GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Ronald E. "Ron" Finafrock, 61, of 519 Meadowview Circle, Greencastle, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at his home.
Born March 10, 1937, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of Daisy Blair Zeigler of Greencastle and the late Harry E. Finafrock.
He was a 1955 graduate of James Buchanan High School and served an apprenticeship at Landis Tool Co.
He was employed at Landis Tool Company, Waynesboro, for 43 years and he was currently manager of rebuild operations.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, McConnellsburg, Pa., where he served on the church council.
He was a post member of Harry D. Zeigler VFW Post 6319 of Greencastle and Waynesboro American Legion Post 15, Foreman's Club of Landis Tool Co., Cumberland Valley Hockey Association and Ducks Unlimited. He was active in the Boy Scouts and enjoyed woodworking and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, June Brooke Finafrock; a daughter, Kelly J. Cuff of Mercersburg, Pa.; a son, Terry Finafrock of Zullinger, Pa.; a sister, Lorraine Mellott of Chambersburg; a brother, L. Joe Finafrock of Greencastle; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Carl Finafrock, and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle Street, Greencastle. The Rev. Henry K. Johnson and Vicar Ryan Fischer will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ernestine V. Monn
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Ernestine V. Bakner Monn, 78, of 7031 Anthony Highway, Waynesboro, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, in Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born April 14, 1920, in Fairview, Quincy Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Mern H. Bakner Sr., and Lulu M. Cole Bakner.
She attended Quincy schools.
She was employed at Stanley Company, Chambersburg, as a presser for a number of years. She also worked at Quincy United Methodist Home, Quincy, in the housekeeping department for 10 years.
She was a member of Blue Rock United Brethren in Christ Church, Tomstown, Pa., and of Willing Workers Sunday School Class, where she served as treasurer, the Women's Missionary Fellowship, and Kitchen Committee of the church. She helped with communion for 35 years.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ralph E. Monn; a sister, Rosetta S. Minnich of Waynesboro; a brother, Merne H. Bakner Jr. of Chambersburg; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Donald L. Bender and the Rev. Jaye M. Bartle will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Quincy.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marvin V. Hetrick
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Marvin V. Hetrick, 69, of 2935 Roosevelt Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born March 31, 1929, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Herbert and Mabel Kauffman Hetrick.
He was a 1946 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
He was employed as an iron worker with various contractors in the northern New Jersey area.
He served in the Air Force.
He was a member of Burt J. Asper Post 46, American Legion, Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia L. Kump Hetrick, whom he married
in 1950; a son, Steven W. Hetrick Sr. of Chambersburg; two sisters, Shirley Anne Schmidt of Fayetteville, Pa., and Jean Diffenderfer of Chambersburg; two brothers, Rodney K. Hetrick of Concord, N.C., and William H. Hetrick of Chambersburg; a granddaughter; a grandson and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel K. Hetrick.
A memorial services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Chaplain Charles L. McGuire will officiate. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends today from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
There will be no viewing.

Nancy L. Avey
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Nancy L. Avey, 51, of 332 W. Born June 12, 1947, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of Robert G. Hardman of Waynesboro and the late Virginia A. Rock Hardman.
She was a 1965 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School and a 1966 graduate from Waynesboro Business College.
She was employed at CVS Pharmacy, Waynesboro, as a clerk. Prior to that, she was employed at Ye Olde Grill, McCroy's Store, both of Waynesboro, Kraft Korner and Corning Outlet Store.
She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Waynesboro.
She was a member of Friends of Renfrew, Waynesboro, and served as minority inspector at Fairview School during elections.
She is survived by her husband, Charles R. "Dick" Avey, whom she married
in 1968; a daughter, Amy R. Muck of Quincy, Pa.; a son, Andrew R. Avey of Shippensburg, Pa.; a brother, Robert L. Hardman of Dallas; a granddaughter; two nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Waynesboro. The Rev. Gary A. Miller will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
Marjorie I. Shaw

She is survived by her husband, Amos W. Shaw, whom she married
in 1938; a daughter, Sarah E. Shaw of Hustontown; a son, Leonard W. Shaw of Hustontown; a sister, Charlotte Cordell of Pond Bank, Pa.; a brother, Glenn B. Kelso of Jersey Shore, Pa.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Amos Leo Shaw; two sisters, Vada Chilcote and Dotte Rouzer; a brother, Eugene Kelso; and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. The Rev. Chris Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, RD Waterfall, Pa.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
