sons, Kenneth E. Ott, Sr., Dennis L. Ott and Danny W. Ott, all of Shippensburg; one sister, Daisy Allen of Shippensburg; one brother, Paul B. Ott of Shippensburg; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Foglesanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King Street, Shippensburg. The Rev. George D. Strayer Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Military graveside services will be conducted by Shippensburg VFW and American Legion posts.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence H. Miller, whom she married
in 1969; one daughter, Robin Morrison of Warfordsburg; one sister, Angelene Mannon of Hagerstown; two brothers, Jason Faith of Warfordsburg, and Donald Faith of Hagerstown; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Priscilla Atkins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Supreme Council of the House of Jacob, Berm Road, Hancock. The Bishop K. Paul Bowers will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery at the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock. The funeral home will be open from 2 p.m.
