Born July 18, 1922, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Millard E. and Beatrice V. Stoops Rock.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn M. Mull Rock, in 1994.
He was a painter with M. Gordon and Sons in Harrisburg, Pa., for 28 years, retiring in 1984.
He served with the U.S. Army, during World War II.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda L. McNew of Fayetteville and Vickie L. Oyer of Chambersburg; a son, Delbert C. Rock of Browns Mill, N.J.; two sisters, Irene Jack of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Betty Heck of Boise, Idaho; three brothers, Harold Rock of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., Richard Rock of Chambersburg and Millard "Sam" Rock of State Line, Pa.; four grandchildren; and a companion, Betty J. Yeager of Chambersburg.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Clinton J. Shore Sr.
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Clinton James Shore Sr., 64, of McConnellsburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Western Maryland Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born Aug. 4, 1934, in Neelyton, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles and Lacca Larue Appleby Shore.
In early years, he had worked as a truck driver, later as a security guard. More recently, he had been a deputy sheriff in Fulton County from 1984 to 1996. He was serving as Todd Township Constable.
He served with the U.S. Army from 1956 through 1958.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Chilcoate Shore, whom he married
July 20, 1953; five children, Clinton Shore Jr., Cheryl Shore and Curtis Shore, all of McConnellsburg, Christine McKnight of Shade Gap, Pa., Craig Shore of Hustontown, Pa.; two brothers, Clarence Shore of Mercersburg, Pa., and David Shore of Shade Gap, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
He attended Knobsville Church of the Brethren, McConnellsburg.
He was a member of the former I.O.O.F. Lodge 484, Fort Littleton, Pa.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, Pa. The Rev. Chris Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in Hustontown Cemetery, Hustontown, Pa. The Fulton Honor Guard will provide full military honors.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
There will be no public viewing.

Z. Inez Plumb
FORT LOUDON, Pa. - Z. Inez Plumb, 85, of Fort Loudon, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Fulton County Medical Center.
Born March 19, 1913, in Needmore, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Pearl Akers Mellott.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John M. Harris, in 1947.
She was employed as a seamstress with Sagner and Fort Loudon Sewing Factory.
She is survived by her second husband, Raymond E. Plumb, whom she married
Nov. 22, 1958; a daughter, Dorothy L. Johnson of Montpelier, Ohio; a son, Ronald N. Harris of Fort Loudon; two sisters, Lydia Stevens of St. Thomas, Pa. and Vera Deshong of Needmore; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, Pa. The Rev. David Carroll will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m.
J. Calvin Cook
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - J. Calvin Cook, 93, formerly of 12257 Fort Loudon Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at Piney Mountain Nursing Home, Fayetteville, Pa.
Born March 22, 1905, in Little Cove, Pa., he was the son of the late S. Helser and Mae Poffenberger Cook.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Zimmerman Cook, in 1968.
He was a dairy farmer for many years and retired in 1969. During the winter months of Word War II, he worked at Pangborn and Fairchild, both of Hagerstown; and Penna Turnpike.
He was a life member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church of Little Cove.
He was a Montgomery Township fire warden for 25 years.
He was an avid hunter.
He is survived by a daughter, Leone E. Overcash of Chambersburg, Pa.; and a brother, H. Robert Cook of Little Cove.
He was preceded in death by a son, a sister and a brother.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Henry K. Johnson and the Rev. Henry Hunsberger will officiate. Burial will be in Stone Church Cemetery of Little Cove.
The viewing will be Sunday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Mary C. McKee
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Mary C. McKee, 95, of Fort Wayne, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, in Fort Wayne.
Born Dec. 5, 1903, in Warfordsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank P. and Alice R. Hart Plessinger.
She was a substitute teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools, retiring in 1968.
She is survived by one son, Donald McKee of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. at Howard Sipes Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Pa. Burial will be in Whips Cove Cemetery in Warfordsburg.
Friends may call at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne, Sunday, Jan. 31, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Whips Cove Cemetery Association.
Helen E. Felix
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Helen E. Born Jan. 27, 1914, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Omer W. and Rose McCardle Hopwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Felix, in 1988. They were married
in December 1934.
She was a 1932 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
She worked for 11 years as a nurses aide at South Mountain Restoration Center. She then worked at Quincy United Methodist Home for several more years as a nurses aide.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Waynesboro.
She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Felix Evans of Waynesboro; a son, Stephen W. Felix of Valatie, N.Y.; a sister, Dorothy Zaph of Baltimore; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Hopwood Langenberg; and two brothers, Edward Hopwood and Charles Hopwood.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro. Father Thomas J. Hemler will be celebrant. Burial will be in Saint Andrew's Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. A Rosary Service will be held Monday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
