GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Daniel Lloyd Rowe, 85, of 43 Orchard Circle, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at his home.
Born Aug. 5, 1913, in Pinesburg, he was the son of the late Ira W. and Julia Prudence Shank Rowe.
He was a 1932 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, seeing action in the Pacific, European and African theaters.
He was employed by Charlton Brothers Transportation, Hagerstown, as a tractor-trailer operator, retiring after 41 years.
He was a member of Calvary Bible Church of Greencastle.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 992; Joseph C. Herbert American Legion Post 222 of Clear Spring, and was a founding member and past president of the posts' Last Man's Club. He was a member of Chambersburg B.P.O.E. 600; and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife of more than 26 years, Neddie N. Rowe, a stepson, Marlin Niner of Nashville, Tenn.; six sisters, Louise Schnebly of Clear Spring, Lelia Belle Shank of Hagerstown, Winifred Guch of Annandale, Va., Stella Ann Myers of Huntsville, Ala., Leathean Rowe of Thomaston, Ga., and Helen Rose Rawls of Atlanta; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. Glen Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, with military graveside honors by Chambersburg VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Building Fund of Joseph C. Herbert American Legion Post 222, P.O. Box 158, Clear Spring, MD 21722.
Dorothy I. Rafftesaeth
HARRISBURG, Pa. - Dorothy I. Rafftesaeth, 93, formerly of Harrisburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at Frederick Health Care Center, Frederick, Md.
Born May 28, 1905, in Annville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Menno and Alice Horst Light.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M. Paul Rafftesaeth.
She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg.
She is survived by a daughter, Alice Tritt of Myersville, Md.; two sons, Benjamin Rafftesaeth of Las Vegas and James Rafftesaeth of Cape May, N.J.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday at noon at Hill Church Cemetery, Cleona, Pa. Pastor Larry L. Lehman will officiate.
Arrangements are by Ricketts Funeral Home, Myersville.
James M. Siegrist
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - James M. "Jim" Siegrist, 45, of 7772 Anthony Highway, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born July 16, 1953, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Charles E. and Dorothy D. Gardner Siegrist of Quincy, Pa.
He was a 1971 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School; and a 1975 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in psychology.
He had been employed by O.S.I. Occupational Services Inc. in Waynesboro; Washington County Association of Retarded Citizens as activity center director; Victor Cullen Center as coordinator of special programs. Prior to retiring on disability in 1994, he worked as activities director at Rosewood Center in Owings Mills, Md.
He was a member of St. Stephen United Church of Christ in Cascade.
He was a member of Penn State Alumni Association, Waynesboro Fish and Game Association and American Diabetes Association. He formerly was an emergency medical technician with Waynesboro Ambulance Squad.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Mae A. Siegrist of Quincy, with whom he had been living; one daughter, Carrie L. Martz of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.; three sisters, Lisa K. Siegrist of Leesburg, Va., Lori A. Siegrist of Waynesboro and Lynn M. Dick of Blue Ridge Summit; three brothers, David R. Siegrist, Mark E. Siegrist and John C. Siegrist, all of Waynesboro; one granddaughter; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Kelly L. Crenshaw will officiate. Burial will be in Quincy Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

James C. Miller

Born Sept. 25, 1931, in Bedford, Pa., he was the son of the late John Irvin and Margaret Rita Wertz Miller.
He was a pipe fitter with Bethlehem Steel Ship Yards in Baltimore. He also had been employed with Maryland Drydock in Baltimore.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene L. Ellis Miller; two daughters, Wendy Sue Miller-Williams and Amber Michelle Burns; four sons, Michael R. Miller-Williams, James Richard Miller, Joseph Allen Miller and John Edward Miller; two sisters, Shirley Louise Smith and Agnes Jane Bowman; and a brother, William Eugene Miller.
He was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Horace E. Derr will officiate. Burial will be in Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford, Pa.
There will be no visitation.
Clifford Bishop

Born March 7, 1925, in Fulton County, Pa., he was the son of the late Alonza and Reba Bowers Bishop.
He was a member of Black Oak Mennonite Church, Warfordsburg.
He is survived by one sister, Evelyn Newkirk of Hancock; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Newton Bishop and Thurman Bishop.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock. The Rev. Clyde Moseman will officiate. Burial will be in Black Oak Mennonite Cemetery, Warfordsburg.
A viewing will be at the funeral home from noon to 2 p.m. today.
Ruby Trace
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Ruby Trace, 69, of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of 159 Highland Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born March 17, 1929, in South Shields, England, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Florence May Morant Squire.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Church of England; and recently attended Otterbein United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, Pa.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Trace, whom she married
July 4, 1953; two sons, John W. Trace and Kenneth D. Trace, both of Chambersburg; two sisters, Ada White and Rita Briskell, both of England; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 2, at 1 p.m. at Otterbein United Methodist Church, Fayetteville.
There will be no viewing. It was her wish to be cremated.
